Happy birthday to Lily! Learning about & Juliet was a weird moment for me. I'd always associated jukebox musicals with artists from my parents' time, so it was weird to see a musical featuring songs from my teen years. A decent 7500 today!
Annie was the first touring company I ever saw with Kathleen Freeman as Miss Hannigan and later saw it with Sally Struthers. Nothing but good memories of the show and the people I saw it with. I hope Lillie has the same sweet memories of being Annie and I'm sure she was great.
I got 2400. I’m kicking myself that I said Nathan and Adelaide were engaged 15 years and that the fake last name was Mud, not Mudge. This was a fun one! Happy birthday Lillie! You were an awesome emcee!
Yes, preach about Head Over Heels.... preach! I almost went back to see it again twice in one NY visit. I even saw Bonnie and Peppermint randomly on the street the next day and was able to tell them in person how outstanding they were. ❤
I was in a regional production of Peter Pan in my teens. One of the other kids in the show (she danced the kangaroo) was called Kendall Shepherd, and we always spent “Tender Shepherd” cracking up backstage 😂
Happy Birthday to your daughter! 🎉 Busy times at my house as our daughters are Oct 12 and Oct 20. Our older one’s first musical attended was a local production of Annie when she was three. Great memories!
I swear to Sondheim - this weeks episode was the hardest yet! Well done Marc - you had us stumped more times than I’m going to admit here! Great to see your very talented daughter getting in on the action - and a very Happy Birthday from all of us! Sending our best wishes, Christopher, April & the fabulous Izzy B!
Another round of Thursday fun! Also, it's great hearing about shows I'm less familiar with so I can check out their scores. And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Lillie! You were a great co-host! :-)
Just for that comment about the 99 version of Rooster and Lily being your favorite (mine too, it’s my favorite version of “Annie”, I am hitting that shubscriber button! I also love the Jeopardy format combined with another favorite of mine, Broadway!
I just found your channel a week ago and not only am I caught up on Broadway Jeopardy, but am also starting SCHMIGAGO. I just binge-watched SCHMIGADOON. Thank you!!!!
Happy belated birthday, Lily! Loved your ANNIE category! I have been learning more about the very first dog to play Sandy in the original production. Marc, you may be interested in this also if you’re not already familiar with this story. I bought a book about how his trainer found him and saved his life at a shelter. I thought it was really neat that the same dog they had from the beginning kept performing in the stage show in other cities even after the Broadway run closed. While it is a different dog in the 1982 film version, this first “Sandy” was flown into my town where I live in South Carolina in 1983 to reprise his role in the first ever regional production of ANNIE once the rights were available. This happened before I was born, but I’m told they rolled out the red carpet to greet “Sandy” at the airport here, and every performance in town sold out. This would have been a big deal at the time along with the popularity of the movie. I’m sure there are photos since the media was there as well.
Well…after 20 weeks, it was bound to happen…the clues are getting super obscure…6000 is the score only because I knew the final jeopardy. Thanks for the game any way. And happy day…Lillie
Not a great round by me, but still fun. Great job by Lily! Kicking myself that I couldn't remember Bert Healy but could remember the lovely Boylen sisters!!!
Small correction. Rooster and Lily pretend to be Annie's parents in the 1982 film version, but in the Broadway show, it's Rooster and Miss Hannigan who do it because Miss Hannigan says that Lily St. Regis is too dumb and would give the shceme away. This sets up Lily to be part of foiling the scheme at the end.
You may be thinking of the 1999 Disney version, which is Rooster and Ms. Hannigan. But in the original Broadway version it is indeed Rooster and Lily who pose as Annie's "parents" Ralph and Shirley.
I got all but one of the Annie column (shame on me for missing Bert Healy 😔). But to be fair, I think I've been in three different productions of Annie, so.... I never get the answers to any of the newer shows, so I'll take it.
Re: juke box musicals, I suppose The Beggar's Opera, a favorite of mine, could be called a juke box musical of 1728. Beautiful music, popular songs with new lyrics.
Can you please try to pronounce PAJAMA with the “ah” instead of the “AA”? In regular conversation it doesn’t matter, but in reference to the show the libretto references “ah.”
We need more Lillie!! She's too cute 😊🥰 Happy birthday, Lillie!!! 🎉🎊
She's just a Broadway Baby...
Your daughter is delightful.
Happy Birthday little Libra Lily. My Birthday was the 14th and I'm old at 56. When I was you age Annie was my favorite too.
Happy birthday to Lily!

2000, my worst in a while. Still a weekly highlight. Happy birthday, Lillie, glad your dad shared the clip of you singing "Tomorrow"!
I found another jukebox musical in heavenly scene . Grease . And I wish you a happy birthday Miss Maybe , little girl .
So adorable getting to see the birthday girl!

Before the final round, I had $6,000. It was a lot of fun as always. Happy Birthday Lily!!!!
Happy birthday Lily🎉
final score 12,000. I really liked the Comden and Greene category. You should do a Kander and Ebb category.
I swear to Sondheim - this weeks episode was the hardest yet! Well done Marc - you had us stumped more times than I’m going to admit here!

As a former 10 year old girl who was obsessed with Annie I would like to thank Lilly for the category
I just found your channel a week ago and not only am I caught up on Broadway Jeopardy, but am also starting SCHMIGAGO. I just binge-watched SCHMIGADOON. Thank you!!!!

Also $2200 for me this time. Will catch up on the rest soon!
Great job on the song, Lily!
Happy birthday to your eldest! It was also my mom’s birthday and my anniversary on Oct 17. Oct 21 my younger kid turns 9.
Way too late, but Happy Birthday Lillie!!! What a wonderful Annie you were

@@broadwaybyghostlight Yes, you're right. I was assuming that the Disney version reflected the original Broadway version.
Happy birthday to Lily/Lillie!
