This is pretty much my two front teeth. I fell on a bike and land d on my face as a kid. Probably a month after having my baby teeth fall out and having my new teeth grow in.
Than I had some type of plasti material to fill in the chipped parts followed by root calens followed by braces.
They look healthy and I'm happy with my smile but they wiggle a lot and my dentist said I pretty much don't have roots
I'm only 30 but I mostly just eat soup now lol

@@Bee-tj8gc I'm asking assuming root calens was a root canal. if you fell and they chipped, wouldn't they just put a crown or veneers or something on the tooth? the plasti material was probs a temporary filling- which I guess was necessary, but a root canal? then braces? Why? the tooth shouldn't be dead. I have an upper molar that's like 60-70% permanent dental filling and the dentist managed to save it without a root canal despite me not going to the dentist to have the tooth pain dealt with for more than a month.

Been trying to lay off the soda and move toward water, because I know soda is extremely corrosive to the teeth. I’ve also done everything in my power to brush and floss before bed, and avoid missing even a single night. I really don’t want remnants of what I ate throughout the day to sit on my teeth all night long as I sleep.

I also hated have loose teeth and would just let the tooth stay in as long as possible an just eat on the other side of my mouth which once you’ve been doing that for years tarter builds up. I don’t really know how to explain what I’m trying to say but basically sometimes stuff can happen and people can just neglect their teeth and then before you know it your teeth are covered in tartar, most of the time people feel embarrassed about it and feel bad that they have neglected their teeth, I rarely even smile anymore because I’m so embarrassed about my teeth

So pretty much as a medical professional any and every patient that came to you for help you just said no can't do it you repulse me? Would you at least look at somebody if they had a sprained wrist? Or would you be repulsed if they weren't wearing a Rolex or something of equal value?

Gross, I couldn’t work in long term care or be a dentist or podiatrist, a lot of people don’t take care of themselves so I don’t want to be around them but respect to the ones that do and to caregivers who have to deal with dying people and dementia patients who may not have control over their bowels and things like that

@osmosis 01 Thankfully, I was blessed to have co-workers. We all had our "things" and I think it's fairly common across the board. I'd simply trade one of my coworkers for one of their patients that I could handle more professionally. In the rare occasion that was not an option, I'd complete my job as required. To start my rebuttal, I worked in pediatrics, ob/gyn, and family medicine. In those practices, I didn't see many issues with teeth. Working in long-term care facilities, I unfortunately did. I scrubbed my fair share of disgusting dentures that were left behind by the previous shift. I did the best I could to brush the remaining teeth that my dementia patients had. In the early 2000s, when I held down that job, dental care in long-term care was slim to none or left solely to the family/guardian to obtain on their own. I hope it has improved by this point, but I bet it is still mismanaged for patients who don't have an advocate. It was family/adult medicine where I discovered I could feel the pain of every toe nail/finger nail removal. Just by observing with my eyeballs. It doesn't make me nauseous, I can literally remember the pain of ripping off a finger nail in my early 20s and no matter how many times we removed nails I would always feel it, like nails on a chalkboard. Even though it usually brought the patient immediate pain relief, ex; ingrown toe nails are obscenely painful, and typically, the patient was in significantly less pain by the time we were done. There were also accidents where patients would come in with a bloody nail hanging on by God knows what, and God knows why... off it would have to come. Just thinking about an injection of lidocaine underneath a toe nail still gives me the pain feeling. Finally, feet. I have never liked feet. I'm not sure if it stems from my general dislike of the look of my own feet and has morphed into this or when it began. I'm not sure if it's a hygiene issue, but watching flakes of dead skin float on the air as we would work on feet was enough for me. With all the facets of health care, if these are my only three "nopes" I think I'm doing fairly well for someone who now holds the title of Bar Wench. JS. I wouldn't hesitate to give you or anyone else lifesaving care if the situation were to arise, but it's unlikely that a tooth, foot, or nail would prove to be a true emergency.

@Sandy FerBron I have had patients with open globe injuries and globe luxations. Thankfully, those types of injuries are sent to a specialist asap. So, I haven't been around to see much more than the arrival and initial assessment. I did take my grandma to get injections in her eyes for macular degeneration. She made it look like a breeze, but she was never scared of anything to begin with. Lasik and cataract removals would likely give me the heebie-jeebies, though.
