Just to give you an idea of what kind of impact this song had when released: It won the Grammy for Song of the Year and Record of the Year in 1980. It was huge. Ride Like The Wind and Arthur's Theme are both excellent as well.
The original album is green, his name above a nice circle in the middle and in it is a pink Flamingo... His follow up hits are a great vibe as well.... In ‘79 I was 15 years old and sent away to live with a relative. There were no other kids in my new neighborhood, no cable TV, it was like being in solitary confinement everyday. All I had was my collection of vinyl…and maybe a little pot. This track on that album was my psychological escape.

Just to give you an idea of what kind of impact this song had when released: It won the Grammy for Song of the Year and Record of the Year in 1980. It was huge. Ride Like The Wind and Arthur's Theme are both excellent as well.

In ‘79 I was 15 years old and sent away to live with a relative. There were no other kids in my new neighborhood, no cable TV, it was like being in solitary confinement everyday. All I had was my collection of vinyl…and maybe a little pot. This track on that album was my psychological escape.
