I’m so glad you informed people about being broke down,when I had planned to do this that was my only fear. Thank you for showing that it will happen and how to cope with it and above all having a savings is crucial. Made a real difference. Wonderful. You live in what could be defined as The great Forests, Desserts, and Basins of this country in a small place with a dog..you do not buy brand new and you are wise by doing that. The country you cover gives a ding or two and stickers on back remind yourself and others this gem is worth it...and lives all over...she does not sit in one place in the land of no dust and cement. Clean and lovely as is. And the other thing...Wowsza.

Thank you for posting the scam. 60 Minutes just did a story tonight on one woman who had been scammed in almost exactly the same way. It sucks. I was scammed by a so called "tech company" via my laptop.😢
A Good way to get unstuck from mud or sand, is to buy a 36 inch x 4 foot roll of chain link fence. Have the roll cut in half.
Unroll a strip of it and place it in front of the slipping wheel and use a stick to wedge it under the front edge of the rear wheel or wheels with rear wheel drive . For front wheel drive vehicles, do the same, but in front of the front wheels.
Then slowly roll forward and get unstuck.
Buy the thick, hard guage galvanized chain link fencing. It t really works. Doesn't take up much space either when rolled up.

Cool that northern lights came that far south, and you were in a good viewing spot with open skies. If you get a chance to watch 60 Minutes tonight they did a thing on scammers that prey on grandparents and parents….

Looks a lot better. I think you did a good job. It always makes me feel good when my car is clean. But honestly it hasn’t been cleaned over two years. Thank God it rains really hard here sometimes and it get a lot of the dust off.😊

Looks Great rv’s are a task. I had a 31ft and it took all day to wash… so sorry for stressful rv troubles

Make sure you never blindly add fluids to your vehicle, too much can also cause problems. Whomever you have work on your motorhome make sure you have them check your levels before you hit the road again.

Sounds like "vapor lock". Check your exhaust system to make sure there's not a hole or leak in it which is near fuel line from tank, helping to heat it up, creating a vapor bubble of fuel which is called "vapor lock", and it happens most commonly in higher altitude with high air temps too.
great video Carolyn, hopefully your RV issues get fixed soon. it seems like you could be having issues with fuel delivery when its hot or after driving for a awhile.you mentioned the fuel pump was replaced 3yrs ago and they can still go bad maybe remind the tech to check fuel pressure with the gauge or the scanner to make sure you dont have a voltage drop at the pump when hot. its just a suggestion. So what inspired you to wash your rig after 4 years!? I took a great class from a woman who teaches auto maintenance for other women, and I remember her saying how important it is to clean your vehicle thoroughly, frequently, because the process of running your washcloth over every nook & cranny helps to familiarize yourself with every aspect of the vehicle and when any rust or damage starts you catch it early.
I'm so jealous I live in Michigan and didn't see the northern lights!! You will get RV fixed is what I think, or a new one??

Been stuck once, in a camper van. We were lucky took 8 guys and the leveling blocks n pads to get us out.
I wonder if corals could live in Lake Mead since it's so strong in calcium deposits? That would be an interesting study to see if it could support coral formations in it.

IMO, an absolutely must have in any RV, is a trans temp gauge. I got lucky, in my '03 Tahoe Z71 tow rig, that it was wired for one but didn't come with one. I had to rebuild the dash anyway, so I put one in and it worked.
I love how you are interested and excited about the seemingly "small" wonders of nature.
I think the wash was good. A little expensive but ur RV was for sure cleaner.
I swam in lake mead in 1995 when there was plenty of water- it’s shocking how much it’s dried up.
I watch another channel called "Sin City Outdoors" that has done several videos on Lake Mead over the last year and the effects of the drought. Its a father and son who do a lot of fishing on the Lake and also explore surrounding areas. Very good channel. Entertaining and personable.
You to Sadie, “ You could’ve drowned. That’s as big as you are,” Sadie (dragging the log up out of Lake Mead), “Look, Mom! It’s a stick! I found a stick!” 😅😂

RAIN-X the headlights. it gets the yellow stuff off. put on dry headlights a good amount of Rain X with a few paper towels rub.. let dry rub off.
The beautiful rock garden you visited seemed very spiritual to me. I would love to visit there and see it for myself. I have to say I really really enjoy all of the history, statistics and info that you share in your videos. I absolutely loved watching Sadie and her big stick!
To each his own, but I think it's supposed to be a natural space for everyone to enjoy, not a place for self-absorbed people to think that they are some kind of artistic genius because they stacked some rocks. People go out in nature to enjoy NATURE, not other people's supposed art projects.
Can you describe what you are looking for when you get out and check a possible campsite in the desert? Is the sand softer than usual? What does a potentially dangerous site FEEL like? Thanks for the consistently great videos. Maybe Sadie was hoping you'd throw that log for her to fetch! I love learning about historical stuff.

The camper looks nice after she got a bath but I think the headlights look foggy that might affect your night driving vision. You can make them look like new by a car detailer.

Love this video! You can clean your headlights yourself with actual toothpaste. Scrub it on and let it dry. Then rinse it off. Just try it on one headlamp and see the difference! I’m an old woman with a long term disability, Neuroendocrine Cancer. I’m getting ready to get on the road with my RV, hopefully in the next few months. Preparing right now!!! Best wishes! Fuel pump going out ot fuel filter. The newer trucks' fuel pumps and fuel filter are together in the tank.

Sounds like what I've would've done.😁 Weigh out pros and cons on continuing on to campsite or get it done: Since it was a Friday and most mechanic shops closed for the weekend, and would've have to cancel plans with friends and stay in a hotel. I would rather enjoy time with friends in a beautiful place over the weekend, mentally and emotionally recharge and deal with it Monday.😁
