Happened across your channel. Really good footage but for me it was spoiled by the music. IMO the best music is the sound of the sea. Like I say great filming. Hope it was a nice trip. Warren
Thank you for your feedback. The videos so far were taken with my phone and have a terrible sound quality. The wind noise in the videos was so poor, with a crackle caused by the wind that drowns out anything else. So there was not much option than to turn the original sound off and have music instead. I have now migrated to a different camera with a housing which has far better sound quality. So the next videos will have more footage with the original sounds of boat and ocean. However, whilst improved, the issue with sound quality is not fully resolved yet and so there will still be the need for some music.
Thanks Christopher I will let you know in regard to crewing but it is unlikely at the moment. I am not really into SAGS, and I am just preparing for a bit of a longer trip. Cheers
She is 32 foot, although bowsprit and boomkin add a bit, especially the ability to carry more sail area. I just have the usual problems sailing solo; always one hand short, the rope always jamming at the other end of the boat and two things that need doing at the same time… I use the wind vane most of the time when underway and I now also have a tiller pilot which is used for most harbour and sail hoisting manoeuvres. It has made solo sailing a lot easier and taking a lot of stress out of manoeuvres, especially in traffic or close quarters. I generally try to plan ahead and give myself not just enough time for the manoeuvre but also for the expected such as a jam in a rope, missing winch handle, etc. But I very much enjoy the complete solitude of solo sailing.
I wish. Glad you like the music but that is not me. The fingerpicking guitar is by Doctor Turtle and called Over the Water, Humans Gather. I give credit at the very end of the video. Cheers,
Hi Tom, thanks for your feedback. Happy you like the videos. I have been a bit reserved to talk about sailing because there are a lot of people out there who are a lot more qualified than I am. I just fumble my way through and learn as I go. However, I would be happy to include a few more narratives about what is going on at the time.
i wish the weather was this beautiful for you , right now . god bless you A.N.S.A.C.S...

Nice one! Let me know if you are happy to accept crew, I’d be interested to see how she sails. I’m happy to crew for SAGS out of WMYC
Thanks Christopher

@@littlewing.ws32 no worries!
With the wind noise, don't forget to throw on a hairy cat on the mic to help reduce the noise.
I have got a foam housing around the camera which seems to help some. Not perfect, but better.
Super. Thank you. Do you have any difficulties handling a 38ft boat single handed?

Probably been asked before, but did you make this (perfect) music. or...?
