    Insane collection. More so than the actual guitars, it is the history and historical significance of these guitars that interest me in this collection. When these guitars came out, they were game changers. The electric guitar isn't that old. ..and when you think about it...other than the period when these guitars and the locking trem was introduced, not much has really changed about the elecric guitar. We still use wound, magnetic pickups... We still use the same wiring.. We still use the same cords... We still use vacuum tubes in our amps. Teh changes that these guitar introduced are some of the only major innovations that guitar players actually accepted and embraced. So yeah, there is a lot of historical significance to this collection. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

    I got a Dinky Jackson guitar that I set aside in my garage and totally forgot about it. It has 2 Seymour Duncan pickups, floyd rose, bolt on, 22 frets, ebony, s/n 002511, made in Ontario California USA. I've searched at jackson site and all it says manufactured in 1995. It has one solid body, not two glued in piece that most expensive guitars now have. I wonder if you can tell me more info in this guitar. It seems to me this is the only 22 frets, 2 humbuckers and Floyd rose combination in their catalog. I think I paid 500 to 600 dollars at guitar center.

    People who dont play can never understand the way a beautiful guitar can make u feel. It feels so good to pick it up and feel the weight of it.. to put your fingers on the strings and feel the tension. I could go on and on.. most of them even smell good. Acoustic guitars smell beautiful. The first thing I do is smell the inside of an acoustic guitar... and the feel of the neck .. they all have a different feel and tone.. there even fun to stare at. There purposely shaped like a womans sexy body. A guitar has hips like a woman even.. guitar s are just so beautiful.. and that's before u actually hear it..

    I wonder if Randy Rhoads would of used a Kahler tremolo bridge. He used a standard trem on his Sandoval Poka Dot V guitar and his Jackson Concorde. I wonder if he would of used Kahler Tremolos if he were still alive playing on newer guitars he’d get. Kahler tremolo bridge is a fixed bridge. Some think it’s floating trem I’m like “noooope” “ it’s a fixed bridge man” I own a couple Kahler tremolo guitars. I own 26 guitars in total. A shit ton of gear too. Over the years. I also have a Kahler tremolo still in the box. I work on my own guitars too, and I build them in my shop behind my home.

    Speaking on the Kramer Floyd Rose license, it was possible to get a floyd rose equipped jackson/charvel, but you had to supply the bridge and locknut. Not cheap, considering a full floyd kit was $300 in 1984, real close to $1000 in today's money.

    • @scottdunn2178
      @scottdunn2178 4 года назад +1

      Indeed. And if Kramer knew you were having the Floyd Rose they were selling you on a Jackson... they would cancel your order and refuse to sell you one. It's one of the reasons Floyd Rose licensed his patent, and ultimately the downfall of Kramer Guitars.

    • @maxmustardman298
      @maxmustardman298 2 года назад

      Didnt even know floyd sold kits, thought they were exclusively supplied to kramer. But then again there were lots of guitars who had a floyd by that time that had nothing to do with kramer. Edit, floyd allowed others to use floyd knock offs by 87 or so. Kramer branded theirs OFR at that point. Interesting puece of history.

      Randy came up with the offset V design after flying from London to NYC on the Concord, he roughly drew it on a napkin, and he and Grover Jackson refined the design... with Grover primarily designing the headstock.
