    WOW - real estate / home prices have really spiked in 2023 ! We were hoping to buy something there, but seems like renting may be our best option now !

      Hi Mary. Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, as Nick indicated you have to dig deep to find some bargains since everything close to the beach or ocean view really spiked up in price in 2022-23

    On another note Roger, I’ve heard, at the discretion of Immigration, you can now stay in the country 180 days instead of the previous 90. Is that true? If so do you just ask when coming back into the country?

      Thanks for the question. I have not seen that regulation. They would have that discretion if the Immigration Regulations allowed them since the immigration officer must adhere to the regulations. I will look into in more detail. Costa Rica is negotiating with the US now to allow Costa Rica citizens access to the US Global Entry system.

      Yes. You are correct. I have read the new Visa regulation modification and they have.invrrased the tourist visa to 180 days for certain countries such as US, Canada and Europe.

    why is there no property search by address

    • @CostaRicaLaw
      @CostaRicaLaw  8 месяцев назад +1

      The use of addresses by street or avenue number and house number is not as common yet in Costa Rica and as a result you will not find searches by address instead you will need to know the property title number or the property survey number.

      once you find all that information, do you have to look somewhere else to find out if it's been listed for sale? @@CostaRicaLaw

      we women tell you where stuff is in relation to stores. You go two lights past Target and turn right. :) If a solar flare takes out GPS satellites, oldschool directions will still work@@CostaRicaLaw
