Double Knot (120 S. 13th St.) is an all day café upstairs and a sexy subterranean cocktail lounge, sushi bar, Izakaya, and Robatayaki grill downstairs.
In the morning the upstairs café features an assortment of house-made pastries (like donuts and poptarts). At lunch you can grab a $7 Vietnamese meal with your choice of protein (chicken, steak, meatballs, or tofu) served as a bánh mi or over broken rice, cabbage salad or rice noodles.
Their happy hour dishes out sushi rolls, dumplings, satay, wraps, vegetables and more. They also have a selection of wine and cocktail specials. The upstairs bar changes over to dinner and snacks from 7 p.m. until close.
Downstairs is a candle-lit, beautifully designed space that’s divided into separate areas including a lounge “pod" and a large, open kitchen sushi bar and Robatayaki grill. The dining room includes partially hidden, private booths and a full bar turning out drinks from 5 p.m. until close.
