Tomorrow I get may 701 Enduro. 22. Just watching your videos. Funny thing. You did all the stuff that I want to do. Thank you very much for giving me experience. I think I will take the handy with me into the garage if I got stuck with a problem. What tablet are you using? I have a Lenovo Tab M 8 with Osmand. Did you try the Carpe Iter Controller? I wonder how its working. Best regards from Germany
Hello! Thank you for interacting and I wish all the best with the new bike! I am happy I could offer some inspiration and hopefully also some help in your project. I have the Carpe Iter controller and I would say it’s ok but not perfect. I have used a Galaxy active tab 3 and a ram mount with charging. The charging stopped working very quickly and after that it just messed up the screen orientation in the topo app I am using for the navigation. I solved that by taping over the pogo (charging) pins in the ram mount and dremeled a cutout to enable regular usb charging. This worked well. I try to read and answer all ”sensible” comments so don’t hesitate to ask more questions if needed! Good luck! ::Carl
I got mine from here: www.autokatalogen.se/afw/malmo/view_article_info.do?articleIdNo=160514&nodeIdNo=1665728 It’s not super easy to find but any solution for splitting the negative cable into many would do.
Thank you. It’s a Samsung Galaxy Active 3. Not quite sure which power connection you are referring to but someone recently pointed out to me that the ram mount pins for the built-in charging of the tablet is sensitive to water. This is something I have to take a look at. Other than that I do not expect any mechanical issues. Not quite sure I understand the question.
@@adventureridersweden5981 yes, I am concerned about the reliability / robustness of the electrical connection between holder and tablet itself. I would rather shoot for a device which can navigate for 12 hrs without charging and then charge during the night (via powerbank)
@@mhn.overlander2798 The holder is really sturdy mechanically so I have no concerns there. You can actually get a RAM mount holder without the charging if you wish. Other than that I would recommend that you take a look at the Carpe Iter pad. It is built for the purpose and has an excellent reputation. Unfortunately it also has a price tag to match it.
@@adventureridersweden5981 I have had this set up, with Galaxy and RAM Mount holder. And I had big problems with the pin charge. Therefore, I have chosen a different solution.
Jag fick ju för mig att starta företag så det har slukat en hel del tid. Har gjort en kortare resa, men inte haft tid att fixa videomaterialet, plus att det regnade KONSTANT :) Det blir en resa på riktigt, frågan är mer NÄR.
Yes, it’s a Ram Mount tablet holder with built-in charging and that holder is attached directly to the garmin bracket supplied with the Rade Garage fairing.
Salut, Great video, that's what I need. Many thanks. But 1 question: Since the fitting, how is it going? That fuse box is not waterproof. Any issues with the rain, the jet wash, etc...?
Hello! Thanks! So far I have had zero issues with it! Of course I don’t push my luck by pressure washing it but I have had heavy rain fall without issues.
Great install I’m going to try to do something similar but with no tower 👍👍🎉
Enjoy your project and good luck!

Thanks for your video..
Could you share where I can buy the negative 8 outlets or crimps connector??

Hi, really good instruction video. Thank you. Where can I get this “flower shaped” connectore? What brand is it? Can’t find it on the internet.
Hello! Thank you! Sorry for my late response. www.autokatalogen.se/afw/malmo/view_article_info.do?articleIdNo=160514&nodeIdNo=1665728
