I've always wanted to be able to do this and no one has been able to show me how. I'm so glad you did this video. I will be practicing for sure! Thank you!
Thanks Dana! If you like this we've also just released a new course on riffs and fills that goes even deeper into the concepts! www.pianote.com/riffs-and-fills
She’s not only talented, happy soul but has a lovely voice. I’m an old man but really taken in with the hope my granddaughter turns out like this beautiful young lady.
In my song writing and music compositions I now have so much more understanding from watching what I can only describe as the perfect piano tutorials, great work you do here for people all over the world, many many thanks 😊😊😊
I loved #2 so I watched you play it and then I kept backing up and watching that short piece at least a dozen times over. Once I finally got the grasp I let the video play on, and then chuckled as you slowed it down and showed exactly how to play it. You completely negated the need to back it up and watch it over and over. Lol. Well, it's definitely under my fingers now. Thanks very much. I have to remember you're a teacher who knows what she's doing.
This lesson was exactly the one I was looking for you explained it so nicely thank you so much You have such a pretty voice keep singing love it thanks again
Thank you for all your lessons. All the 'tricks' add so much meaning to playing chords. I especially value the gospel songs a lot, as I can adopt the methods to my own piano worship style. Love your videos❣️
I have watched a lot of piano tutorials and I am subscriber, but this is so awesome, that I have to give you a great compliment, that I will be practicing. Thanks for this. probably my favorite
Inspired lessons.. Lisa you really have a gift of teaching and see the lesson from the eyes of a beginner .. fantastic learning.. many of your videos have helped me learn the piano over the last 6 mo.
I used to just think that the left hand is just for playing chords and the right hand for playing riffs or lead.. But well, the opposite sounds pretty amazing too! And these tips that you share, it just makes every average looking song sound extraordinary! It's just amazing!
As someone who learned chords and nothing else, I found your lessons ideal. Thank you so much. You've also confirmed some things I'd been guessing and that's given me the confidence to experiment more. 😊
Thank you for mentioning that it will take some time to get this down. So many want to tell people that it is so simple and make them feel like they will be sounding like them tomorrow.
this video showed up at the perfect moment for me. my left arm is currently in a sling, so just practicing the right hand gives me something else to do besides play scales and chord inversions. thank you for your great work
I'm at a point in my lessons where I can play a decent progression from a lead sheet, but I didn't know what to play during the gaps. This video is a great start to playing more fluidly, thanks very much!!
OMG these sound so amazing! Thank you - I can’t believe how simple the idea is - but what a difference in the sound! Thank you for this gift! I cannot thank you enough. :-). Oh, and my favorite is the 3rd one with the inversion, but I know I will use all of them.
omg I've been looking for a video like this for so long!! Thank you guys! I didn't know what to call "fills" so it made it difficult to look up, but yeah.. fills makes sense! lol
Beautiful lesson, thank you. I'm a classically-trained pianist and I also teach beginners, but I was never taught how to play with chords. Recently, I've been working very hard to learn chord-based piano and I'm teaching it to my students. But it's hard to find lessons on fills. Sometimes they're extremely complex, but for the most part they're very, very simple and non-inspiring. Just listening to these lovely fills, inspired me to create some more of my own! I've very tempted to take the riffs and fills course - if most of the lessons are like this, I would definitely sign up!!
Awesome! I remember when I first learned chording it totally blew my mind! There are 6 lessons on riffs and fills just like this in the course: www.pianote.com/riffs-and-fills There's also a 90-day guarantee, so if you start it and don't love it, you have 3 months to get a refund :)
U make it seem so easy and when I watch you I run straight for my yamaha and then attempt what I watched and it doesn't sound anything like it. Wish I could play something like this
Awesome lesson Lisa maam. I'm sure that it'll be helpful for everyone. Thank you so much for your lessons. You are really a very good music teacher, the best music teacher that I've ever seen 😊😘😘
I just discovered this wonderful channel and want to thank you for the helpful advice from someone who was trained in classical piano and looking to improve my piano improvisation! I look forward to seeing more of your future content :)
I love your work! The only thing I could recommend is that you put the word intermediate or something similar because so much of it is way beyond what a beginner can’t understand.

Pianote For Fills #2 and 3 - how would (or do) you change the pattern if you are playing an inversion?
All very nice, but #3 seems to add the most versatility and interest. Excellent video.

You have a beautiful voice. I wish you could give singing lessons. 😊

It is a gift to be able to pass on knowledge that is understandable and doesn't intimidate the listener.
I listen to it each day since one week and each time i find something new to practice about it!
Thank you for all your lessons. All the 'tricks' add so much meaning to playing chords. I especially value the gospel songs a lot, as I can adopt the methods to my own piano worship style. Love your videos❣️
