He's a great man. He's from eastern KY. When the floods went through his town this year, he showed up. Just went in like he wasn't Chris Stapleton and started carrying out wet, muddy furniture. Didn't want to be noticed, just wanted to help.
Hands down my favorite Chris Stapleton song he doesn't blow it out of the water vocally like other songs but just everything about it is so powerful and your reaction is amazing I've seen other reactions and people don't even understand even though the song is called death row what he's talking about shake my head😂😂❤
Whatever I hear his message to his mother and 'baby' (I thought it could've been his daughter), it gives me chills! Such a short powerful song. The beat is hitting like seconds ticking away on a clock. One of my favorites by Stapleton.
I love how even the musical part gives action sounds of the visual story he just sang. It's like when the day of execution comes and he's walking that "last mile". The guitar and drums is imitating the sound of him walking and time is counting down. That's artistry when you can not only get a story told but can feel the senses of emotion, see a visual, and hear action sounds in a song. Chris is a pure musical genius hands down!!!
This is one of my favorites by him!!! I just wish it got more recognition like his other songs! When I listen I swear I can see an old southern prison chain gang being led......
A dark song for sure, but I always thought this was CS at his best in making his listeners feel the pain intentended. The man has it all, the lyrics, the guitar, and the vocals........HE HAS IT ALL! Those lyrics connect straight away, right to the heart. He doesn't connect half way thru the song or a third of the way thru the song, CS connects right up front. He will grab you with the first verse and he does not let go until he is finished with you. Was lucky enough to see him live in Virginia Beach, he played a 20-song set with two encores. He is the real deal! Great reaction,TY.
Love the guitar and bass in beginning! Exactly my thought...sounds like I've heard this song in a movie! Them vocals are "HiiiiiiIIIIIgh" that gravel & high note! Love!
The emphasis on the word "time" just adds to the artistic value of the song. I imagine time on deathrow for most is torcher. Don't want to sleep cause you want to use the time to reflect or whatever you need to do. Counting time till it's time.
I’m new to Stapleton too. Amazing! I loved your reaction to Blow. I was really surprised with his rock side. Was blown away. But how can you go wrong with a combination of Stapleton, Sheehan, & Bruno. 🔥🔥
If you want to really go down the Stapleton rabbit hole, you should check out his first project with The Steeledrivers. It was before he blew up and it’s a bit more bluegrass but there is some amazing music out there. My favorites right now are “Where Rainbows Never Die” and “Heaven Sent”
Try these. Chris Stapleton - Daddy doesn't Pray anymore, Either Way, Millionaire, What are you Listening To. Elvis - In the Ghetto. Johnny Cash - Hurt. Joey+Rory - When I'm Gone. She wrote this when she had terminal cancer. That is her husband, in the video.

Please follow the suggested list. 1. Beth Hart - Caught Out In The Rain - Live at the Royal Albert Hall. 2. Beth Hart - A Change Is Gonna Come - Live at Echoplex. 3. Beth Hart - Am I The One - Live at Paradiso. ( You Should Now Be Ready For Beth and Joe ) 4. Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa - I'll Take Care Of You - Live at Amsterdam. 5. Beth Hart and Joe Bonamssa - I'd Rather Go Blind - Live at Amsterdam. And if you are still with us. 6. Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa - I Love You More Then You Will Ever Know - Live at Amsterdam. Bring your rag.... and maybe a couple spare shoes to throw. LOL.
This man has me a true believer in genetic memory, and considering the possibility of reincarnation. If anyone has been here before, from the same region, it’s him. He sings with the pain of a Great Depression sharecropper.
I'd say do me a favor but it's better phrased as do yourself a favor listen to it again alone and the beginning those first screeches you hear those are iron hinges of prison doors opening and closing and once you get that sound scraping along your bones and you hear the rest it's just beautifully eerie!!!
Hi I mean this as an amazing compliment. You remind me Of my Bae the real Anthony Hamilton.😂😂 Honestly I think you look more Like his son then His own Son.😂 Can you sing like him
This is close to to this best shit. Some advice, don’t do what everyone else did. Cuz then you can’t look in the mirror and be proud. I’m about done with fake RUclips crap, everyone listening to each artist’s most average songs, but I’ll stick here for doing something different
Sorry, but I think that The Masked Singer is a bunch of BS. You can't tell me that people that hardly sing publicly can beat out Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, or Chaka Khan. BS!!!

Now I know Chris can sing anything but I absolutely love the bluesy Chris. This man is such a gift given at just the right time. Thank you Jesus!

The pacing reminds me of how slowly time must pass when you’re waiting on Death Row.
Wow that's a good description

The end made me think about the long walk to the death chamber for prisoners. 💜
Right!!
OMG!! I don’t think I have ever heard this!!

Hurt is a great song. Johnny Cash does the cover of it from Nine Inch Nails.
Check out "When a man loves a woman" by Home Free. You won't believe the vocals!

The only thing better than the song, is the lyrics themselves!!!! All facts. SELAH.
Listen to
“Either Way”
If you haven’t yet, I Was Wrong Live from Austin City Limits is Fantastic….

Simple but Deep ass lyrics ...
Right!!
Walking to Death Row.
❤❤I PICKED PATTY RIGHT OFF TOO!!!
The music you're playing is clipping/distorting and the bass seems to be boosted as well, to the point it's crunching, resulting in more distortion.

Anthony Hamilton has a unique sound 🤣 so no but thank you for the compliments
By the way it was not the grammys it was the Country music awards that he sang court❤😂
