Thanks for the video! Its very therapeutic for me especially today! There was a big tornado 🌪 that passed through Tennessee and lots of homes and businesses in my area were destroyed. 😢 6 people died and being that it was so close to where I live, still feeling anxious 😟. This is very relaxing! Thanks Chris & Shayna ❤❤.
Oh no! That's terrible! We are glad you're ok! Another reason to move to Vietnam... Thanks for watching as always and it's also nice that you always recognize the fact that it's both Shayna and I that make up this channel. Pura Vida
@TheDufresnes you're very welcome 🙏!! Yes, I know you both make up this channel; the ones that don't are ignorant 🙄! Shayna does an awesome job behind the camera! She's very talented. My husband is actually moving back to China 🇨🇳 for a bit as the job in Vietnam 🇻🇳 unfortunately didn't work out! Once he's here, we are going to decide where we want to settle down. Pura Vida and looking forward to you and Shayna's next video! 🥰
We love Samara but have only visited short term. Spending a few days there in February and may look for a longer term (1month) stay in the future. It's small and clean, and the beach is amazing.
Thank you very much for the Tour of Samara, it has improved since me and my Brother Ike were there the last week of July/23 for Jesse & Kim's Wedding. Thanks for this Video, great job.
Excellent overview. I'm staying right across the street from Roots Bakery and this video provided a great reference of that area especially since Google Street view is unavailable.
Thanks for the video. My family spent 6 months in Samara close to 10 years ago. Looks like a lot of large businesses have moved in. Hope to move there permanently one day.
Thanks, Azura isn't actually considered staying in Samara, it's an all inclusive first of all, you missed an opportunity to spend less and get a full experience by booking elsewhere. and it's not actually in Samara, it's on the outskirts of Torito. Anyone who reads this comment, book at Sea Casa and eat at the local restaurants it's less expensive and you get more of a cultural experience.
I can see that Samara has grown a lot since my 3 day stay at Sea Casa last year, but it’s looking pretty cool, just as I remember. Limeys has the best Fish & Chips on Fridays, and thanks for the tip on that when I was there. I still wear their t-shirt I bought. Also, the steak I had at “El Lagarto” was one of the best I’ve had in CR, and I sat at a table right next to the beach to watch the sunset. 👍 Hanging out with the two of you at Cocos drinking craft beer is a great memory, as well as the very special drone video you made for me at one of the nicest, quietest beaches in CR “Playa Carrillo”. I still show it to different people. So good!! Samara beach is great with all the cool restaurants you can desire. Thanks for hanging out with me and Ed at the Whale Tail Brewery 🍻 when you came to Uvita this year, a special memory for sure. This town, after nearly 2 years of living here is growing rapidly as well, which brings well needed employment to the local Costa Rican people, many of who are now my friends. Take care my friends, enjoy this last Christmas in CR, and Bon Voyage. ❤
Thanks, not sure about Yoga retreats but a lot of people do yoga here. You should book a stay with us, we are only 900 meters from the beach and have very comfortable, clean and well equipped rentals. visit our website. www.seacasasamara.com
I just got back to CA after two months house-sitting for my former neighbors in Esterones...but still had to watch this because even though it's only been a few weeks, I'm already homesick for this area!
That's one of the reasons we started making the walk through videos, for people like yourself that miss it to be able to virtually wander through again.
We are a family (with two children aged 2 and 5) who after watching your videos have chosen to go live in Samara for a year. Can you recommend any area of the town to live as a family? What do you think is the best way to look for a rental house for several months? Thank you very much for your work!!
would you recommend this town for a middle age Canadian woman to come spend a month? Scoping out place to move to in a year or two. I really want community/expat community as I am coming alone. Thanks. Love yer vids.
Thanks for watching our videos and we are glad that you enjoy them! And absolutely you should come and also you should book your month long stay with us here at our amazing Sea Casa Vacation Rentals of course so that you can have your best and most comfortable stay in the perfect location! We can also take some time to chat with you about life here, answer any questions, and help you with anything you may need during your stay. We hope to be your hosts! 😊 www.seacasasamara.com
Thanks for watching, Shayna and I both run this channel not just me. We made a video about it which you can find under our videos tab about why we are leaving. No three 10 story condos being built. Not sure what Facebook group you're getting your info from? And even if someone did build three 10 story condos, good for them. Everywhere has development and everyone should have the opportunity to live in Costa Rica just like everyone now and in the past.
I was about to ask if Samara is walkable, but I would assume so as you're doing this walk through lol. Where would you recommend I look for rentals here? I'd likely want to rent for a week & if I love it, stay long term. Do you have any WhatsApp or Facebook groups I can look in? And in terms of the area of Samara, which is best for someone without transportation to get to the stores / market & also to the beach? Thank you in advance for your help!
If you have a bunch of questions, you are welcome to take advantage of our consultation service that we offer and we will spend our time helping you. You can email us for details seacasasamara@gmail.com
We're still running it, it's business as usual until it sells. If it doesn't sell before we leave in June, our friend will property manage the whole things for us. Are you looking to book a stay in one of our beautiful Sea Casa Vacation Rentals? Or maybe you want to purchase it and make it yours? 😁
My guess as to why you are leaving Samara/CR is the insane influx of foreigners with way too much money…or as the Tico’s put it “gentrification”. I am utterly disappointed with what is happening in Samara and the whole of CR.
You 100% guessed wrong, sorry! As much as you probably wish that's the reason why we are moving, it's not even close but nice try 🥴 We made a video as to our reasons for leaving, clearly you missed it!
No I didn’t miss it, but sometimes people won’t state the actual truth, and after seeing first hand what it and the rest of CR has and is becoming, I drew that conclusion. Since none of what’s happening here ever gets mentioned in your videos (or very little at best), you can’t really blame me for drawing that conclusion.
Ya, we can and will absolutely blame you for making a lousy uneducated assumption of the type of people we are and what we are doing with our lives. Your negativity sucks, truly. We ALWAYS state the truth in our videos as to who we are, what we do, and what we think. Our channel and videos have nothing to do with whatever you are complaining about. How stupid. Go pound sand, seriously.🙄
Pretty sure we wouldn't be on our way to a city of 15 million people in a few months if we were concerned about whatever you are blabbing about. Why don't you go ahead and make your own videos about your "concerns in Costa Rica"? We're honestly not interested in this behavior you're displaying and really could care less. Live where you want to live and stop complaining about useless shit. If you're going to complain, move. There's a big wide world out there!
I was there 4 years ago. Very lovely and warm.
We were there last year and will be back there in about a week. Great small town, chill vibes.
Thanks for the video! Its very therapeutic for me especially today! There was a big tornado 🌪 that passed through Tennessee and lots of homes and businesses in my area were destroyed. 😢

The best beach in Costa Rica!

Thanks for the tour! Very informative. We will miss your video's of C.R.
Thanks, yes of course they will be missed but it's time to experience and show more of the world.
Excellent overview. I'm staying right across the street from Roots Bakery and this video provided a great reference of that area especially since Google Street view is unavailable.
Great video, Chris! We love Samara from staying at Sea Casa, your videos and you and Shayna! Can’t wait to see you soon!!
Thanks! Yes we look forward to seeing you 2 as well.
Thanks! This video makes me miss Sámara.
Thanks for the video. My family spent 6 months in Samara close to 10 years ago. Looks like a lot of large businesses have moved in. Hope to move there permanently one day.
Thanks for watching, it's definitely different than when you were here.
great job.stayed in samara for 2 weeks at the azura all inclusive last april, samara is the most chiling and beautiful beach, that weve been to.
Thanks, Azura isn't actually considered staying in Samara, it's an all inclusive first of all, you missed an opportunity to spend less and get a full experience by booking elsewhere. and it's not actually in Samara, it's on the outskirts of Torito. Our go to beach in Samara is Playa Carillo. And we love the food/ambience at Gusto Beach. Great video!

This is very helpful. We are going to CR this month of May, and will be staying in Samara for few days!

Thanks. Good video. What day of the week is the farmer's market?
I just got back to CA after two months house-sitting for my former neighbors in Esterones...but still had to watch this because even though it's only been a few weeks, I'm already homesick for this area!
That's one of the reasons we started making the walk through videos, for people like yourself that miss it to be able to virtually wander through again.
It's appreciated! I even saw several people that I know in this video, which was cool too.@@TheDufresnes

Hi, thank you for your videos. I didn't quite hear the name of the wine shop. I am trying to keep up with all the names you have mentioned. Cheers
Beautiful video! Is the agua de pipa guy still there biking around with his cooler of coconuts? He's awesome!
🤦♂️Did you not watch the video? I say hi to him by the farmers market and he makes his pipa fria sound.
How about public bus system in samara, is the bus stop easy accessible ?
Haha we are finally here , thanks to your videos we choose Samara
Even saw you drive by but was going to fast to say hi

Awesome, enjoy Samara and yes maybe we'll bump into each other in town
Wow you’re leaving Samara, the end of an era!

Yo Chris, where are y'all headed next? Is there a developer trying to build three 10-story condo towers in Samara? Hope y'all are well!

Is Coco's open?
When we were in samara last January they were closed the entire 10 days we were there.
Hope to have some beers there in a few weeks
Yes they are open
did it take some time for your tummy to get used to the food etc?
Cocos had the best food ❤
Btw have you sold? As I note you say your definitely leaving?
Haven't sold yet but yes we are leaving for sure. June at the latest.
@@TheDufresnes if you don't sell? Would you rent it or someone to manage it? We are no here and looking for potential ideas
If it doesn't sell before we go then we will be renting out all of the units and our friend will manage it
