      Nothing like segal sitting near food , talking about the Evil in eating fish because it’s a sentient being , or him near a nude Asian woman telling her how he needs to teach her pressure points so she can massage him ….. and who can forget him rage flipping a table,of succulent Asian food . It's very strange considering that Seagal possesses the exact attributes that allow him to flatten that fort in less than 10 seconds (minus speed), and the prisoners all saw him before. Yet, despite knowing they will eventually be facing the human bowling ball himself, this is the tactic that they went for.

    I honestly think that if you had the time and inclination, you could take all the Steven Seagal movies, put them through a video editor to strip apart every cut and scene, put them in a scrambler, and let a 90 minute movie come out with all the clips in random order, and you would have a movie indistinguishable from any of the actual releases.

    Typically the buttstock is held tight into the shoulder (not the armpit) this give 4 points of contact (left hand, right hand, shoulder, and cheek).
    Holding the stock of a rifle (or shotgun) *above* the shoulder is called "short stocking", and is taught in the US and other militaries as a technique to be used in confined spaces. (eg kicking in doors and clearing buildings room by room)
    It can make going around corners easier and makes it harder for someone to grab the barrel of your weapon.
    It isn't super accurate, but at close distances can work ok.
    With weapons such as the AR15/M16/M4 platform it benefits from the low recoil of .223 rounds.
    There is *never* a reason to use this technique in the open, as Seagal was. (except to look cool... like holding your pistol sideways "gangsta style")

    • @RedEyeReviews
      @RedEyeReviews  3 года назад +25

      This is a very well written explanation! I didn't know any of this but it makes perfect sense.
      Thank you so much for this and for proving that indeed Seagal just doesn't know what he is doing lol.

    • @Tekisasubakani
      @Tekisasubakani 3 года назад +14

      All true, but there's no way in hell you are short stocking a drum fed shotgun on fully automatic [not sure but I think it is a USAS-12]...unless of course you are this meatball and immune to the effects of recoil.

    • @brotherjew1
      @brotherjew1 2 года назад +2

      I mean… technically there is a reason… but it’s laziness. Gripping by the mag well, and stock over the shoulder is… if you’re tired, out of shape and fat. So. There *is* a reason, and that reason is very Segal.

      Got'cha, buddy. No harm intended by my snark. I come from a deeply military/hunter family. My favorite gun was always my grandpa's ancient octagonal barrel .22, which he won in a poker game during WWI while expanding Fort Sheridan in Northern Illinois. That old gun had the most uncanny accuracy. No sort of modern assault rifle at all, it would nonetheless allow you to hit targets (most usually the deer Grandpa was poaching during the Depression) from incredible distances...

  • @FeeriiEekii
    @FeeriiEekii 3 года назад +17

    12:25 You are correct; the butt of the weapon should be firmly placed in the shoulder, for the following reasons: 1. is more stable, so way better accuracy, 2. recoil will be less severe, so less ouch (depending on the weapon you could dislocate your shoulder) 3. you're at risk of loosing grip and weapon flying back (there should be plenty of youtube video examples). There are (way) more details that can be pointed out but those 3 are the most important ones. Since I'm serving in the (Dutch) army for close to 20 years now I feel qualified to answer this question for you ;-) Keep being awesome, your reviews are 👍💪

    Remember being excited Seagal and Austin were teaming up for a movie. Also recall being underwhelmed and pretty bored with the film in general. The two Steves are by far the best thing about it. Pretty much the last time we saw Seagal sans goatee. Could be wrong but is Steven reading his lines off the ground in the last scene? Can see what looks a lot like white paper reflected in his shades.

    My guess is that "on the ground" was a reference to MMA wrestling. And a rifle stock doesn't go in your armpit or over your shoulder it goes into your chest just to the side of the armpit.

    Yes you are correct about the gun it can be held up like that buy its a way of pushing through door ways that way you can push straight out with the rifle not to mention the gun you pointed it out woth was USAS-12 a 12 gauge full auto shotgun and the recoil of that gun wouldve have broken the collar bone he has clearly never recieved wepons training from anyone in his career I can teach him how to hold and use a gun for free because i cant stand how he holds it

  • @nickcoolace

    How he can shoot that USAS-12 without the stock on your shoulder? After 1 shot, that shotgun will flying in the air and smack that Seagal nose to bleed.
