    Fantastic. Just a quick safety note for viewers. Be careful that there is no moisture what so ever in the mold before pouring the metal, the heat will turn it to steam which can fling the molten metal out of the mold. 😱

    • @loop78
      @loop78 5 лет назад +6

      Perhaps another function of the baby powder!

    • @lordmaddrox
      @lordmaddrox 2 года назад +3

      @@loop78 even tho that would soak up the moisture it could stick to mold instead of fall off , unless that powder is removed it will still hold moisture that will react to the metal so it would be still advised to make sure its as dry as possible before the pour.
      In a bag or container with rice and silica packets are a nice way to draw that moisture out over night is what i do to help make sure for those situations

    Hello. I'm an artist who uses molds to make jewelry and you just described exactly my process 😂. Except I didn't know that petroleum jelly could be used as a mold release! Thank you so much for the tip.
    One thing finicky about mold max 60 is that the amount of A and B must be exact. I once added 2 grams more of B and my cure time increased from 1 day to 2 😂. Ahhh making mistakes is the best way to learn.
    Anyways thank you for your wonderful video! It made me giggle 🙂

    I like crafts, but rarely make anything ‘decorative’. But I like to learn new techniques because you never know when it might be used in another way. And, of course, if you are doing something for someone, and they WANT decorative, then decorative becomes utilitarian.
    And lastly, watching you, Mr. Crafsman, makes me relax. Certainly will lower anyone’s blood pressure.

    I enjoy your videos had started pewter casting because of you. (Have made an antique key and a tiny birthday candle holder) Thanks for that! One thing I do for my small mold boxes is to use shipping tape (the wider clear stuff) to line the interior of the box after I have cut 3 corners vertically. With the interior of the mold box lined with tape, flipping down the two sides and removing the mold/clay is very easy because of the shipping tape layer. Thanks again, CrafsMan, for your informative videos!

    Honey, keep doing what you do best, bringing the know how to the world with that wonderful sense of humor and kindness with the heaping side of love at the end. Know that you've brought your share of smiles to faces with each new view, and I'm glad RUclips put your videos in my "you might like" feed. You're a rare soul, I hope you're around for many years to come.

    I laughed out loud when you said a Pee Can is something you leave by your bed at night when it is too cold to go outside. My husband and I live way out in the boonies and we use a composting toilet, (aka sawdust bucket) so we know all about those kinds of "pecans"! Nice to know we aren't the only ones. I just love your videos - keep up the wonderful work that makes us smile. :)

      @@blewprent If you have ever lived out in the country where plumbing is ... let's just say "less than optimal" ... you would quickly learn how much more convenient that container by the bed is than a trek to the outhouse! Especially in the middle of winter! :)

      Size of prostate do determine size of can. Pint size saves on water bill and is quieter too.
