It saves time and it’s safer than having a couple of extra people on the field retrieving the hammers and in the firing line (so to speak). During an event all the competitors get 3 throws and the best then go through to get 3 more that soon adds up to a lot of toing and froing. You can’t have the people walking with their backs to the throwers, so would have to wait each time for the guy retrieving the hammer to walk the 150-160m round trip after each throw.
i think the car returns the hammers. the holes are still there. probably covered by a little nudge from the judges feet. you don't see them for the same reason the gras in your neighbours garden always looks better than your own: angle.
The strongest men on earth- who compete in "power" sports- have a lot of fat on them versus other types of athletes. Having fat on your body does not make you "out of shape" per se. The men with the absolute highest amount of muscle on any given frame will always have a higher percentage of fat- as the male body's metabolism will not easily allow the heaviest muscle to form: unless the body has the fat to support it.
@@stevethea5250 Perhaps the people who are doing the measurements pick up the hammer off the ground and put it on the RC Car so the car can go back to the hammer shelf, I'm sure the car is strong enough to still move with the hammer on it.
This is common for the hammer throw, it’s designed like that because if it was fully open and they were to foul the shower it would go well into the track and bounce somewhere else. It’s closed like this for right hand throwers, the gates are switched for left hand throwers for the same purpose
