I have this watch and the Garmin 265. Both are spot on when compared to the chest strap. GPS is the same for both. I think Polar did some updates since this. It is really a nice watch and easier to use than Garmin IMO
Having used the Ignite 2 for about a year or two, now the Ignite 3 is definitive an improvement. It is significantly snappier than the 2 and the screen is better readable. I like it, but I would never use an Ignite as a running watch. When running, I prefer passive LCD and buttons, so I take my Vantage V for that. For me, the Ignite is my daily activity tracker and it is so slim that I can also use it under my tail coat when I do ballroom dancing.
I just got it and very happy with it, my Garmin 255 is slower and looks like an old Casio compared to it. I do agree the strap is not good as the watch, so I changed it. The GPS is also very good, as my Garmin was, no difference at all.
Looks like a watch that’s DOA. Really perplexing and confusing choices by Polar. Amoled screen and dual band were noteworthy as well as Polar’s strong sleep and recovery analysis. But slow processor and lack of buttons means that it’s neither as smart as say an Apple Watch nor as usable as it’s own sibling the pacer pro. Add to that the universally hated strap makes me wonder if this was a rush job to market (for what reason, im not sure)

Good review, I am curious which is the primary watch you each use?
I think they mostly use either the large Garmin (Epix?) or the new apple watch

Loving my Coros Apex 2. UI is so much better than Garmin.
Very laggy interface
It is, but when I restarted the watch, it was okay again.. I guess it will improve with a firmware update soon.... (hopefully)
Today he has better??@@JohanNijdam
