"Why not?" can be an alternative for "Yes".
For example:
A: Would you like to drink something?
B: Why not?
I think 'I would love to' can also be an alternative to "Yes".
A:Would you like to drink something?
B:I would love to .
A:Can we go for a dinner tonight?
B:Yeah, I would love to.
2 1
Why not also ok because it’s like rhetorical question

"Avoid repeating . . . " Much better than: "Don't say . . . " "Stop saying . . . " etc. Now you have my "Like"!
I see your point, but radical statements, especially in the thumbnails, sound more powerful and attractive. Sadly, it's all about the lowest common denominator nowadays.
Lucy you're the best teacher of English on RUclips and I fell in love with your beautiful British accent I wish I could speak like you. Love you from Algeria

For yes, we Americans (USA) also sometimes say, definitely and, especially in the military, affirmative. Conversely, we sometimes say, negative (usually in the military) for no. Also, for yes, absolutely!

Hello Lucy! I'm from Argentina and a very common way to say "yes" is "De una". You know a lot of Spanish so I'll give you and example in Spanish for ya:
-Querés tomar un helado?
-De una
(We use "querés" instead of "quieres", which is used in Spain).
We use "De una" to express agreement too. Is another common meaning.
Great video!! We are waiting for you over here.
Thank you for nice teaching.

What is interesting for me is that you use "Nah" for things u dont like or believe in, whereas in Persian "Nah" simply means "No" and we use it the most among other alternatives (like 100 times a day ;) ). Thanks Lucy for your extremely useful videoes.
