Jim Have you done a video of the Scaleauto F1 I found that car very loose in the back compare to the NSR and the Scaleauto gear not so good as the NSR gears when change to NSR gears the car was more smooth but still loose in the back any suggestions.

Thanks a lot for your video. We've had the NSR 917 and GT40 for a while; they run butter smooth out of the box on our home Scalextric [Jadlam SL5 type] layout. We recently got the NSR Formula. Very scratchy out of the box and wants to high side when you come off the throttle. Night and day different to the 917/GT40. I'll try what you suggest and take it from there. We've also got the NSR Mosler; again out of the box nowhere near as quick as the 917/GT40. We use D2 V2 hand controllers.

Hi Jim, I see you left the magnet in which probably explains why you don't put ballast up front.

Great, helpful video and excellent paint job! Would these be too much for a fairly compact home circuit with plastic track? Something like Catalunya on a 12x5 ft layout.

Kinda need room for the extra power these things make. My tight home track the fast lap times are carrera cars.If I set the ride heidth like this video shows, the carrera track doesnt really like it. Not with banking and ups and down.
The driver makes a HUGE difference.

Hi Jim, Looking for a NSR F1 v Policar Modern F1 comparison, any ideas.

I don't have a Policar. They are not comparable in performance. The NSR is much smaller and quicker. The Policar are really nice, but need to be raced against each other. Either would make a great spec class or racing.

@@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 thank you for the reply and I guess your probably right, but that's not the way we race here, we have always raced everything F1 against everything F1, that won't change and to that point we will at some time be able to say if NSR can race against Policar with any degree of satisfaction one way or the other.

@@norcalslotcarsceneandvinta3518 sad ... NSR is also selling the same single F1 body with different decals and color ... no chance of the mc larens (senna prost, berger) to at least make yourself other then from scratch
