Jiyan looks so cool! Hoping they keep up with characters design like his. I feel some of the other characters looks a bit simple. But very excited about the combat, this game is becoming so good! Can’t wait to play
interesting how there is back stepping movement considering battle is real time fast paced and how he's walking on a keyboard, makes it very cinematic. player could also be using a controller and that there's just no updated UI for that yet

yup boss attacks are very predictable and easily learned

It's just testing version. They might add many more moves in original one
This really shows how much the developers have worked to enhance the graphics of this game and I really appreciate their efforts.

I think a cool mechanic with these type of games would be: No Hits on a boss will enable an auto farm on it. Rewarding the skilled players while also making it not feel too much like a grind game for them cuz ill be honest, i dont want this to just feel like genshin with better combat.

This is great! But I wanted to know which rainy day were you saving the ultimate for?
Ultimate makes your camera buggy as it somehow cancel the lock on function which will make you lose track of the boss. Very risky to do especially since he has low stagger time and keeps moving around

Im glad they kept even the heavy weapons like the greatswords fast. In a fast paced game, making all weapons fast despite them potentially being game breaking is the only way to keep them viable. Too slow and nobody would use them vs all these light speed enemies. Reduce the scalings of the greatsword and it removes the point of it being a greatsword. Too fast then it can potentially powercreep the other weapons with its stronger scalings. Regardless of which choice you chose, half of the community will always go with the weapon they like while the others will chase the meta. There was never a perfect way but there was always a way to keep the class alive

I think they can add sparks or dimensional glass shattering or a colourful shield in different shape for each characters and bosses including light like sekrio to make it better while parrying. What do you think 🤔. And the best part of the game is parrying. 😉.
So it involves actual skill not thousands of dollars to be good at the game, noice.

looks like the game will have no one shot montage judging by the gameplay alone, just pure combo attacks with other characters that works with others (resonance mechanics) since thats how their power system works through frequency resonance if i remember

AHHHHHH IT'S THE LONGEST WAIT EVER.
Imagine if GI had kept HI3's combat mechanics like special attack gauges, perfect dodge/parry, and QTE switches. The QTE system in particular would have been amazing with elemental reactions. Too bad they dumbed down the combat to cater to casuals. From a financial perspective, it was a great move as they pulled in millions of people but some of us wanted the game to be more technical.
Good thing Wuthering Waves stuck to their guns and kept perfect dodging and I think they have QTE switches too?
They have QTE switches yes, and they can be activated even when the on-field chars are still in the middle of animations, so 2 characters will be on the field at the same time. Moreover, the recent build in G-star shows that every char now has a switch-out effect as well.
I mean they already said in the interview that the game is mainly directed to casual players... And it might be good for ppl who do work overtime

Requires you to be patient to understand the attack patterns, yet in the abyss, it doesn’t leave room for patience.

Teddy-wz9mw, it’s probably gonna be easy since kuro added a harder mode to level for certain items. In kuro’s latest dev talk or something they explained that wuthering waves will be aimed for all sorts of gamers hence why they added a harder mode
