    this is fantastic...I have played for a long time by ear. These are nice runs, even for moderately advanced players and the theory is spelled out well. Thank you. I totally understand your teaching style! It is GREAT! I am your new fan! ^_^

    Really, REALLY, nice lesson/technique. Not only does it combine understanding (and effective/efficient use of both inversions, and resolution around "sus" chords, but it does all that while also inserting little counter-motions in the overall "down" arpeggio. The little back-and-forths used to achieve resolutions, provide very nice little "surprises". Much more interesting that a one-direction arpeggio. Simple, elegant, sophisticated, interesting. And it is just flat-out beautiful. Just doesn't get any better than this. Please do more of this kind of thing. GO! MANGOLD!

    AS THE LEFT HAND IS NOT IN THE PICTURE WE CAN JUST PLAY Csus4( CFG) FMajor Csus2 and back to Cmajor by our left hand
    The suspensions sound so beautiful and one don't really get such a wonderful lesson often on RUclips.

    Very interesting. It's amazing to learn this, and by deconstructing it we can perhaps in time try to create our own little fills based on the same concepts. Thanks so much for sharing. One interesting thing is the timing: in the run that you go through in forensic detail, the timing is 4-5-4-5-4-5; in the one in the introduction it's 4-3-3-4-3-3-(3)-4-3-3, and also with different notes; well one extra note (G). What's nice is to mix up the timing/pattern in the different octaves e g 5 - 4 - 5. Thanks again!

    Hi, I have some doubts that are not of this video.
    1) if I play the notes "C E G F" I'm forming a true c add11?
    2) to form a c11 you need to add the seventh eleventh and ninth also, leaving "C E G Bb D F" true? What if this chord is a little difficult to do on the guitar because it has many notes. Maybe you can skip some notes on the guitar?
    Well I hope you can answer me or someone who reads this and knows I would also serve. thank you very much. Pd: sorry for my english and very good video.

    • @MangoldProject
      @MangoldProject  8 лет назад +1

      1. Technically yes, although a "C add 11" is just a "C add 4", which is the conventional name for the chord. Most people would scratch their heads if you told them "C add 11".
      2. Yes. The most important notes are the 3rd, 7th and then highest degrees. So the bare minimum would be E, Bb, F.
