I’m confused of why he didn’t take a sin off for... “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.”
The reason it shows Oogway just blowing out the candles instead of doing a wind thing like Shifu did, is because it shows the difference in the two masters. Oogway is patient and has inner peace, while Shifu is impatient, because he has yet to master inner peace. And the reason why Tai Lung let the five live, is so that he could strike as much fear as he can, before arriving. Basically mind games, showing that five of their best is not enough to beat him. While Po, despite him being one panda, he has learned to use the opponent's strengths against him... that and having too much fat to be affected by the nerve attacks.
Vinodh Ramesh Ehhh, I wouldn’t say he’s a good critic. I mean, often the things he criticizes are completely out of context and aren’t sin worthy, however he is pretty funny about it. An ok critic, but a good comedian
Am pretty sure you just said will not affect the cinemasins crew, in fact it that deserves a sin and am going to go ahead and add five more sins on this Kung Fu Panda movie because of the comments
6:01 I love the subtlety here. It's just a regular peach tree, but since Oogway calls it "The Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom", it's suddenly important. This follows the central theme that you only need to *believe* that something is special.
Tai Lung is a Snow Leopard.. there is only 1 tiger in this entire franchise. If there were more it would make Tigress unrecognisable (except from her martial art skills). CinemaSins earns a sin for not knowing the difference between a tiger and a freakin LEOPARD
@@uglyfense7754 One sin for Ugly Fense. A Snow Leopard is a subspecies of Leopard so just because I didn't include the word 'snow' in at the end, that does not mean that calling Tai Lung a leopard (after already establishing what subspecies of leopard he is) is wrong. It's like defining a siberian tiger/bengal tiger/sumatran tiger, a tiger. They're all subspecies of the same family of big cat. :)
@@TheYeetusLord Two more sins for Harry Pike. The word "snow" comes at the beginning, not the end, of the word "leopard" in "snow leopard," and snow leopards are genetically unrelated to leopards.
4:17 Viper's little tongue flick is kinda cute to me here. She's the member of the Furious Five who shows the most concern for Po, as she's the gentlest one. Snakes often use their tongues to smell the air, and they can sense things like pheromones that indicate how whoever they can smell is feeling. Viper is trying to see and smell if Po is ok, since his pheromones would indicate if he was afraid or internally damaged, or if she could smell any blood, she'd know he was exteriorly wounded.

Calakipmar sorry Still upset about infinity war and that is something my friends and I say to people who mention sadness. I apologize if I sounded rude.
But seriously, how did Shifu put out all those candles, is he an airbender or something? and how did he get the Dragon Scroll down from into place just by moving his staff up and back to make petals go on it. Someone needs to explain all these things.
Aubren My point is, adopting the snow leopard was a mistake, not an accident. Shi Fu new what he was doing when he took in Tai Lung. It was a mistake because of the turn-out.
huh, actually yea i can see where Mettaton is coming from. an accident is something out of your control. It was no accident that they adopted Tai Lung and he became evil because e could sense it and he was meant to become the villain
You missed a sin, when the rhinos accidentally shoot the shackel on Tai Long's arm and his arm is freed, he should have been dragged off of the pillar by the giant boulder chained to his OTHER arm, since the two boulders were the only thing keeping him down and balanced
Also, you pointed out that it took the 5 a long time to get to the prison, but when they made a tv series of this, the characters visit the prison multiple times under different circumstances and it takes well under a day to get there
Well, that sin doesn't really count, since CinemaSins focuses solely on the movie and ignores source material and spin-offs, so they wouldn't have taken the TV show into account. Your first sin is pretty on-point though, so... ding!
Well, if the villain supposedly had a thousand guards, and the Thousand Tongues of Fire only had 43 rockets, does that mean the villain only had 43 guards?
2:43 of course Master Oogway can blow out the candles in 2 seconds, because Shifu can. The difference between Oogway taking time and being in the moment and Shifu angrily attempting to control all he can is a massive recurring theme.
He also calls Oogway magic when there's no magic shown. It is even explained to us that Oogway used a nerve attack. Later he even acknowledges the nerve attack but doesn't call it magic.
"We should hang out." "Or even SEE his toes." "But he will." "Tigress, you must try this". " It`s Shifu!" "Po?" "We got this! Help her!" "He`s too fast! Sorry, Po!" "Come, little one. Gets go find your mamma." Yeah, that`s how you underuse Jackie Chan. But I wasn't bothered with that much actually.
@Anouk Etyemezian Before the film though, I kind of expected that NONE of the Five apart from Tigress were going to speak. I knew Tigress was going to speak because of a TV spot where she actually says something.
the energy thing is actually not magic but real because there IS a technique (respectively, a whole martial art) called "dim mak" that relies on hitting nerve points in a way that the opponent is either hurt, paralysed (if only for a short term) or killed. (it's also the technique ty lee from ATLA (avatar: the last airbender) uses.) so, that would work. and since it requires a LOT of knowledge about the system of the body and how it is built and THEN learning how to exactly hit the spots (which I'm sure takes a long time of training and exercise) it is also logic that only masters (which Tai Lung is, seeing how he was trained and that he had a natural gift) are able to use this in a fight.
"Bruce Lee was a badass, but against four other badasses, he'd have lost, dog" Well someone needs to see the movie where he defeats an entire school of karatekas. Unless you're speaking with real life in mind. If that's the case, disregard this comment.
+MarlonMacielBrando I think he was talking with real life in mind. His general point was that Bruce Lee was as skilled as you can get, but even he couldn't overcome numbers.
+bond james IF the numbers were filled with those close to his skill. I could kick the crap out of 100 drunken idiots. But 4 bouncers and my new bed for the night is the back alley they leave me in. Same thing. the entire school of karatekas was no match for Bruce Lee. But what about 4 dudes and/or dudettes who are as or almost as skilled as him. Its all a numbers game. Think of weaklings like pennies and Bruce Lee is a dollar. 100 pennies equals a dollar. Or 4 quarters.
Chrono Mitsurugi Oh i completely agree and i am familiar with bruce lee and his story and background. But in this movie, it was four people with similar skills to the one person they were ganging up on. Plus once it gets to be four or five guys if they all attack at once, i dont care how good you are, it becomes a problem.
It wasn't until the third movie that I realized Oogway actually had a strategy when he kept pointing at Po.. He noticed Po was trying to dodge being pointed at by his finger, and was doing well at it, and then he started testing his reflexes and was impressed.. Makes a lot more sense now..
8:08 okay I know Jeremy is kidding but as someone who did martial arts for several years, yeah you definitely wanna respond quickly to your master as a sign of respect. Also, if they think you're "being lazy" you have to run laps/stay after class/help clean the studio
i mean respect is good and all, but as a talented student you're supposed to question everything because your master is not some god who knows absolutely everything, he can be sometimes wrong too and u would need to correct him and resolve the issues
- Also, if they think you're "being lazy" you have to run laps/stay after class/help clean the studio also how is that a good thing? if you're being lazy that means u don't have enough motivation and that is what your master needs to fix, making u run laps is just a dirty hack to fix the problem temporarily
Now that you have sinned 2 of Dreamworks biggest franchises, next time you do Dreamworks, please do Shrek next. I would LOVE to see how the Shrek fandom would react to that. XD
+Duel Verse 1. the fact that its a life threatening pinkie hold. 2. the fact you could easily get outta that. 3. the fact that Po literally disintegrated a fool. 4. more magic 5. also deus ex machina 6. seriously why would you *not* sin that?
Wait, the only qualification for being a noodle chef is having a dream about noodle making, and the only people who grow up to make noodles are those who have noodle dreams, but from the sound of the dialogue, Po's father did not have a noodle dream and instead had a dream about making Tofu. So why does Po's father believe that there is a thing called a noodle dream when he himself had a tofu dream and not a noodle dream. If Po's father believed that dreams were tied to profession, then he would be making tofu.
Ping: Po, you must undertake a deep process to be a noodle chef. Ping: First, a question: Did you have the noodle dream? Po: Yes. Ping: YOURE MEETING ALL MY STANDARDS!!!!!!!! Anyone? XD
SPR Winchester tho any smart person wouldn’t believe in fate or destiny and would train the person until either the darkness is their weapon or until they pick the light over darkness
Both very good points, but I think the master is saying that they sense who the student is within. As many believe, people don't change. It doesn't matter how much you fake being a good, nice person, if you are actually hiding a cruel jerk underneath, that will eventually work its way out (like someone who has been abusive in relationships in the past trying to be sweet and loving but eventually falls back into being abusive). So, they don't want to train someone like that and make them stronger and more powerful just for them to later use that power in evil ways. I mean wouldn't you feel bad if you got a really bad vibe from someone but ignored it and went ahead and taught them how to be an unstoppable fighter only for them to use that knowledge and those skills to go on a killing spree? The student might be the monster, but you created him. So it might not be that "it becomes true because of the statement" but instead that darkness is coming to the surface, just like the master knew it would.
@SgtSupaman Not quite true, people do change. Tell me this. If a person has restrained himself for his whole life after having been abusive in relationships in the past, even if someone reminds him of his past and even he remembers it himself, yet he knows he was a monster once and does nothing in the present or the future to bring it out, do you think that the person has not changed? What would you classify as change then? That he completely forgets the past and live as if it never happened. You should give people a chance, many chances in fact. Getting a bad vibe is subjective. Some people think they know everything they need to know about another person and judge them and conjure up misconstrued feelings. How wise are such people truly? And in the end, if he's someone not as bad as the first person thought to be, he/she is letting go of a good person assuming he was bad due to buried past and some bad vibes. That for me, is more the first person's fault than the second one's. That for me, is someone who lacked the courage to trust in a potentially good person and who was quick to judge because he/she think themselves to be self-righteous while in reality they are wrong. One a side note, all the pain that starts in this world starts from rejection or not finding someone who accept or agree with you. But there are certain criteria, if a few people say you are wrong, maybe you are in the wrong place. If more people say you are wrong, maybe you are with the wrong people. If many say you are wrong, maybe you are in the wrong yourself. But if everyone says you are wrong, you are either a brilliant genius or a clueless fool. The brilliant genius would be true if people at a later time agree with you. And the clueless fool would be true when people never agree with you.
"We should hang out." "Tigress, you've got to try this." "He's too fast... Sorry, Pop!" "Come, little one. Let's find your mama." 8:21 Jackie Chan said at least four complete sentences. *ding*
The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is one of the strongest trilogies ever. And Tai Lung and Shen are some of the strongest written antagonists not only in Dreamworks history, but cinema history all together.

Pemj2k My ringtone is the space taxi song from the german comedy (T)Raumschiff Surprise. I'd say it's rather amazing, especially 'cause I find myself singing along. ;D
This video unintentionally made me more impressed with this movie, because when it slows down so that Jeremy has time to explain each sin, I'm noticing how Po's whole body wobbles with each movement to emphasize how obese he is. That's the kind of attention to detail I'd call unnecesseraly awesome in ANY movie
I know CinemaSins nitpicks a lot to begin with, but I found they nitpicked a lot more for this one than usual. I guess that's what they have to do in order to have a decent number of sins for an awesome movie.
+ragingfiip I loved this movie, but I still found this video spot on and hilarious. They've already established that most of their sins mean nothing (just watch Everything Wrong With CinemaSins to get an idea) Sometimes it's fun to look at the ridiculous side of things you like. We know it's ridiculous, that's why we love it. And the people that don't like the movie are entertained too. Win/win! And other people can be entertained by whiny fans who throw a tantrum over what was said in these videos. Add one more win.
Correction, Lions DO have a half roar. Though I'd call it more of a Bellow. This isn't me pushing sponsorship or anything, but look up 'BigCatRescue'! They have videos covering lion roars.
Frederick Again, please look at the big cat rescue channel. They have a video answering your question. People often use tiger roars because they sound more appealing. They sound bigger, louder, more ferocious. Lion roars in comparison, are smaller, and lower, sound way more chill
The biggest sin I can find for this movie is that after 20 years in prison being completely immobilized, that Tai Lung’s muscled hadn’t atrophied to the size of chopsticks and he was still able to be a badass right out the gate 😂
On the topic of magic vs Kung fu In this world strong Kung fu is magic Also in most Chinese folk stories chi and Kung fu does most of the same things that the "magic" does in the movie
I haven't seen Star Wars nor do I particularly care to see it because I have this feeling deep down that I won't like it at all, so what exactly does this mean? What does Jar Jar do?
Hold up :backs up car: According to the Netflix short stories Tigress was adopted by Shifu... So does that mean Tigress and (whatever that snow leopards name was) has step brother/sister?
+Colorful Cat Shifu and Tigress don't really have a father/daughter dynamic (even if he's her father figure). Probably had something to do with what happened with Tai Lung. It seems like Shifu raised her as a student.

@Rosie Johnson well dang, there goes my science project.
Ducks are actually pretty stupid.

You missed the sin "there are no accidents, but apparently adopting the snow leopard was wrong"
Also, you get a sin for calling him a tiger.
There's a difference between accidents and mistakes.
Mettaton Ex ...On the movies he criticizes, accidents are counted as mistakes.
Actually shi fu adopting Tai Lung is destiny because it led to the discovery of the Dragon Warrior and thus was tied in to po's destiny.
Po's dad is a goose not a duck

Your first sin is pretty on-point though, so... ding!

ILLUMINATI CONFIRMS
2:43 of course Master Oogway can blow out the candles in 2 seconds, because Shifu can. The difference between Oogway taking time and being in the moment and Shifu angrily attempting to control all he can is a massive recurring theme.
He also calls Oogway magic when there's no magic shown. It is even explained to us that Oogway used a nerve attack.
Later he even acknowledges the nerve attack but doesn't call it magic.
"We should hang out."
"Or even SEE his toes."
"But he will."
"Tigress, you must try this".
" It`s Shifu!"
"Po?"
"We got this! Help her!"
"He`s too fast! Sorry, Po!"
"Come, little one. Gets go find your mamma."
Yeah, that`s how you underuse Jackie Chan. But I wasn't bothered with that much actually.
@Anouk Etyemezian Before the film though, I kind of expected that NONE of the Five apart from Tigress were going to speak. I knew Tigress was going to speak because of a TV spot where she actually says something.
@Anouk EtyemezianCrane at least had plenty to say.
Don't Forget "Good Morning Master" .
@@ObjectRecording Oh yeah. Yeah
So that's 9 lines, not 7.
Edit : 10, counting "Good morning, master."
"No one seems the slightest but concerned that Crane's neck is visibly broken." Why am I cracking up about this?!
Its funny because of the deadpan delivery and the technical way he says it
the energy thing is actually not magic but real because there IS a technique (respectively, a whole martial art) called "dim mak" that relies on hitting nerve points in a way that the opponent is either hurt, paralysed (if only for a short term) or killed.
Good point, but pressure point martial arts doesn't give your fists gold rings or blue fire.
of course it doesn't, you're right there. but I think it serves as a visualization of the power it has. it's much cooler for kids like that.

Notice whenever the teacher/master says there is darkness in their student, it becomes true because of the statement...
No I wouldn't feel bad. I'd still train the person. Then we could dominate the world and end the pathetic existence of the weak foolish humans.
There’s darkness in everyone, so it’s also a dumb point
"We should hang out."

+Colorful Cat Shifu and Tigress don't really have a father/daughter dynamic (even if he's her father figure). Probably had something to do with what happened with Tai Lung. It seems like Shifu raised her as a student.
+John Eusebio in the netflix short Tigress is trained to calm, and then shifu adopts her from the orphanage
The One Exile Ah. I haven't seen it. good?
This video sins so many things that are meant to be jokes. Even kids get that it's a joke BECAUSE it doesn't make sense.
+Jeremy Downey I said this a minute into watching. Three minutes in this so much more true.
+Adam Udale it wasn't based on satire. It changed into a satirical channel.
***** It was better when he was making fun of real plot holes and errors, not things the studio did on purpose.
I think it's funny that people are essentially saying that a satire channel isn't satirizing seriously enough...
If a joke doesnt make sense within context of in world physics, its worthy of a sin. Even if it shouldnt be taken serious. Ignoring in world physics for jokes is still a question of how that world operates. Same for in world common sense, and power scaling
rather than a crane named "Crane," why not have a martial arts bird named "Steven Seagull"
+Joe LaRocque -- The Furious 5 characters are all based on the different styles of actual Kung Fu.
Tiger Style - Crane Style - Monkey Style - Snake Style - Preying Mantis Style
Also +Darkling276 -- Why would the Seagull need to be fat? Only Po is fat because he's a Panda.
