July is disability pride month, it celebrates the passing of the ADA :) though I agree, it would be great if corporations could change their logos for that as well, to show us some support. But then again, most of them aren’t ADA complaint anyways, so they’d just get called hypocrites (even more than usual).

A lot of people are criticizing companies for celebrating Pride Month, but I don't have any beef with companies celebrating Pride in June, as long as they don't spend the other 11 months of the year being or supporting institutions, individuals, and organizations that work to repress or eliminate LGBTQ civil liberties. If you look at those patterns, you can see who is pandering and who isn't.

i get how it may be seen purely as virtue signaling, but here in ukraine seeing a company change their icon to a rainbow is a big deal. there is only a handful of companies doing that and as far as i know only 2-3 semi large brands involved. one huge electronics store chain supports pride each year and gets blasted in the comments for it. last time members of a local homophobic group protested in front of the shops, trying to convince people to stop buying there. they didn’t budge, even tried to educate people in the comments. made me love the store even more though. when i need something i know they sell i don’t even compare prices anymore. you support me, expect me to support you 🌈

I agree, so why not celebrate it along with everything else? Growing up I went to all different kinds of festivals and never felt left out. I learned about other cultures and customs, made friends and overall became more well rounded individually. Today people seem to think it's pie, like if one group celebrating means others are somehow diminished. Have fun! Learn about something that otherwise wouldn't be a thought in your life and embrace our respective differences and shared struggles rather than try to pop others balloons and shame people who are trying to find joy.

I agree, so why not celebrate it along with everything else? Growing up I went to all different kinds of festivals and never felt left out. I learned about other cultures and customs, made friends and overall became more well rounded individually. Today people seem to think it's pie, like if one group celebrating means others are somehow diminished. Have fun! Learn about something that otherwise wouldn't be a thought in your life and embrace our respective differences and shared struggles rather than try to pop others balloons and shame people who are trying to find joy.
