I thank you for the jeans promo. Been looking for them since mine wore out ages ago. I also ordered the striped blouse from Amazon and gave my other one away to Breast Cancer since it was too big and indeed had tabs in the sleeves! I dress for me. Always have and always will. Have been referred to as the hat lady who wears scarves! Yes, my go to with a fetish for shoes or now at 80 fancy sneakers or flats. Patti keep up your work, I admire you so much and would love to sit down and chat one day over a lunch … no I am not stalking… I am a true believer! I turned 70 last January. I love pretty clothes, but as I age , comfort is the most important thing I look for when shopping. I love all of your choices, and I admire your kindness. You couldn't look frumpy if you tried. God bless.❤

I have watched you for years. Just had to comment, at 72 I dress for comfort. If people think I am frumpy, but thats their problem. And, I am SO glad that you mentioned that some women do not have the money to throw out my clothes because someone on RUclips says they are outdated! I stay home most of the time and I am not going to invest more money on clothes that I don't need. AMEN!

I was a flight attendant for years, am blonde now fairly gray. I like to think of it as platinum blonde! I follow your makeup tutorials and try much of the makeup you like. Don’t change a thing about you! You inspire me!
Just fascinating! One of my dearest friends and I turned 82 this year we always dressed fashionable and received compliments on a regular basis ..A few days ago we had a conversation just like the one you just had with us. We suddenly feel a sense of freedom, of not worrying much about what we can or cannot wear anymore. I notice paper skin much more so I wear long sleeves more often. But if it's too hot I will show the paper skin. I believe that being in our 80s is a tremendously freeing experience. Loved your post!
I am 81 also and can totally identify with everything you are saying. Being this age is quite a shock and is definitely a new stage to get used to. We've never been here before. I am rethinking the frumpy part. I even dared to tuck my T-shirt into my jeans the other day. I am not overweight, but haven't seen my waist in quite a while. I looked good.😂

I'm 64 and love to dress fashionable and I know my style is not for everyone which is fine. My Mom is in the same boat as you are right now - she is so dang cute and I love the way she dresses (you two could be the best of friends). As we "mature" comfort is SO IMPORTANT!!! At 35, I'm glad I've learned the value of this lesson. I'm dressing for confidence, not the latest trend. I'm dressing for what makes me feel good, not for what others tell me is "for me." I'm in the throes of motherhood, and I am not walking a runway every day, haha. I love dressing up. But, fashion is fun because you can do whatever you want! I really appreciate your words of acceptance of one’s self . That it’s ok to be comfortable with one’s self. At this stage in our lives. My husband is in Hospice Care, and I just don’t have any where that I frequent to invest in clothing.I have watched some of those videos, and absolutely felt like it was me. But I am comfortable in my skin, with the way I present myself to the world. I was raised to believe, as long as you are neat, and clean. Your fine.

I have my own style which I’ve realized is somewhat based on my hairstyle! My hair is very long now and I wear it in a traditional simple up do. If I feel comfortable and pretty when I walk out the door, it doesn't matter if my dress is last year's; it doesn't matter if I can't wear what younger women wear. If I feel nice, I will carry myself in a way that displays the beauty of who I am. And, if I say I'm old, it's not a complaint; it's a practical acknowledgement of the patina that time has placed on me....and I feel the comfort and self acceptance that time has graciously given to me. First of all, I love your clothes and you did such a good job modeling them!!!! Secondly, I totally agree with you about these people saying how to dress and not looking frumpy!!!! I can't stand these things. Let people dress the way they want and what they can afford!!! If it looks frumpy to others, WHO CARES!!!! YOU are wearing these clothes!!! If it makes you feel comfortable and happy then do it!!! I personally like looser fitting clothes, because even if it's okay in the beginning, during the day you may be wishing you got something a little bit larger!!! Thank you Patti. You have said what I have felt for quite some time. I am so tired of creators telling me if I wear this or that I will look "old". I'm 75 and I am "old" but I do find it is harder for me to find clothes that I feel good in and then, when I do find something, some creator tells me that it is "out of style" or "makes you look older". Soooo - what I have done is I have deleted those creators from my feed. I will only watch people who feel like me or make me feel better. Aging is by no means an easy endeavor so let's be kind to each other. You made my day!
I tell people I am vintage...cuz I had a hard life and they didn't think I would age out at all. So I am a classic, I outlasted fads and I am still dressing in clean lines that are comforting. I broke my ankle so certain shoes I adored aren't a possibility. But ok, I am still walking when they said that was iffy so I just accept that I can't sport heels like I use to, I rather be alive and kicking just not in heels anymore
I think that feeling can hit at any age. I've felt it in my 60s. I wear what I want and usually I'm very confident in my choices, but once in awhile I feel myself pause and consider whether what I always rhought flattered me still does with my age, weight, hair colour, but especially who I am today.

I'm 59 and I have RA. I must wear pull on and pullover or zippered clothes. I can't do buttons, snaps, zippers, ties. That includes shoes -- slip on or zip up. It's been this way since my late 30s. You can be comfortable and also be fashionable! I have always been fashionable, but I hope I look as pulled together as you, Patti. I can't put on makeup every day, but I do when I go out. You give me ways I can imagine to have a more glam life. You are an inspiration!!!
Patti, I just had to respond to your wise and timely "rant" today! It truly hot home with me. I'm 76 with a whole load of health issues but- just thankful to be here to complain about it! I still care about my image. Even when it is truly painful to get dressed, I adapt and adapt until I find something that works. I will NOT be a baggy sweat pants woman! Too much of life is spent marching to someone-else's drum. I've become reflective about what I really want and what to let go of. Listening to you talk about your experience was truly validating. I’m 81 and could care less what people seem to think they can tell me what’s in or out to wearing. I will keep my jeans (Whether skinny, leggings, wide legs), my leopard everything, wear flats and low heel booties, and every color denim that work with my coloring. I dress for me.
Patti...what a great video. I find one of the greatest gifts of aging in not feeling one has to fit into a mold or care what others think of things, for example the way we dress. Yes, I think going out looking like a slob is a bad choice, but many of the younger generations have chosen that as their style. I love the clothes you showed and you look great in those outfits. I thank you for the jeans promo. Been looking for them since mine wore out ages ago. I also ordered the striped blouse from Amazon and gave my other one away to Breast Cancer since it was too big and indeed had tabs in the sleeves! I dress for me. Always have and always will. Have been referred to as the hat lady who wears scarves! Yes, my go to with a fetish for shoes or now at 80 fancy sneakers or flats. Patti keep up your work, I admire you so much and would love to sit down and chat one day over a lunch … no I am not stalking… I am a true believer! You make my day… and my glasses and jewelry lady was Iris Apfel,who I admired so much… she gave me the idea that nothing is too big or too flashy and never be embarrassed by the way you combine feathers and colors…she too was genuine in her own right and I was sad when she passed because I lost an icon…. And anyway I feel that when I turned 80 I would lose something but the contrary happened…now I feel like I have begun a new chapter in my Book of Life. I was a flight attendant for years, am blonde now fairly gray. I like to think of it as platinum blonde! I follow your makeup tutorials and try much of the makeup you like. Don’t change a thing about you! You inspire me!

Just fascinating! One of my dearest friends and I turned 82 this year we always dressed fashionable and received compliments on a regular basis ..A few days ago we had a conversation just like the one you just had with us. We suddenly feel a sense of freedom, of not worrying much about what we can or cannot wear anymore. I notice paper skin much more so I wear long sleeves more often. But if it's too hot I will show the paper skin. I believe that being in our 80s is a tremendously freeing experience. Loved your post!

I am 81 also and can totally identify with everything you are saying. Being this age is quite a shock and is definitely a new stage to get used to. We've never been here before. I am rethinking the frumpy part. I even dared to tuck my T-shirt into my jeans the other day. I am not overweight, but haven't seen my waist in quite a while. I looked good.😂

At 35, I'm glad I've learned the value of this lesson. I'm dressing for confidence, not the latest trend. I'm dressing for what makes me feel good, not for what others tell me is "for me." I'm in the throes of motherhood, and I am not walking a runway every day, haha. I love dressing up. But, fashion is fun because you can do whatever you want! I really appreciate your words of acceptance of one’s self . That it’s ok to be comfortable with one’s self. At this stage in our lives. My husband is in Hospice Care, and I just don’t have any where that I frequent to invest in clothing.I have watched some of those videos, and absolutely felt like it was me. But I am comfortable in my skin, with the way I present myself to the world. I was raised to believe, as long as you are neat, and clean. Your fine.

I know I always feel happier if I think I look good. I have my own style which I’ve realized is somewhat based on my hairstyle! My hair is very long now and I wear it in a traditional simple up do. My style is classic and traditional.I love accessories and find they make all the difference in accentuating my outfit!

If I feel comfortable and pretty when I walk out the door, it doesn't matter if my dress is last year's; it doesn't matter if I can't wear what younger women wear. If I feel nice, I will carry myself in a way that displays the beauty of who I am. And, if I say I'm old, it's not a complaint; it's a practical acknowledgement of the patina that time has placed on me....and I feel the comfort and self acceptance that time has graciously given to me. First of all, I love your clothes and you did such a good job modeling them!!!! Secondly, I totally agree with you about these people saying how to dress and not looking frumpy!!!! I can't stand these things. Let people dress the way they want and what they can afford!!! If it looks frumpy to others, WHO CARES!!!! YOU are wearing these clothes!!! If it makes you feel comfortable and happy then do it!!! I personally like looser fitting clothes, because even if it's okay in the beginning, during the day you may be wishing you got something a little bit larger!!! Thank you Patti. You have said what I have felt for quite some time. I am so tired of creators telling me if I wear this or that I will look "old". I'm 75 and I am "old" but I do find it is harder for me to find clothes that I feel good in and then, when I do find something, some creator tells me that it is "out of style" or "makes you look older". Soooo - what I have done is I have deleted those creators from my feed. I will only watch people who feel like me or make me feel better. Aging is by no means an easy endeavor so let's be kind to each other. You made my day!
I tell people I am vintage...cuz I had a hard life and they didn't think I would age out at all. So I am a classic, I outlasted fads and I am still dressing in clean lines that are comforting. I broke my ankle so certain shoes I adored aren't a possibility. But ok, I am still walking when they said that was iffy so I just accept that I can't sport heels like I use to, I rather be alive and kicking just not in heels anymore
I think that feeling can hit at any age. I've felt it in my 60s. I wear what I want and usually I'm very confident in my choices, but once in awhile I feel myself pause and consider whether what I always rhought flattered me still does with my age, weight, hair colour, but especially who I am today.

I'm 59 and I have RA. I must wear pull on and pullover or zippered clothes. I can't do buttons, snaps, zippers, ties. That includes shoes -- slip on or zip up. It's been this way since my late 30s. You can be comfortable and also be fashionable! I have always been fashionable, but I hope I look as pulled together as you, Patti. I can't put on makeup every day, but I do when I go out. You give me ways I can imagine to have a more glam life. You are an inspiration!!!
Patti, I just had to respond to your wise and timely "rant" today! It truly hot home with me. I'm 76 with a whole load of health issues but- just thankful to be here to complain about it! I still care about my image. Even when it is truly painful to get dressed, I adapt and adapt until I find something that works. I will NOT be a baggy sweat pants woman! Too much of life is spent marching to someone-else's drum. I've become reflective about what I really want and what to let go of. Listening to you talk about your experience was truly validating. I live in a beautiful area of Canada where every season Mother Nature changes her look. It's a sparkling golden day here and I'm blessed to watch your channel. I'll be back.
I’m 81 and could care less what people seem to think they can tell me what’s in or out to wearing. I will keep my jeans (Whether skinny, leggings, wide legs), my leopard everything, wear flats and low heel booties, and every color denim that work with my coloring. I dress for me.
Patti...what a great video. I find one of the greatest gifts of aging in not feeling one has to fit into a mold or care what others think of things, for example the way we dress. Yes, I think going out looking like a slob is a bad choice, but many of the younger generations have chosen that as their style. I love the clothes you showed and you look great in those outfits. I love your nail color...very autumnal! You are so beautiful, inside and out!!!
Patti I enjoy your Videos so very much...I have followed you for years.. In my working years I was a Buyer for Ladies Ready to Wear. I am used to the "FASHION WORLD".. I am retired and 81 years old...I don't wear my 5' heels anymore.. LOL but I always like to be "ME".. I must say that you hit the nail on the head.. THERE IS NO FASHION POLICE..I like your style and every piece that you showed in this video..Understated with a touch of elegance... You have a special FLAIR... God Bless!!!!!
