That ending though. LOL
I have a two watch winder, I like it as it’s a nice display case, and as I rotate my watches on my wrist so it saves having to manually wind them.
Im sorry i only caught the last 30 seconds of this video ... so as a professional, you whole heartedly agree that a watch winder is an absolute necessity ? I knew it ! 😉🍻
I like a watch winder because I wear different watches every day and don't want to reset the complications.
I put my quartz and manual winds on the ferris wheel winder just so they don't feel like they are missing out on the ride 🎡😢
You did not know, that spinning quartz watches extends battery life?
Can you do a similar ending for buying a Lange? It might help convince someone for me haha.
The last 30 seconds had me chuckling 😂
Thank you very much for clarifying the use or need of a watch winder. Much appreciated.
Thank you, I have been thinking about a watch winder for a while. You have saved me the money .
Outstanding!! Winders do look great. I have few automatics and I know that I really don't need winder but still..
Loved this guy... u my mate are awesome
I use a watch winder for my GMT and my wife's DJ31 as they both only receive about 8-16 hours wear per week and it saves me having to reset UK time/date and New York time on my GMT. I have other rolex watches in my collection which get rarely worn and rather than wind them I put them in the winder every 2 months. My daily wear is a DJ41 and it doesn't need the watch winder.
The reason I invested in a winder was I was concerned about the wear on my watches from reseting time and date.
I would love or hear your opinion.
I primarily wear 2 automatics. One Mon-Fri to the office, and my diver which I wear on the weekends. The winder has saved me a lot of time, not having to reset the time on a regular basis.
My Invicta Pro Divers with date complication LOVE their continuous JOY RIDE on their WATCH CAROUSEL! Can you hear them screaming "YEAH!" happily? Meanwhile my Tandorio Flieger is always on my wrist, and the Tandorio homage of the MoD W10 Hamilton/CWC tonneau is another Sunday piece, that occupies the 3rd seat on the carousel, so it stays balanced.
All have an NH35A ticking away inside.
My recent experience (fwiw): I have Sinn 556 (automatic) with "top" sellita calbire SW200-1 (but not certified by COSC). I'd wear my Sinn everyday, and put it on the shelf overnight after a gentle manual wind. It ran pretty good, slow 1 or 2 sec per day, and day to day variance of about 0.5 sec, within COSC standards. Past 2 weeks, I left it on winder but did check its accuracy every evening. While continually on the winder it's been running +/- 0.25 sec / day with variance of < 0.1 sec /day. My winder is Orbita Sparta1. PS I have an older Orbita at least 10 years old where I keep another automatic watch, and both that watch and Orbita run great. Both watches have date complications and it's convenient to use the winder in order to have the date always correct except for the months with 30 days (& Feb). Is a winder necessary, no IMO, but I like using a winder.
great that you cleared this topic. bedankt
Thanks for the info, I love the ending!
Thanks for this video, it's very useful. 👍
Love the logic!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
great ending!
Maybe in a next stream, can you show a collection of watches that passes the workshop? Or maybe a wristwatch check before the stream 😎😅
Also for automatic watchmakers without the possibility of manual winding
Hi Kelle and all on site caught you live for once

Thank you for the ending - I now have two , 4 watch , watch winders in my Study because my wife loves me and watched the part 2 ending of this video - If we ever meet I will get you a nice beer... Brilliant....
I should have explained that I like collecting Ingersoll Automatic Watches and most have a lot of complications on them .. 😀
I would wear the automatic on my own wrist, sometimes I had a few up my arm to test them.
honestly lol.. I'd just get it to showcase my watches in a cool way
My question would rather be is it better for the watch to put it into a watchwinder or to wind it per hand?
There are quite the number of people around that claim handwinding an automatic watch would damage it over time.
Correct again . Master. It depends. Of how many automatic watches you have. The technique you should know the max time of the watch moved without winding ... ❤😂
True class, he didn't even put a buy it here link. :-)
I have one for my watch, which is a perpetual calendar
I was going to buy one until watching this video. I have a 7 day a week watch, a once or twice a year watch, and a special occasion watch. The occasional watch is just a date/day/time watch. The once/twice a year is just time. Maybe when I have a fancy watch, then I will get one
if you have modern synthetic oils in the watch then only a winder is useful if you swap watches regularly and you wont need to keep setting time, date for the stopped watches
Very useful video, very illustrative, but didn't understand your last argument in favor of watch winders...
They are just fun and look cool, that’s all Lorenzo ;0)
The alternative ending my wife's going "what's a watch winder??? " my watch box has 3 of them and she's never noticed 😂
I have a triple-date Omega Speedy that's been mostly sitting for the past 15 years or so... don't know if I should even touch it or service first. What are the good oils nowdays?
I use the watch carrousel winder for 24 hrs after repair's and use a seiko kinetic for my 6 kinetics monthly to keep the battery's up.
Watch winders don't work on Kinetic watches, but, a tumble drier on a cool temperature setting will charge the capacitor if the watch is wrapped in a thick work sock and is given about a 30 minute ride. Simple!
The best watch winder is called the Thumb-N-Fingers. 😋
But what about the need to have to always be resetting the date and time of watches that aren't used for days or weeks? Might that be considered to adding to the wear and tear of the movement?
i would be more worried about adding more wear and tear to the crown and the surrounding area by constantly using your nail to pull out and set the time
Well, you can rationalize all you want about spending money on a convenience by thinking the momentary manual time and date adjustment is somehow just as bad as having everything running 24/7. It's not true, but if lying to yourself makes you feel better, spend away.
I use winders so I don’t have to set my watches every time I wear them. I only Use them for a short time every day
Brilliant 😂
I also leave my car running 24/7 in the garage…………
Interesting stuff Kalle. You get a lot of presents You earn it!
HAHAHAHHAHAHA THANKS FOR THE ENDING IT WORRKEEDD👌👌👌😂😂
Dear Chronoglide, do you agree with the argument that a watchwinder puts significant wear and tear on a movement? Or is it not worth worrying about that?
I am going to be one
😂 great video.
If I've got a watch in rotation that doesn't have a quick date, I use my one winder. Other than that, I let them run down. But no, I don't neeeeed a winder.
I like re setting my day date etc 🤣🤣🤣
How and where can someone learn watch repair ?
There are watchmaking schools, but you can just start. Hope my video's are helpful.
Now he's got me really confused I don't know what I watched whether he likes them or he doesn't like them.....😳😳😳
There is no need, they just look cool 😎
@@ChronoglideWatchmaking that slogon can be applied to 90% of products in the world now 😅
@@DS-um9hi ... Beautiful remark‼️®™️☑️☑️
Isn’t this why you just buy….quartz???
Do you want a cool thing that spins watches around if they're useful or not? YES
Do you want a watch winder for your vertical clutch chronos? NO they will break anyway, throw them out.
😂😂😂
Thanks, I'll cut the last 30 sec and send it to my girlfriend 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Your nose will grow.
