Cory, your painting skills are unbelievable and I've been inspired to redo an old cupboard from years ago. It was far too heavy for me to take outside, but after watching you numerous times paint your pieces inside, I gave it a go. I wiped up the drips and splashes as I went but after dropping the paintbrush for the fourth time, my admiration of you went up a few more notches and I was rethinking the whole disaster.
I think the secret is to not to put too much paint on the brush but that's a skill I haven't mastered yet. My cupboard is half done so I must keep going and I have my fingers crossed that things will run more smoothly. It's not looking too hopeful. You're amazing.

That trunk, omg that turned out so beautiful!!! Bravo! I love it. Your booth is also beautiful and if I lived close I would definitely be frequenting it. You of course do a marvelous job of staging and make everything look like something I should have at home! 😍💖💝 Also, with those prices things should be flying out of your booth left and right! The owners of the market should give you an extra stall! Love ya. PS YES to the historia sign, that would be so cool! Those chandeliers are so beautiful, I didn't even notice them before the end. Everything ties together SO well.

I justvdid a lane cedar chest someone had painted it black so I sanded it and painted it white. Looks amazing. I love it when you can see your vision come to life.

The second coat because that is when I see the piece right side up, but the first coat is the most transformative… so I like the two together

My parents bought me a “Hope Chest” for a graduation gift in 1971 when I wanted a new bike. At least they took me to the furniture store to pick one out. Much to their dismay, i picked the Lane LIME GREEN with LOVE painted across the front. Yes I still have it, I’ve replaced the cushion top with a nice tapestry & painted it white. It lives in my cellar, i doubt that I will ever find a place for it my living area. 😊
I like the last coat of paint, whether it be second or third. There’s a sense of completion and beauty in that.

I have my mother's Cedar Chest that was a wedding gift to her in 1946. Hers is solid wood. Your shop is beautiful
I graduated in 1979 and my mom bought it for me, I was 17. I still have it and I've refinished it a couple of times. I'll send you a picture.

Your booth is so beautiful. I want to buy so many of your things. The topiaries, the yellow round weather vane, the yellow/ brown framed art, the blue and white dishes, on and o. The fact you leave space between your items so one can see everything and each peice gets to be a focal point. I think k over crowding is a big mistake most booth owners make. Your booth is perfection.

To me, it creates more interest in a room, and can be a source for conversation, for those who don't find it easy to do so. 😉 All my pieces have a story behind them. I'm sure most of your accessories are the same. 😁🥰
I totally understand that! I think a lot of men tend to like things to match and be streamlined. At least the men I know lol. But I appreciate a mix of things and also like matching things too.

That turned out beautiful… But one of the problems with the Cedar lane chest was lacking when little children climbed inside, so now they actually remove the locks so that that doesn’t happen… If you have the key, you’ll probably be safe, but make sure to keep an eye on the Littles

Did you know you can ship books, magazines etc, via media mail? It's a lot cheaper than priority.

Booth looks awesome! So happy your online project is working well for you. Word of caution about etsy, or any online sales for that matter, watch out for scammers! I have a situation going on right now with one. Completely different address given on their invoice, and requested to be sent to a different address in a message. Whole deal is sketchy right now, it was 150.00 sale, i will let you know if i have to refund or the item gets sent back to me. Happy mothers day!!

@@DesertDIY well, it went to another address that they had listed in their profile as the ship to. But wanted me to ship it somewhere else. Now they want me to get it back and ship to a address they messaged me with. I have the funds, it was paid for. But now the package is sitting in a p.o. box. I found the p.o. box holders phone number on line and called them only being able to leave a message to return to sender if not their purchase or account. Haven't heard from anyone yet, its in limbo at the moment. Something odd going on here. I will keep you posted.

The trunk looks fabulous! I noticed that you have a print of the painting called, Grace, in your booth. My paternal grandmother worked for the photographer, Eric Enstrom, and also knew the man in the original photograph. He was a peddler. I am originally from Minnesota.

*My favorite to watch is the second coat of paint. The first coat is always streaky and blah and I always want to just get past that part, already, so that the piece FINALLY STARTS TO LOOK GOOD, not all splotchy‼️🙉💯 I agree that it's always fun to see the hardware get installed. 😉🤎👌*

Hi Cory! The black letters will look great no question. Also if you thrift the letters randomly and mix and match, that would be cool too! The thrift stores are full of letters of different materials and colors. It just popped into my head that you should decoupage letters in your signature blue and while. I guess this is me telling you that personally I am tired of just black lettering!
