Wilson Tong Did an awesome acting job here and deserves a mention of his own. If you've watched this movie at least four times over the years, as I have, you'll come to the same conclusion. Chen Kuan Tai made this masterpiece and his charisma and kung fu are fascinating. However, Wilson Tong is the pillar of this movie, the one who makes this movie as good as it is and you won't realize that the first time you watch it. His acting of his character is so spontaneous and deep, I don't see the difference between him as an actor and the character he plays while for all the others, including Chen Kuan Tai they're a bit theatrical troop representation. But Wilson is amazingly balanced in his acting. His dispatching by CKT is a bit rough and again that makes the movie more gut wrenching. He really deserves praise for his performance.
HI Goognam, I sure agree with your comment👍🏼. 🙂 I have only watched Iron Monkey just this once and I think it's one of the best in Wu Tang Colé tigon along with the Drunken movies, I enjoy his humour. @@42kellys Great question, I haven't followed contemporary kung fu movies. Donnie Yen is getting a bit old, i think. His pride is a bit over the top for me. I am 100% vintage kf hardcore fan, and it's not just the action that draws me but it's raw, filmed in nature i love that and the characters are very much transfering a lot of real ancient chinese culture to the screen the way today's movies no longer do.
