    We just returned from our first vacay in Santa Teresa! We had a great time and are already planning our next trip
    there! I cannot thank you enough for your videos! Your walk throughs were incredibly helpful!! Y'all showed us
    the town and the shops/restaurants that were there. It helped us to be prepared for the dust (lol - the struggle is real!)
    and to know what was going to be near us. Your video on Isla Tortuga was great as well!! Thanks! Pura vida!

    Shocked. I was there many times for a couple of months from about 1990-2000. No paved roads, almost no commercial establishments but three or so local restaurants. No electricity till about 1992. Loved it. Not much of a speeding problems with unpaved road. I guess this is progress but I am really happy to have spent time there then

      @@TheDufresnes no. Shocked at the haphazard way it was done. No space for walkers and bicycles. It is a resort area. People should not be taking their life in their hands if they choose to move around the eco friendly way

    I’m from CR and other than nature and beach it looks like there’s nothing to see in ST. Unfortunately it seems the local municipality is not too worried about curb appeal and that’s one thing many little beach towns like this one could use along coastal areas in CR.

    It's a slice of paradise but the road through town sucks. So busy with traffic and locals driving WAY too fast. Zero shoulder to walk. It's sketchy in that regard. People need to SLOW down through town. The people walking alongside the road maybe have a 2-3 foot berth between them and cars or quads or buses. Should be the focus of infrastructure improvement. Too much fast traffic for this small of a town.

    Santa Theresa is a bit of a Gong Show. We have a house closer to Tambor and this whole area is the busiest I have ever seen it. Nice to visit ST, but i would never live there. KOOK'S smokehouse is a great place to eat at, besides Taco Corner! You can't see it during the day, but at night, tge hills are a light with houses!

    • @douglacoursiere2269
      @douglacoursiere2269 Год назад

      @@MrMacDracula The Gong Show is that there is crazy traffic, the roads are getting shittier, and there is too many people and homes for the infrastructure. It is not that I don't like Santa Theresa, it is just growing way too fast! I am not the only one that thinks this, it is talked about on the Penninsula, often.

      That's great we we just there in April and found most of the road not that bad. I guess it depends on what you compare to. If someone wants good roads then Costa Rica beach towns aren't the place to be. The paved section started just after katana and there is no heart of town in Santa Teresa it's one long strip as you know. If you don't like a little bit of dust or mud we've heard new York has a lot of concrete

    Great video! Im curious if anyone has any experience with flying (im in US and want to go to Costa Rica) with young toddlers….I’m nervous for the traveling part. Also, a single mother at that. So would be traveling with two toddlers, alone. Wondering if it’s safe to travel alone to Costa Rica with children. I’m sure it is and you just have to be smart. Just like everywhere else.

      Lots of people travel here with their kids! including us, kids love it here because of all the wildlife and the beaches. Where we live in Samara there are a lot of families and we have the safest swimming beach in Costa Rica, of course you still have to be cautious when in any ocean.

    • @arte7sol
      @arte7sol 2 года назад +1

      Costa rica is super safe. But with kids I wiuld say go to Tamarindo not Santa Teresa. The roads, well you see. And although Tamarindo maybe similar, I saw families there and see a better selection to just chill or be with young kids.

    • @TheDufresnes
