I'm 26 now but I still remember this AMV very clearly and this is the first time I've checked back since then, so glad it's still up! Now a days people just make troll style amv or something with way over the top editing that looks enjoyable at first but you totally forget about them in a while. I've been watching AMVs since VHS was hot stuff. This is one of the most artistically poignant ones I've ever seen. The execution is remarkable and the clip choices are excellent. There is a point where fan work rivals the source material in importance. This crosses that line out of the gate. Top three, easily.

I love how you didn't bombard it with unnecessary flashy effects and instead focused on choosing the anime moments that sublimely portrayed the meaning of the lyrics. I can't count how many AMV's that have neglected going in-depth with the song and anime scene meanings over including 'cool' effects. You also went out of your way to include captions for both the anime/episode guide and the lyrics. Also, for those of you who are complaining about spoilers: Why are you even watching AMV's in the first place? Do you expect people to edit scenes with no real meaning just so that a few of you won't complain about spoilers? Get real.

Episode 305 of Gintama aired today and after witnessing the events of that greatness, I really appreciate my Gintama AMV even more. Maybe it sounds arrogant, but I'm more then proud of that AMV. It's over 2,5 years old but now it is even more fitting to Sakata. Gintoki's character, definitely my favourite character of all time. I just hope that as many people as possible can witness the journey of Gintama and appreciate the qualities of this masterpiece. Don't live in your past, face forward and enjoy the present while moving to the future to the fullest. If you live now, that means you Survived your past, Got Up even after your life beated you down pretty hard and now you Just have to Let Go of all the depressing times and face forward. Remember the past, learn your lessons, but don't live in it until you die.

Crazy how time flys by so fast, it's been 7 years since this was made and brings back memories both good ones and bad ones. The first 2 bands I started listening to Hollywood undead and Linkin Park. Linkin Park got me threw some hard times and was sad to hear that Chester died after all he was a good guy and the world won't be the same with him.

Yep I agree on the cool effects part but some songs are so good they make up for the crappy amv at times its rare but happens from time to time.
