Good choice for boss theme, hell personally I would've done the same thing cause it's a fire theme and would work well if it was like an actual boss theme and me personally To The Grave would be the final one because it's such a good theme to where I actually cried when I first listened to it

1. Ultra Sonic only appeared 3 times in the comics, it's not "overrated" 2. 1 Super Emerald >= The Master Emerald (14 Chaos Emeralds) > 7 Chaos Emeralds. Why? Usually, Sonic needs to get 7 Chaos Emeralds to turn into Super Sonic. However, there was other times when characters who use Chaos Energy or embody Chaos itself didn't use the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles and Sonic absorbed the energies of 12 Chaos Emeralds and 50 Power Rings from Master Mogul. They have used the Master Emerald, which was a power battery made up of 14 Chaos Emeralds, to go "Super" several times. When Sonic used the Super Emerald, he first turned into Super Sonic, and then Ultra. Even with Post-Harmony Chaos Emeralds (fused into the 7 Chaos Emeralds), Sonic retains his Super Form and then goes Ultra if he uses more Chaos Energy or absorption of Power Rings.

However, Hyper Sonic only appeared in S3&K while Ultra Sonic only appeared in the Archie Sonic Comics. The Archie Sonic Comics are Canon too since Archie Sonic has gone through the same (or similar) events as Game Sonic. Despite it being featless and Sega not bringing it back, Hyper Sonic >> Ultra Sonic.
