You are an exceptional teacher! You are telling ESL students what other teachers do not. A few more points: 6. Do not copy the nasal, suppressed, or guttural voice. It is not important. 7. Do not learn to speak English from movies, normal people do not talk like that. 8. At your profession/work, stay with formal English as much as possible. 9. Do not pick up one particular local accent; you may have to move elsewhere or work with people from many countries 10. DO NOT ridicule someone for not speaking English as well as you do; he/she may be much better than you in something more important in life. My anecdote: I learned German by repeating the news on TV. I got my first job just because of my formal German. The natives were really impressed.
Stefanie is absolutely on of the best English teachers on RUclips! Thanks for keeping up the great work! Philip, from Brazil, currently living in Chicago.

What I know about speaking english isn’t about speaking fast it is the intonation the key since English’s intonation is completely different from other languages like Spanish, French etc so that could be the reason we say native English speakers speak fast but in reality their intonation is different from us so that we perceive like super fast speaking. That’s what I have learned since I start studying English two years ago

This is actually a fun one! I've been around a friend for over 7 years now who really struggles with their filler words habit, so I ended up subconsciously adopting it - not in a way to fit in, but kinda just did it without realizing it haha These are true eye-openers, especially for people who are struggling to reach that edge of fluency. Thanks for the tips! Sometimes when I'm talking to someone in English, I tend to speed up my speech because I feel nervous and shy, and I end up getting lost in my words... but I'll try to slow down! By the way, you should start a podcast giving tips like that. It'd be really worth it!
I would love to make a podcast!! If not this year, then hopefully next 💪🏼
You're an excellent teacher!! I've learned a lot with your extraordinary lessons. I never miss a single lesson that you post.👌👌👌👌
Thank you! I always try to bring good, thoughtful material to you guys!
Me neither.
Hi we can practice English speaking I am searching for English speaking partner I need to improve my English vocabulary
She really values communication people should definitely go with. This is a mantra of being confident of speaking, which really encourages me to do that.
I’m from Morocco. I started learning English from an Egyptian who has the first educational channel in the world on RUclips and I’m still learning with him. I hope to become fluent in English and speak like native speakers. I just wanted to say that I understood the whole video because your English is perfect and clear. The second thing is that you’re very attractive when you smile.
This is the first video I watch from you and I was so impressed by the way you speak and communicate everything so fluently. I liked it inmediately but then when I saw the bloopers I couldn't avoid subscribing. Wow that makes me feel like it's okay to make mistakes when you are speaking! It just gives me more confidence, and encourages me to keep practicing. Thanks for that!!
Her speaking is so crystal clear. Love the way she speaks. I will imitate the way she speaks.
I really love how this girl talks, hopefully all the North American speak like her
Darwin Guiza yeah, but that is just a beautiful dream. Many US people speak like a bullet.
@Kacper Tomasik lmao I got it
Hi
Most of black usa speak unclearly and mumbling in every sentences
@@titehena8278 I'm not agree with you but i respect you opinion....IN USA HAVE DIALECT NO BODY GET ...EVRY REGION GOT DIFERENT SOUND GRAMAR ETC..".AMERICAN ENGLISH" ISN'T DIASPORA IS A CLUSTER OF POTOIS..OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE
CREOLE IS SO HARD TO LEARN!
Wow... You've just told me to stop doing everything I was working on in my speaking... Tks a million! Good to know that's not necessary to sound fluent
Haha you’re welcome 💪🏼😉
You are an exceptional teacher! You are telling ESL students what other teachers do not.
A few more points:
6. Do not copy the nasal, suppressed, or guttural voice. It is not important.
7. Do not learn to speak English from movies, normal people do not talk like that.
8. At your profession/work, stay with formal English as much as possible.
9. Do not pick up one particular local accent; you may have to move elsewhere or work with people from many countries
10. DO NOT ridicule someone for not speaking English as well as you do; he/she may be much better than you in something more important in life.
My anecdote: I learned German by repeating the news on TV. I got my first job just because of my formal German. The natives were really impressed.
Thank you so much! I've been worrying about my speech speed is much slower than peers who speak English and that makes me unconfident
First advise is really good! Speak slowly then gradually increase the speaking speed, just like learning sports (you know) hahaha
Stefanie is absolutely on of the best English teachers on RUclips! Thanks for keeping up the great work!
Philip, from Brazil, currently living in Chicago.
I'm Brazilian, and I always get here to listen to the teacher. English isn't my native language, even studying for 7 years, I need to practice. The same with Spanish and Italian, I like these languages a lot! Thanks teacher 🙂

Ate logo
I’m learning English for more than 7 years by myself, nobody tech me, nobody correct me, but I always here to find some good tips for English learning, I like your suggestions so I just subscribed your channel and I hope to hearing a lot of your other lessons. Anyway, thanks for your teaching and helps.
I love your video, it’s so helpful. Could you recommend some channels making daily conversation for me and people wanting to practice speaking english? Thank you very much ❤️
I realized I've made exactly the same mistakes you've listed.. It's really hard to find a great native coach in here S.Korea thus I rather prefer to see various movies and news a lot.
It's lucky to find out such a nice coaching and tips of you which make me understand where I stand^^
It helping me a lot, super clear and super easy to follow.
Hope you be safe and healthy. 😉
Thank you so much for this video! You brought up a very important issue every language learner has to look into and take out what is needed.
I've learned too much only in 20 minutes . Thank you very much !
She reminds me a lot to Miss Universe Puerto Rico - Madison Anderson, mostly on her vocabs that´s such great thing.
You are such a good teacher! Hi from Colombia to my favorite american who has helped me a lot!
Hi my coach I really love to listen you because I can understand what I have to improve about English. Those 5 habits I will avoid it. I'm from Rio in Brazil. Peace
Like? 🤗😋
She Speaks very clear and a wonderful pronunciation...
I had this video in my recommended and thank you for that. 💙 I speak softly, almost in every sentence I use fillers and tone of it is like rollercoaster. I will try to practice and get better. Reading out loud some text helps me a lot but get rid of using fillers will take some time. :)
Obrigado pelas dicas.
Wow, it was the first time I've been watching her channel, I surely can say that I was inspired by her accent. Thanks a lot for your motivational channel, I hope it will be helpful for all those who are trying to improve their listening and also speaking skills
I am a beginner in English
Please come and support us once ^^
Our teacher is so cute ... I fall inlove again 😂😂
Wow . You spoke very clearly and accurately. I am not a native speaker of English and I could follow your speech word by word. Unfortunately other native speakers don't speak like this specifically @Australia. They use a lot of idioms which make it hard to follow for not native speakers.
I love learning English and I know that there are many people help us improve our skill of English. I've learned a lot of thing watching your videos, I'm so grateful.
You're so helpfull, it's a fact that i improve a lot my english knowledge just listen you steph, thank you very much for all the videos you give us. ❤
I agree with you, ever since i watched her vidio, i feel my english has improved a lot. I'm verry happy . Anyways thank you steph , it's very helpful for me🥰
Oh my godness!! she actually blinks twice a second......................................... XD
Marvelous😍 This is the exact content of the video that I actually needed. I do really appreciate the first part because I always tend to speak faster than the natural one. But it's because of having some butterflies on my stomach. Anyway, thanks a lot for making perfect advice!
Sometimes I speak Spanish too quickly and I make mistakes that I know better as a result. So good advice. 👍🏽
She speaks so clearly! I really like her pronunciation😍i'm in love
Don't use "you know" when you talk
Stephanie : 7:31😂😂
The most beautiful teacher and channel too ❤❤❤❤❤🔝🔝
Isaac Eid yeah it is a enjoyment for me to watch her speaking
She is amazing ❤🤩
Me: having accent, speaking too fast like a machine gun, mumbling, speaking too soft due to insecurity.
Other people: what alien language is this dude speaking?
Hahaha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The way I relate to you, though...
Stefanie, my best teacher ever, I look forward to have a conversation with you online , I'm challenging myself 😂
i love your "scared little girl" when you talk about speaking too loud or too soft!!! AWESOME
Her pronounciation is amazing. I really love her so much, I cannot stop watching videos of her
Oh my! I really needed this and I'll definetely try to use it for my job, my content. This is gold advice for everything. I can - and I'll try my best to - use it for my videos and for the way I speak English in general. Definetely subscribed! Thanks a million, Stephanie!!!😊❤️
Hello guys- I have to thank you Stefanie for everything that you said, I try to improve my English level every day, and I think that learning such worthy lessons like yours, will help me to communicate better with others and come across as a kind person. Thanks a lot.
I try to speak English with my 2yo son. I need an experiment. But it's so effective, my son absolutely knows what I mean. Everyday English is must.
Fast talking, fillers, swearing, no mumbling and speaking too soft or too soft. Cool. Never thought of these patterns like that. Thank you.
The worst habit to avoid is using fillers "like" "your know" "um". I use this a lot even in my mother tongue
Yeah, but sometimes it's automatic.
Oof same
"Like" is the best. But you're right...we gotta watch ourselfs, especially cursing. If you curse that should be a big deal, not a filler. Our words suppose to mean smth, but if we continue do this we'd get to the point where every word is a filler and nothing makes sense.
Michael Matveev for real? I tend to utilize a bunch of slang, moreover I overuse the same filler words
Great video! I was just thinking about how smooth you speak, without being lost for words. Loved the ending :)
I used some fillers and tends to vary them , it clearly helps filling the silence gap or make it more fluent and less jerky
I love see you speaking english. Amo ver você falando inglês.
Hi There, i hope you're well
I'm from Morroco ❤and i would thank you for your help and i still studying by this language ,I could speak fast but i have some problems as vocabulary and When I'm talking with somebody I couldn"t understand All what he said ,please Give me a suggestion and again Thank So much i have being follow you 1 years ago 🌺🌻🌹
"The next bad speech habit that I avoid recommending..." I'm dead! The bloppers are the best part. Thanks Stefanie.
LOLOLOL!!!! So true. So funny
Happy to occupied my schedule with your new video !!! Stay healthy, btw we need you 😂
Thank you!
I'm learning English as a second language. Thank you for your advice.
> 1. Don't speak too fast or quick.
I know what you mean. However, I feel your speaking speed is fast.
I love this! I know one of the most famous RUclipsrs in Morocco who pretends to be good in English, and keeps repeating "What the f***" as if he's saying something worth saying!
Segura, Inteligente y Hermosa...
Intelligente y Hermosa: definitely; Segura: not so much, but that's a good thing because she improves herself continuously 👍
que lindo commentario
I really learn and enjoy watching your videos, everything is perfect.
I really appreciate your efforts, but there are only 45 videos on RUclips, do you have more lessons or podcast? If yes how can I get them?
Thanks in advance.
This is actually a fun one! I've been around a friend for over 7 years now who really struggles with their filler words habit, so I ended up subconsciously adopting it - not in a way to fit in, but kinda just did it without realizing it haha
These are true eye-openers, especially for people who are struggling to reach that edge of fluency. I actually do tend to use offensive language with my friends a lot more than in my native language but that's more of my folks' strict background, and I actually feel more like myself when expressing in English. It's funny how it can go both ways!
Thank you for yet another amazing and to the point vid! Greetings from brazil!
I watched this video yesterday and left my comment but where did it go? Why there is no my comment here ! So i watched it again. I am studying listening skill today also and it took me for about fourty minutes to finish this video... i have to study for a long time !!;;
I am Indonesian. I' m so appreciate your way to teaching English. You speak clearly and easy to understand. The matters that you explained not only about how to learning English well but also about the Public Speaking.
5 And Speech Habbits and a tip
1:27 1. too fast /3:39 2. too many fillers /6:44 3. mumbling /11:00 4. too loud or soft /14:06 5. Imitating bad models who are rude, patronizing, aggressive etc. /18:55 NG cut
Is it weird that i use "ain't", "furthermore" and "nevertheless" in a same sentence?
Damm, Curious to see how u put all in a statement.... But no, it is unusual but okay, they tend to use less word or smaller ones, but wont sound weird at all.
Lol
Everytime you, "Estéfane", are covering I lough too much!! hhahahahah I love you (no bom sentido, Português-BRASIL)
I changed the playback speed setting on this video to 2x as fast but you still sound so clear and understandable.
Congratulations, thanks a lot.
The English Coach : Stop saying "you know"

I'm like, Stefanie, that's not how we supposed to talk, you know?😂😂😂😂😂
Don't say -like- all the time
1) vá ao vídeo com a seta do mouse;
2) aparece uma barra inferior com símbolos; um deles é uma roda dentada e clique aí;
3) aparece um quadro onde surge "legendas" e clique aí;
i just wanna know what was that (n) cursing language i’m too curious to know that , so please someone tell me
johnny jya it’s the word that some people use instead of black person, google offensive word to say to an African American person
N...ga
I've just stumbled upon this channel, and found the video very instructive and useful.
I am a Brazilian native speaker who has to speak English at work part of time.
Thumbs-up!
This is the best 20mins of speaking lession I had. Not only from language skill but also communication and presentation perspective.
Very good advices and practical. Unfortunately I had all these bad habits. But now I know i have them and I can practice to minimise them.
The end of the video is more funny than itself😂😂😂
It'the perfect one"I avoid recommending'😂😂😂
Love you Stephanyy💜💜💜
Why is she speaking so fast? Oh, I have playback speed set to 2.
Hello from Chicago..!
I'm traying to speak and understand but i feel frustration, because I have years about 15 ..learning. But when You speak I understan everything..!
You've just given me the greates tip that an english learner can receive. I' ve done this mistake in the past (speaking too fast) now I understand why things didn't work out. Thank you.
