Hey que bueno ver un entusiasta de relojes aqui, de que parte de CR es ??? Yo soy de Guadalupe Goicoechea Me acabo de comprar el Orient M Force Bravo Azul.
These things always make me think someone should make one that looks like a miniature washing machine. In fact, make one for dive watches that actually fills with water... I'm still not convinced there's a need for them - but there is something quite pleasing about seeing them working (which I appreciate you updating your previous video to make it clear that these ones do!). The price though: You mentioned the mad expensive one and what your watches would have to be worth to justify it - but even at $125 it would seem odd to use it for a watch that cost less than the winder. (Then again, one of my Amphibias is on a strap that cost more than the watch and, really, I suppose I have to accept that financial sense goes out of the window with the whole watch thing) Cheers.
They are really only needed for watches with complications like perpetual calendars etc that can be quite time consuming and/or difficult to set correctly. Other than that its more a convenience thing.
jk12324 because people who own a Rolex or omega or any luxury watch would probably not mind shelling out 300+ to get a winder so that they won’t have to service the watch for 1000
jk12324 nothing to be baffled about this is microeconomics it’s all decisions. Products are priced the way they are for their value added service and finishing sure you can get cheaper ones with motors that are prone to burning.
@@NunYa953 This is really ignorant. You can enjoy Rolex and other brands without "just spending the money". Weather we like it or not Rolex has history and some good pieces. Now if you are willing to spend the money on them that's another question. Personally I would like to have watches from other brands like Oris, Grand Seiko, Omega and Nomos before getting into Rolex.
I have a question, please help! What if I have a watch with a bracelet? These pillows aren’t very deep so my watch with a bracelet flops around in the winder any suggestions?
I have several of them. They're not bad for what they are considering watch winders can be insanely expensive. I've had mine for a couple years and they've been reliable enough. As for that power putting option. Why they have it? I don't know. As for the noise, I've slept beside mine for a while. It doesn't seem to be that loud.
I have a set of six of these boxy-brick winders, and recently I've discovered that a couple of my watches stopped working after a few days, even at full TPD, any suggestions ?
Just found your channel and am really enjoying your videos. Like the boxy watch winders, that's the first thing I noticed, so may have to get a couple.
what happens if, you stop the spin in the box? does it mess up the mechanism? I know for the swiss kubik theres no damage to it. I know the Brookstone winders mine at least were messed up. thank you in advance.
Irrelative to this topic, but have you ever reviewed on a citizen watch? Congratulations for your work! You inspired me to watch collection! Greetings from Hellas!
Can anyone tell me the name of the watch in the bottom right winder? Its the one that looks similar to a Mako II. I am not familiar with it and I try but can't make out the name. I also look through all JOMW reivews with no luck. Thanks for any help.
Have you ever pondered the fact that the 12 cent timing chip inside the watch winder keeps better time than the finest Patek you could find to sit inside it? While this fact doesn't prevent me from enjoying mechanical watches it does make owning watch winders seem kinda... perverse? Sorta like using a leaf blower to power your olde tyme windmill to mill your flour for your traditional bread in your old fashioned bakery.
For me, if I owned so many automatic mechanical watches that I could not keep them wound by wearing....well I'd probably get myself into a 12-step watch addiction program. But that's just me .
You really don’t need many watches to not be able to keep up, I have only 4 watches and 3 of them have between 36-42 hours of power reserve and only one with about 64hours of power reserve and a lot of times if I don’t move them a little every day I end up with unwinded watches and having to adjust them
I am in two minds regarding watch winders. Do they lessen the life of watch if its always wound? Mind you it would solve my Vostok date changing frustration. Is there such a thing as a quiet and cheap winder other than my wrist? Nice review
Hey Rob, No better or worse that wearing a watch, I think. But will obviously reduce life span compared to leaving the thing in a drawer! Do you know there is a hack for the Vostok date set? I think in my 710 review video. Cheers!
Yes I do use the hack but noticed this morning I hadn't changed the day on one of my Vostocks for a couple of weeks (who needs to know the date when you are on holidays!) I am sure there are people with more pressing problems in the world. Happy New Year!
Mate, running continuously for six months now with no issues. Are you in Australia? There is a supplier doing deals. They are OK if a little noisy. Cheers!

I want to like this system but it would cost me well over $500 for the four automatics I currently own and even your revised review isn't exactly a sterling endorsement. Shame, I like the concept, not the execution.
Look you don't need to get 4 winders. I say get one for a hard to set watch or to swap between two watches (one worn and one on the winder). I don't know if these winders are good but this applies to any winder.
I think these are just a waste of money, to expensive and a big scam. I have auto watches and when they run down, just wind them up again. 150 pound saved.
Martin Mowbray eventually your movement is gonna get screwed. Winding up and down the main spring causes wear and tear prematurely. Either fully wounded all the time by wearing 8 hours a day/ in a winder or Long term don’t wear it but then the lubrications comes into play there will be a problem.
Props for explaining your mistake, I respect that. Not many people on RUclips would do that
"Hola" again from Costa Rica, and thanks for the mention! ; )

Your video game collection is substantial!
I picked up a PS4 in late 2021. You should see it now!!!

💯 Agrred. Spot-on insight 👍
Kudos for owning it! Goes a long way in credibility. A scarce commodity these days.
It baffles me why watch winders are so expensive for what they are.
jk12324 because people who own a Rolex or omega or any luxury watch would probably not mind shelling out 300+ to get a winder so that they won’t have to service the watch for 1000
Exactly! I can buy an RC helicopter for 13,- which holds the same amount of plastic and 10x the technology.
This should be producqble for 5,-

Because people are suckers. That's why. And anyone with a Rolex collection, doesn't do much research, they just spend the money.

Thank you for the (updated) review Jody; very interesting. Cheers!
I noticed that if you stack 3 or 4 together , you can plug in the power port on any boxy and they all work.
It does the job. Excellent product.
Could you make a watch collection video? Would love to see what watches you have.
Mate! I did just that about a week ago! Cheers.
Oh wow... I must have missed that one :D
The original Boxy bricks are more reliable than the fancy models. I have 6 and have had no issues for years.

How long should I leave the winder turn on if let say I chose 650 TPD bi directional ? 24 hours?
Hey, happy new year to you! Can you do a review on Boldr watches? At least when you review them we get an in-depth review and watch usage.
Happy Hogmanay my friend!
Wowzaa Great vid! Love to have one soon! Happy New Year to you and your family!🎉🎉
Will you be buying and reviewing any HMT's soon?

What other under 500$ solution do you recommend for 4 watches?
Really nice channel. I became a fan of the vostok amphibia because of your videos and I am planning to buy it in the future.

They do not get out of wack. The next rotation they go back to the original position even if you rotate 90 degrees, it goes back to vertical at rest.
They use a Japanese motor fyi.

Hey mate! Citizen up next week! Thanks for the kind words.

BLASPHEMY!! BURN THE WITCH! 😂😝
Agree.....if you have that many mechanical watches that you need an auto winder, you’re either an octopus or..........OCD.

@@albertodelafuente6072 I am now down to 3, all quartz. 2 digital, 1 diver. The daily wear by far is Casio GW-M5610.

Thanks for the reply back. I live in Canada so no discount for me :/
Did you review the ticino sea viper?

Also they are really quite.
Im not too happy about the durability of the Boxy. The once I had, lasted no longer than 2 year (and shorter)

Watch winders are useless, I've put my speedy in it many times and after a few days it stops.
I don't think they use japanese motors..
Me neither Gulshan!
Sid James....nice. :-)
They won't fit a seiko diver with a rubber strap. The friction burns out motor. 2/10.
Watch winders. The worst thing for a watch :(
+UXXV not good for your posh stuff Rikki!
LOL! Any auto fella :) And a happy new year from soggy Scotland!
