It's a great mic but after having it awhile two issues I've had. The usb C plug gets loose quickly and be careful with the headphone jack had one push all the way in. Pick a spot you want it and don't move it other than that. Great usb microphone.
Thank you for this review. Very useful for making a good decision. What is your experience with a DAW. I am using Presonus Studio one Professional 5.2. Is this a good addition to this DAW, especially for using recording for my singing at home ?. I record midi numbers for our band at home and convert them to wav. I also record my vocals (preferably without effect, because the sound engineer does not need this). In short, what do you recommend? Greeting Henk From the Netherlands
Not sure I understand your question. What is my experience with a DAW? Well, check around my youTube channel and my website and you will get a feel for what my experience level is www.homerecordingmadeeasy.com/
hi there I know this is not relevant to this video but I'm about to build out my studio and I was wondering your thoughts on the slate raven vs getting a studio live for daw control purposes? It seems like you have not kept either and I was wondering why. Also which do you prefer? Currently I mix in Studio one 5.2 and produce in Ableton live 11. I work on a mac with external Pre's and burl converters. thanx in advance for your time and tutorials they are super informative!
I might have missed if you mentioned it in the video, but how would you say this mic does with background noise rejection? Is the gate pretty effective at minimizing stuff like keyboard or mouse clicks if it were to be used for gaming?
Hi, there. Would it be ok to connect this mic to a usb hub, or should I connect it directly to my laptop to avoid issues? Also, I use an AKG 414 for my vocal recording, but will it be easy to switch from one mic resouce to the other when I need to zoom someone? Thanks
A little off topic but i heard you talk a lot about the hd 650 headphones. Ive been using the hd 280s since i began with s1 in 2009. Is there that much difference? Im thinking of getting them but 500 is a lot for subtle diff.
I currently use these and are the best headphones for mixing I have ever used. The 650's are not much of a stepup from what you are currently using imp.i114863.net/jkKLP

StduioLive all day long. I would not purchase a Raven. I used one and hated it, sold it

it's a condenser mic so the rejection isn't great. You def need to use a gate.

I would think directly to your computer but give it a try on the hub. It wont hurt anything
