An xray also wouldn't show anything as it is not a hard substance that will show up. Best thing to do with the mouth is to let it come out naturally if possible as the body is very interesting on how it responds to these foreign objects and the removal of them. I had a hollow tooth that broke and I'm still spitting tooth fragments from that and bits that broke when I got a implant tooth. It's been about 6 years since I broke my tooth and 5 years since the surgery.

Yes it’s true. I have popcorn husk stuck underneath my gum. I tried to take it out multiple methods and no luck getting it out. For two weeks I felt really irritated and my gum was swollen for the first week but then I feel normal the week after. Then 3 weeks later I literally saw it got push out and I felt the sense of relief.
I mean, it was most likely the ibuprofen which reduced the swelling along with the rinses that allowed it to work its way out. Ibuprofen literally reduces swelling and inflammation which would have made it easier for the seed to come out.

I think like 3 to 4 days later, I pushed the piece of toothpick out of my foot. If you think you got something in your body, trust yourself and hope for the best. I’m glad the situation wasn’t worse.

Maybe just like how skin is not visible on the X-rays, the marigold was not either? That’s just my guess, but bone and teeth are the only things you generally see on dental X-rays.
X-ray are basically EM waves which are absorbed by the bones and can easily pass through the blood and ligaments so that it doesn't show on the x-ray. That's why we can see cavities and fractures through x-rays. Therefore, the EM waves weren't absorbed by the marigold and just passed through so they weren't able to see it on the X-ray.

I remember this. I last heard of it when she came back form the oral surgeon who told her it was just trauma but that it wasn't really lodged inside her cheek. I forgot to check back but just like her I really wanted to believe it was just the trauma. Turns out it really was in there. Her gut instinct was right. It really reminds you to trust yourself and if you get gaslit by medical providers to get a second opinion and a third or fourth if needed.
Doctors don’t know what’s going on, my dad had a few strokes so he was taken to the hospital, they were gonna inject him with a blood thinner but needed an approval and my brother denied that because if he had any bleeding he’d pass, CAT scan etc for 3 days to be discharged with no conclusion to the reason he had strokes, a few weeks later he goes to the dentist for his routine checkup just to realize he had an abscess and the cause of those strokes…all in all the hospital bill was 40K, and they couldn’t figure shit out

Maybe just like how skin is not visible on the X-rays, the marigold was not either? That’s just my guess, but bone and teeth are the only things you generally see on dental X-rays.
X-ray are basically EM waves which are absorbed by the bones and can easily pass through the blood and ligaments so that it doesn't show on the x-ray. That's why we can see cavities and fractures through x-rays. Therefore, the EM waves weren't absorbed by the marigold and just passed through so they weren't able to see it on the X-ray.

I went to the ER twice in 24 hours because I felt a pain then my body acted up. The first visit said I pulled groin muscle when I have a history of Ovarian cysts. They didn't do imaging. Went in again hours later at another location and found I have a large ovarian cyst.

I remember this. I last heard of it when she came back form the oral surgeon who told her it was just trauma but that it wasn't really lodged inside her cheek. I forgot to check back but just like her I really wanted to believe it was just the trauma. Turns out it really was in there. Her gut instinct was right. It really reminds you to trust yourself and if you get gaslit by medical providers to get a second opinion and a third or fourth if needed.
Doctors don’t know what’s going on, my dad had a few strokes so he was taken to the hospital, they were gonna inject him with a blood thinner but needed an approval and my brother denied that because if he had any bleeding he’d pass, CAT scan etc for 3 days to be discharged with no conclusion to the reason he had strokes, a few weeks later he goes to the dentist for his routine checkup just to realize he had an abscess and the cause of those strokes…all in all the hospital bill was 40K, and they couldn’t figure shit out

It’s basically like getting a splinter on your finger your finger. It swells and hurts for the first few days, and then the body naturally pushes it out.
I had a sliver of a pumpkin seed stuck in one of my tonsils for a week when I was a kid. No one cared, but it started getting really painful and I started becoming afraid to eat. One day I finally decided I really wanted a piece of tafy even though I knew it would hurt to swallow. But it pulled the seed out on its way down! I was so happy. It was instant relief in more than one way
The same thing happens with cancer the symptoms are all there but the doctor tells u its nothing but the person knows that some thing is wrong with his body.
I hate how doctors and dentist don’t believe their patients like this is what we pay you for. SMH. 🤦🏼♀️
