  • This is a solo on a hybrid kit I've created to replicate a traditional durnset. I'm sitting on and playing a cajon. I have a djembe in snare position, bongos in mounted tom position and timbale in floor tom position. I'm also playing a bell with my right foot and cymbals and hi hat. This setup allows me to tap into my drumset independence while exploring a variety of world percussion techniques.
Please comment and share as you see fit.
    Peace,
    Tom

Trying something similar for a gig soon. I'm glad I'm not the only one experimenting with hybrid kits :)

What's up Tom thanks for that demonstration of that video my friend. That helps me a lot because I I have a djembe and a set of bongos I did setup that way that you did but I don't have have a timbale. Idk do I want one or not but it's all about being created and thanks again for that video my friend.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Why not use a micro snare instead of the rattle box? Cajon is the opposite of tone.
