I really enjoyed your video of Samara. I went there with my best friend in 2019. I recognized many of the places there and just seeing it again brought so many happy memories. She has since passed away (2yrs ago), which was very devastating. We were in the muddle of planning another trip there, and a week or so after that, she was gone. I remember this pizzeria on one of the side streets, and just a short walk past it was the apartment building where we stayed. A little Italian man named Miguel owns it. He made us feel very welcome and at the end of our stay, we bought him a rose bush to plant in his beautiful garden. While we were in Samara, we rented a 4 wheeler side by side. Many adventures touring around. The beaches were fabulous, and the views from the mountains looking out over the sea were breathtaking. One of our excursions was into the mountains because she wanted to stop at this little store and drop off some things we brought for the children up there. A lady called MercedesRuns the store. A little bit of everything in it, and it was a great place to wait for the rain to stop. Everyone in Somara was so kind to us, and we both wished we could have just stayed there. It was hard to say goodbye. Maybe one day I will go again.
Thanks for watching and sorry to hear about your friend. You should definitely go again sometime. We have a newer walkthrough video and plenty of other videos around Samara as we lived there for 7 years. We also have our vacation rentals Sea Casa there. Glad you enjoyed the video and one of the goals of these videos is to do exactly what it did for you, bring back memories.
I lived in Esterones de Samara for three years and watching this makes me so lonesome for my adopted home... thanks for the tour, a few changes since I was there last a year ago. Hoping to get back this year!
That's my son and I at 11:33 😄 I've only seen a few of your videos and had a hunch that it may have been you but chickened out cause I didn't know how to say what I wanted in Spanish 😂 (in case it wasn't you). Playa Samara has been amazing!
Another great video, as always. Love all the info you provide. Cant wait till we can explore Samara. Due to covid our 11 day trip to CR is now cut down to a 6 day trip, which doesnt leave us time to road trip down there😥. Next year for sure.
Awesome video as always guys! Hate that ya stopped short of Locanda just past El Ancla! I know it's not tico-owned but we had a couple fantastic meals there. :) Miss that Chifrijo from El Ancla more than just about anything aside from maybe the Casados from La Perla. Thanks for you videos, and hoping to be back early 2022 for a bit. Cheers!
Ya I'm not a fan of locanda! As mentioned I was just showcasing the places that we've worked with and important things to note. Definitely let us know when you're coming! Saki arm wrestling on the beach here!
Hey, my partner and I are going to be in Samara on the 20th through the 25th. Sorry we didn’t know about your seacasa, but next time we will look at booking with you. Hope to run into you, maybe we could meet up and buy you a coffee at Iona Café. :) Can you recommend any places to get the best local fruit? I’m vegan and one of my main reasons for coming to Costa Rica, this is my third time, is to get the best fruit I can find. Thanks for your help and great video!
I just arrived today in Playa Samara I came here to body surf And when I looked at the ocean there were no waves. After lunch and checking in to my hotel There were excellent waves. A couple broke head high.
Returning March 14th through the 21st. Looking forward to a couple of the places you mentioned. Really enjoyed the farmers market on Saturday morning last time I was there and looking forward to ionic cafe.
@@TheDufresnes i don't know, 100+ monthly rentals on Airbnb in Samara that are nice but If the short term is working why change it. It's a good strategy and use of the containers for income. Long term Samara will just get more and more noticed...good videos 👍
Hi, I follow you and the videos you make are really interesting, I also intend to move to Costa Rica, I'm looking for the ideal place and one of these is Samara. I plan to open a small business, nothing complicated. that it gives me a living, because the reason why we flee from the West is precisely the chaos, the stress, in short, this lifestyle has become unsustainable for us; we are looking for a more holistic, more "human" way of living and I am sure that Costa Rica is right for us. In this regard, I wanted to ask you for some information if you can. We would first come to spend some time to see and understand everyday life as it unfolds, and in fact I would like to know how much a stay with you in Seacasasamara for a few months might cost, and if there are possibilities of investing in some small bar or tourist activity, even taking considering taking over from an existing one. Thank you very much if you can help me. Pura Vida!!! I forgot...I'm writing from Italy

Great Walk Thru. So informative.
Thanks!

Thanks!
The sound of flip flops is music to me ears ♥️
Had dinner with The Dufresnes at El legarto tonight, food is unbelievable. The steak is well above a steak house, even in western Canada.

Quel est l'aéroport pour Samara
Et combien le coût pour la nourriture et la bière
Il y a beaucoup de taxes
Merci
Libéria est l'aéroport le plus proche

Right on, the shipping containers are $2k a month though??
They are short term rentals, some people do choose to rent long term which is more then $2000
@@TheDufresnes Okay, yeah I guess best short term. Can get a house for $2k
If you can find one, there is way too high of demand now and prices have gone way up. It also depends on what type of lifestyle you want to live.
