I think she was a very classy lady in all what she did. I recently got a book about her dresser of many years: The Other side of the Coin. Most interesting and really clean and loving. I agree with you Nancy, she was a stylish lady all her life. TFS
Love all your tips. I, personally, will be keeping my furs in my wardrobe. I already own them...each one has memories attached and I love wearing them.
Me, too. Where I live you do not want to look like you're always on your way to ski. My fur hats, cowels, headbands and hoods are warm, reliable and last forever with little care. Like you, they all hold memories....hand me downs from my mother, gifts from my late husband...
OK, I am having a dreadful problem since watching all of you videos... I was a hugh LP fan for many years, then tapered off a few yrs ago and went the more basic color route, in terms of my clothing choices..... Now, since watching you and how lovely you wear the LP styles, I tend to buy so many things I see you wearing! The Queen was a standard bearer in so many ways, but you Nancy are my Queen inspiration. ! (Pun intended.) TY for another winner of a video.
Hi. I so need help. I’ve just discovered you! I’ve watched several months of your videos and might now call my closets style mixed and mid-matched, I’ll fitting, and pretty pitiful! I know. It’s bad! But here’s the thing, I used to study styles and trends. As a pro interior designer for 35 years, I always kept updated and styled. I retired, and changed my life focus, slowed down, and remarried. I wore a size six thru most of my 40’s, and still felt ok in size 10 and 12, into my early 50’s. But now I’ve just hit 70, and have lymphedema in my legs so they are huge and wrapped in a heavy diving suit material and Velcro to create pressure to control swelling. All the other effects of aging are also growing so I am limited to indoor exercising, but I still love to shop. Just walking around the mall is fun. Watching people and keeping up with things. So now i’m looking at 70, 250+ lbs, stretchy pants and sketchers. I know. It’s quite a dip in style. So im feeling better, been diagnosed correctly, and doing all I can to up my outlook. Fashion, however, escapes me. Help. How can I come close to stylish at this size? It’s unlikely I’ll loose more than 20 lbs, ever, so need to do something. Skirts and long blouses and tunics? Im 5’7”, but don’t have a waist anymore. Do a video on fashion at 70 - typ and plus. Please. Before I obsess on my thinning white hair! Thanks much. R. 😅
Hi Ruth, Thank you so much for sharing your fashion dilemmas! Count your blessings on every white hair on your head. Your health has been through so much so give yourself some grace. As for fashion, it sounds like you are currently carrying your weight through your waist, hips, and thighs - so focus on drawing the eye upwards. Wear blouses, tops, and jackets with puffy sleeves, structured shoulders, and ruffles. 😍
