I absolutely love how this song tells a story. It's a story that goes perfectly with the game because the 1st phase radiates dread, like you've finally meet your end. But after you attempt to fight back, you start to feel stronger. While perfectly leads to the end bit of this song. And if you think of the final boss of this game, it fits so perfectly

Bentley Jones somehow became the singer of two of my favorite Sonic related songs when I first became a fan of Sonic as a whole. 5 months later almost 6... This song still goes insanely hard.
This song is so dang epic, my favorite section being part 2 where you permanently transform into Super Sonic. It gives me 2000s era final boss vibes. Awesome job!

I love Mania mechanic of rings acting as health being used in the fight too, where getting hit only takes so little rings.
Phase 2 was awesome, but I still think the idea of transforming in and out of super sonic in a fight was genius.

I don't know if I'm dumb, but when playing the game I thought these were two different songs. Incredible sound design! The changing perspective is awesome songwriting, musically and lyrically. Instant goosebump factory at the bridge. "Can I carry it!?" This song is right up there with Live and Learn and What I'm Made Of. Absolutely amazing stuff

@@jmachero5852 I checked that out, and I’d say I prefer this one. I do get why people might prefer The Exile though, especially since fans are upset over the controversy around it and the dev teams treatment of the artist.
This one gives me more of a heroic vibe, and while some think it’s more suited for Shadow, I think the chorus firmly plants it as a Sonic theme.

The dark and sinister parts of the song make me think of Slipknot, while the lighter, heroic parts of the song make me think of Metal Gear Rising (where Raiden fights boss-like enemies).

Do I need to point you to the tsunami of actual porn of characters from this franchise? Or the constant upskirting of Amy that just happens in some games Amy appears in (not even playable) such as SA1, 2, Heroes, and even Advance 3? This is far from the weirdest thing in Sonic, official or otherwise, and as far as I'm aware, this isn't even something you can see in-game with ease like Amy's underwear, so it might as well not be there in the first place. This is the dumbest thing to complain about given what fandom you're in, and only serves to de-legitimize the other, valid criticisms about the game and its studio.

I gotta say despite all the, talks, around this game. I gotta say this is truly 1 of my favorite songs, not just Sonic songs, but like my all time favorite song ever made.
Truly a phenomenal job John as well to the amazing Bentley Jones's vocals. Bentley just elevated this to perfection, more than it already was.
While I have my opinions on the game and the boss this plays at, the song is an absolute banger.
I can't click on this video without my body instinctively putting this on replay and then my mind just giving in and listening to it 10 times in a row. I'm not even lying when I say this, I like this more than any of the lyrical themes from Sonic Frontiers, and that is saying a lot. Honestly, the Sonic Omens OST compared to Sonic Games, is up there in S Tier with other amazing Game Soundtracks like Sonic Frontiers and Sonic 06. For real this entire Game OST and this one Soundtrack especially, is just amazing, I love it so damn much, it's so cool what fangames can do.

Now THIS is climatic music. For the past few Sonic games, the final boss themes have been lackluster with Colors being the last one to offer any satisfying high to finish the game in epic fashion. Sure, this isn't orchestral, but this theme gives ode to the early 2000's games and the delivery of these 2 phases were just perfect. Not to mention it was a breath of fresh air not to have a flying or chase sequence for this final boss, it was just Sonic and The Exiled in an arena fight where YOU were in complete control of Super Sonic. Just awesome!👍

Me either. But it was quite the send off wasn't it? Unlike the rest of his kind, the Exiled didn't have a lust for power or domination, he just wanted the best for his people. After they were all gone, he had nothing left to live for.. at least, until he met Chris. Knowing him, he probably accepted the Exiled with open arms, but it was ironically their friendship that caused the final Metarex to give up on the world (once Chris finally died).

Бэнтли Джонс в роли вокалиста - просто лучшее в мире для такой песни. Весь текст словно битва, то Злодея с Героем, то с самим собой против голосов, что он не справится. Ну и вторая часть песни, которая среди игроков, наверное самая любимая, как и вторая часть битвы сама по себе нагоняет эпика, и, конечно, больше внутреннего диалога о Судьбе мира, что лежит сейчас на плечах Соника.

Уже в этом эпичном отрывке в кривом моем переводе чувствуется терзание Соника и волнение за других, которое выливается в концовке игры. В этой песне - душа Соника, которая хоть и полна оптимизма, но не ослеплена им.
Настрой на победу, сомнения, переживания - все в этой песне. И то, как в начале эхом звучали слова "Он не вынесет, он не справится", а в конце эхом уже поются слова припева, характеризующие весь принцип Соника - "Чувствую всю судьбу мира, что выпадает мне. Выпадает мне, но я слишком горд, чтобы сдаться. Чувствую сдвиг в энергии сил света... Должен держаться, должен быть сильным, это будет недолго - решить судьбу мира" - просто невероятная деталь развития сюжета песни, да и подталкивает поднажать, победить, защитить мир и друзей, что помогли ему проделать весь этот путь до конца.
По истине лучшая песня в игре, пересказывающая сюжет игры своей идеей, словно вспоминая последние события. А инструментал - выше всяких похвал (даже в рифму сказал). Обожаю такой стиль ака DMC 5 (ну прямо похож стиль, и это отпадно), энергия так и прет, мотивирует сражаться в битве и подкрепляет ее важность.
Спасибо, Джон и Бэнтли, за великолепную композицию, которая уже месяц крутится в голове и плеере, я наверное не устану ее постоянно петь)))

The biggest unfortunate circumstance about that laughable, petty drama is that most of the people never got to experience the fight with The Exiled. That entire sequence is one of the best things I've ever seen in Sonic history. I wish I had a PC good enough to run Omens, I would've happily played through the game blind in a heartbeat.

They literally talked with a SEGA representative themselves, inviting them to take a closer look at Omens, and absolutely nothing happened.
I don't agree with the narrative that Omens devs "almost made SEGA act like Nintendo" to fan works, if anything, like the case of SEO, they would take down just that game and leave the rest. SEGA isn't an absolutionist like Nintendo, they'd definitely get rid of the few problem fan-games and let the rest continue to be public.
Nothing the Omens did was "fucked" beyond reasonable course of action, if anything, without the proper context, the Omens devs made a few mistakes. With the context however, these mistakes are nowhere near egregious, but that's overlooked in favor of the narrative; "Sonic Omens is a poorly polished game, and the devs are terrible people", which is simply slanderous libel.
You're free to have your grievances with the game, even if I may disagree with them, but to slander the devs while doing so is a bit unnecessary.

Frankly, my opinion on this has become neutral at this point after hearing about this.
This is something I wanted for Sonic for a long time, that thrill, it's been some time since the last time I felt like that because of a Sonic game.

The writing for this song is GENIUS. Love the fact that it tells a story and has vocals that represent two different perspectives, on top of it being one of the most epic final boss themes I've ever heard. You guys really out did yourselves here. Absolutely love it.

There are two styles here, I like to call them the light and dark motifs.
It starts with the dark. Telling you how worthless you are. Week, powerless. You fell right into it's trap. It has you where it wants you. You are nothing but a small rocks in the road. Then the light motif hits. It's your turn
You more the just an obstacle. You are here to stop it. It should not underestimate you for you are ready to fight to the death and win.
Then the dark hits again. It no longer underestimates you. It knows your a threat and it knows you know you have power. It's scared. It's attacking you directly now. Not holding back anything, as it comes to strike down, the light motif rises again. You will not go down so easily you attack and dodge you know you have the upper hand and nothing can stop you.
As the dark motif tries to come in the light pushes it back. It now has no power. You are in control now. It started with the dark filling the room but you turned on the light. You are gaining strength as it grows too week to even have it's motif.
There is no more darkness in the room. You are the controller now.
Maybe you can't handle the weight of the entire world but you are going to do ANYTHING to be able to save. It may fall down you but you are not giving in. You have to be strong. As what is left of the dark hits you it no longer damages you. For the wound you aquire remind you why you are fighting. You light up the dark and save the world

This theme... is SO good man. I was glued to my seat during the bossfight. Not only that, but I honestly think this theme is up there with Crush 40's best Sonic tracks.

I'm in absolute amaze with this. It really gives me some Celldweller and Blue Stahli vibes, which are some composer I really like. Tbh, I find everything about this game to be just overlooked. Sure the quality of the game can be questionable, but I personally don't care about the drama.

These moments when u can’t boost in phase 1 are really strong, it’s my opinion but when u can’t run fast and the dark moments of the song are playing it makes me feel fear and hopeless……. Until I get my boost bar full and become strong again!!!
