You should watch F1. It's very exciting stuff with plenty of great drivers atm, we have Lando, Charles, Oscar, George, etc. We are being spoilt with the greatest crop of drivers in history.

My guess is he just retires from the sport as well. 25 car is already designed most likely and he’s probably mentored Pierre Wache and all of the Redbull engineers that they’ll be fine without him for 26 on the Chassis side of things.
These days people carry on working way past retirement for the love of their job, sounds like his heart's still in it, and he's expressed an interest with a couple of teams.

@@bjrnchrstn F1 champions have always needed a competitive car. Fangio only took 1 year contracts so he could always switch teams to a competitive car. When Mercedes joined F1 he even switched mid season to race in their car

If Adrian does not retire, it might just come down to where does he prefer to live.
He can basically choose any team he wants to on the grid, he wants to have the right influence on the team and he also wants to live in the right place for himself.

I’m sure he could find a nice birth on the Italian Adriatic coast that wouldn’t take long to get to in a helicopter .
And it would make for very pleasant sailing .

Wherever he ends up I suspect he’ll want to push for a free hand to design exotic road cars for whoever he works for (Gordon Murray comes to mind).
Aston Martin or Ferrari are obvious candidates but who knows if Mercedes, Audi or another manufacturer may throw their hat in the ring. He may even ditch F1 altogether for WEC, either way whatever he decides to do the guy and key members of his wider design team (if they choose to follow him), won’t be short of offers.
So he basically doesn't know anymore than we do.
I heard that Adrian went into the RBR trophy cabinet and took Max's stolen 2021 trophy. He's now on his way to Lewis in order to give it back to him.
Adrian at one time used to work with a guy named Michael Andretti. Makes me wonder.
I reckon there's three options:
1) He goes to Ferrari
2) He goes to Aston Martin
3) He packs it in altogether, citing the new regulations.

On the other hand... Ferrari are a special team. If the stars align, it'd be hard to turn them down. These seem like the 2 frontrunner destinations for him if he is indeed leaving.

if Mercedes succeed in getting hold of Newey I wouldn't be surprised. a factory team who know how to win and can build good engines and that may also give incentive for max to join merc as well. the biggest curveball could be him joining the factory Audi team or maybe a shock return to McLaren (highly unlikely)

Ferrari is certainly a favorite spot to go to. But I wouldn’t sleep on Aston Martin. They are doing a massive investment for upcoming years with the Aramco partnership and Honda(the engine he has worked with for the last 5 years). The new factory in Silverstone would be incredibly close to his usual whereabouts. It could also be an option that he decides to retire. Despite all this, it wouldn’t be until mid 2027 that you could see the effect of his genius into the car
He’s only ever said that he’d move to Ferrari and he said he wanted to work with Lewis so it’s all adding up
Adrian has recently taken delivery of an Oyster 825. Might he become a brand ambassador for Oyster, do a bit of sailing and continue with the RB17 project?
That video floating around social media of Horner slapping that RedBull PR girls bottom prob pushed Newey over the edge, and seeing it all being brushed under the carpet prob didn’t seat well with this incredibly nice and humble man. I wish him all the best in his next endeavour 👍

It was reported by german journalist Michael Schmidt from auto motor sport. He is very well connected and a respected journalist. I’m quite sure it is true.
