    No negative comment here. God will forgive, if Chauvin ask. That's the beauty of serving God. When it all comes down to it ...man's opinion means nothing, when God forgives. Father God, in the name of Jesus, may you heal the two families involved and our country to heal from this tragedy. AMEN.

      Religion was created to maintain mind control over the weak minded and desperate. The bible was written by the scholars of their time, with contributions to scripture by many of those who sought to control those weak in mind and spirit.

      "If it don't look good...it's no good"
      As senior officer Chauvin should have been working the crowd...not controlling the subject
      Playing the game...spinning the narrative rather than letting the crowd do it
      Floyd would be just as dead....but that's irrelevant

    ive seen 100s of police dashcams where suspacts acts the same, he was kinda guilty but not to the extent of life in prison, he was just doing his job. and thhe mf floyd shoulv e respected the law. this is why they advise not to resist the arrest. honestly he killed himself. Its shame that this guy had to go to jail while doing his job. i saw the actual dashcam and he was on drugs.

      He knew about the heart condition and the drug overdose? wow, that's bad.
      It's really unfortunate that what he did was in the training manual then, but at least they changed it afterwards.
      It's a pitty non of the pepole responsible for the training were punished, but at least they got one

    Derek Chauvin sounded broken and sorry for what he did to George Floyd to me. We should forgive him too. Especially if he has asked from God forgiveness than we too as Americans should forgive him. He at least sounded sincere here regarding the condolences to the Floyd family who have at least been compensated for their lost.

    As long as they just punish the results of bad training, instead of actually aiming for the broken system itself, cops are going to continue making mistakes leading to deaths.
    They need much better training, and better funding.
    In my country, there are strict requirements and 3 years of police academy (including one year of supervised field training) required to become a police officer, and nothing like this ever happens

      Police academies teach recruits to use force in accordance with State Attorney General guide lines. Excessive force is discouraged and deadly force is a last resort used only to prevent serious injury or death. Unfortunately some police officers use deadly force first not out of fear but out of anger.

      Yeah, that's why i think there needs to be stricter requirements on who gets in to the police academy, in mental and physical fitness. and as for active police, they need easy access to counseling and therapy, cause they have to deal with a lot of difficult situations.

    22,5 years is nothing really
    It was a victory to be prosecuted and sentenced but that prison time is nothing for what he has done.

      yeah, 22,5 years is not enough for possibly causing the death of a man with a heart condition that's having a drug overdose wich may or may not have been the cause of death, while doing what was in the training manual, which they fortunatley replaced afterwards.
      He should get at least 50 years, just in case he actually caused the death by accident.
      He's clearly a horrible man! And it's a good thing he's going to jail!
