I remember with the sequel I thought, "Maybe we can see the kid this one!" Nope
Then the third, I thought, "Okay, that kid has GOT to make some kind of cameo" Nope
Then the fourth. I was giving up hope, but thought "This is going to be the one!"
Then the fifth. I gave up. Humans obviously went extinct sometime during their escapades.

When you rewatch the first Ice Age you understand, on a scary level, why Manny is so anal about Peaches being safe and within his line of sight. You get why he acted the way he did at first with Ellie. He's so broken and even when he gets it all back he's left terrified of losing it all again.

    "i" in ice = letter 9, "a" in age = letter 1, 9+1=10.
    "c" in ice = letter 3, "g" in age = letter 7, 3+7=10.
    "e" in ice and age = letter 5, 5+5=10.

Neanderthals lived in Europe, not North America. Only Homo Sapiens made it into North America. Maybe that's because of the crossovers of different species from different times and locations. One good example is the two Brontotheres, which, as a species, are native to North America and Asia during the Eocene period.
