I think Target optical (and probably other places) will adjust the width/tightness of your glasses for free, regardless of where you bought them! Getting those chunky frames adjusted could definitely help with the comfort
Most places will for free! Some people don’t even know that you can get new screws and nosepads for free. I used to work at LensCrafters but I think this is done at most places I’ve gone even if you didn’t buy the glasses there
I work at an eye doctors office and eye glass store. Definitely go get them adjusted by an optician! They know the tips and tricks to get them to fit your face!
Pretty sure having sensory issues is 100% normal and not annoying! Some of mine include: polyester sweat syndrome, sequins hurting my armpits, hate of tight neck holes, uncomfortable with boots or sandals with back zips across heel area 😅
I sometimes make a date to wear things if I notice them sitting in my closet untouched. Even if it's just wearing them around the house it breaks the ice. Personalizing things can also help. Maybe experiment with putting some pins on your green jacket. Or bows on your trainers.
I relate to your struggles with uncomfortable clothes, itchy or weird fabric, or anything pulling on my hair. Let it go! Love your hair color and it looks so healthy! So glad you are feeling better.
I was thinking same thing 😂. Anything will touch if they both rest on same area. I can’t even take this seriously….i regret this bag bc the strap touches my hair when they both sit on my shoulder 😂
I would love a follow up video with the opposite concept- recent favourite items you're really glad you bought Also, glad you're feeling better, wishing you a good recovery ❤
me too! my main thing I CANT stand is when fabric is that slinky hyper soft material like some Walmart dresses and the American Eagle soft and sexy t shirts. It makes me feel like I’m wearing a glasses cleaning cloth
Person who wears glasses daily here make sure you are buying the right size it will usually will say what size “small, medium, large” etc. Also they offer anti glare usually as an add on. Eye buy direct always has deals too soo make sure to look out for that.
I wonder for the bag if you put one of those seatbelt comfort things where your hair lays that would help at all. The green jacket is so cute, but if you think u wear it as a different color, you could dye it.
The reason you had trouble with the boot has to do with a high instep/arch and the diameter of the ankle of the boot. I have and incredibly high arch and can't wear any slip on boot, which kills me because I want a chunky Chelsea boot, I have to have a zipper that goes all the way down and even with it I can't always get the boot zipped.
I think I remember her saying she had incredibly flat feet, which is why she didn’t like the ballet flat trend. It made her feet look flatter. Could be both very flat feet and very high arched feet both have issues
How interesting! I do usually only wear boots with zipper! I have no arch at all so maybe my foot like couldn't bend how it needed to to be able to easily put on/off the boot possibly 🤷🏼♀
That kinda big wide strap will probably tugs at hair mo matter what the bag. What i do just gather all hair with one hand before having the bag strap placed on shoulder. After the strap already on the shoulder, release the hair. That way the strap won't tug the hair.
i'm so similar to you in clothes!! i need things to be absolutely amazing and perfect or else it's terrible. it is good to trust your discernment with clothing, it makes you a more conscious shopper and overall it's good to listen to your body
I highly recommend trying on glasses before you buy them you wear them everyday so they need to be comfy. also it’s worth knowing your glasses measurements. If you look on the arm the glasses there’s three sets of numbers. The first one is lens size , middle one bridge width, last one is the length of the arms. For me I have a small nose so I need a bridge width of 15/16mm for those glasses to be comfy. Helps you narrow down when your trying.
I have a pair of Fryes that have legit made me cry when trying to get them off and on. Usually when I am in a particular hormonal phase, but still - for a brand with a good rep, they have a major design flaw.
You are highly sensitive, and that's just fine. I agree; that green jacket is not your color. I'm sorry to hear about your fall and hope you're better soon.
I wonder if your hair gets a little bit longer the baggu strap will more crease and fold the hair instead of tug? Like pressing on the middles of a tress rather than the end
Fryes are AWESOME but they are also legendarily hard to get on! They're almost impossible to get on or off if you wear them with bare feet (hint, just don't). Even with slippery socks they are nutso hard -- but they do eventually break in, and then they are irreplaceable.
Alexa🌞: Thx for sharing the reasoning behind your regrets. Sometimes there are simply subtle things about an item that don't always hit us until we get home & try to live w/it😂. Feel your struggle, with you 💯% on the sensitivity factor. Weight for me in eyeglasses & fabric can make all the difference on the world to my comfort level. So can flexibility. While I love a bit 🤏 of tailoring, structured garments can sometimes feel far too constrictive. Yuck on scratchy, irritating material or fabric that doesn't breathe. Hair pulling in anything is a big no-no. Sorry to hear about your fall. 🙏🏾Praying for a swift & full recovery. Blessings! 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
I have the tortoiseshell square glasses from Zenni and they have metal earpieces so they’re a lot lighter and more comfortable, similar style. ! I think I paid like $40 total with prescription
I thrifted those Frye boots for $24 and I love them, I usually am pretty sensitive to sensory things too but I am able to get them on and off fine. They are a little heavy in the sole to me though
The pair she had were slightly irregular….i have ten pairs of these boots…mostly vintage. I have a high instep and never had an issue. Socks curling my toes….yes.
Thank you for talking about that denial phase where you got something that is not right for you but you just don’t want to accept that it doesn’t work… I feel like the most shame is built around that denial phase (for me). It was kinda cool to hear you talk about that so I don’t feel too weird anymore :)
An optician can adjust the arms on you glasses. Also the numbers on the arm tell you the size usually length nose bridge and frame size across the face. Might help for future purchases
Hey, do you think it would be worth getting the prescription lenses taken out and replaced with clear lens or even anti glare? Also like others have said they could perhaps be adjusted? 13:10
I’ve been after air rifts for Y E A R S! I tried a pair directly from Nike about two or three years ago and you’re so right about them feeling sort of… medical. The pairs I love are always close to vintage but as you already highlighted talking about the boots, it’s hard to want to take the plunge on a pair of shoes if you don’t know how they’re going to fit… and waiting to sell them for ages. I’ve had so many interesting sneakers/flats bookmarked for years but not been in thr financial position to take the risk and now they’re very en vogue and the prices have more than quadrupled!
for the nike "tabis" sneakers, i do find myself struggling too to style it for everyday wear, for me because of the color way it's two tone (black and white) but when i got a white pair, i find it sooo easy to style and wear day to day and i change from air rift (like yours) to aqua rift which the silhouette is more chunkier and maybe idk it's because i'm wearing a lot of thick and chunky shoes so i find it easier for me to style and it's the colors too ofc soo maybe you could get a white aqua rift version if you love the shoes🤍🤍🤍
You can get the Nike tabi’s in lots of different materials, i have some in denim! You may enjoy the satin style ones - as I reckon it’s mostly the colour that makes the Velcro seem like a brace. If not rebook did a collab with Margiela making tabi trainers ! ♥️😀
I watch a streamer couple who one of them wears glasses and the other doesn't, and they've adjusted their lighting to defuse and block the reflection at the spot where the glasses wearer sits. I've also seen a different glasses wearing streamer stretch a white tshirt over their light box to help soften it
I’ve been wearing Frye Harness boots for years. Best boots ever. There are “irregulars”….mostly made in Mexico. The pair you picture are irregular….obviously. Usually it’s the stitching on the front….one having two rows of stitching the other having three. I was looking at a pair on eBay…multiple photos…none showing them facing forward. I asked the seller the question about the stitching and the post was taken down. Beware.
Have you ever heard of the TakeBack Bag from For Days?? You pay $20 and you get a big bag to put clothes in to send back to their facilities to be recycled including clothes that are stained/ripped/etc. and you can put shoes and things in there as well!! I do them a lot and I think that’d be a really good way for you to declutter and not worry about whether you’ll be able to get rid of things or not! :)
I love these talking style of videos! I honestly haven’t been really into thrift with me’s lately bc I’m trying to not over consume/ feel fomo. Whatever you do I’m sure we’ll love it 🥰 get well soon!! 🌞❤️🩹
If you search for "shoulder strap pads" or "bag strap pads" you might be able to rescue the bag strap catching on your hair issue! (I'd get the kind that slide over the strap not velcro around if you can as velcro might catch worse). A smooth leather (or similar) pad is way less likely to catch than that ribbed nylon.
I’d like to,find a shoulder strap that when worn cross body hangs on the shoulder not on the neck. Like a shoulder cup….maybe a clip on. Shark Tank here I come.

This is not gonna make absolute sense but we called those sneakers pezuñas in Spanish (from Argentina and Uruguay) because they look like the feet of cows. Those were really big here in the 2000s.
i have a very hard time with clothing. i love and hate. i am particular too and since i buy things online/handmade or thrifted i cant try them on and then you see mee nit picking on them and reselling. elastics and fabric choice is a bit issue for me >_
Watching before work and I was finally going to wear my glasses (exact same frame but in a different color) to work despite only feeling comfortable in contacts in professional settings… I completely agree on the accessory aspect lol I feel cute as everyday wear but not always appropriate for all settings 🥲
I guess if you've just had a few fashion regrets over the past few years, you're doing well. I am glad you took my advice about trying on Frye boots in person, but still, ah we tried. The glasses look cute on you; I'd try getting them adjusted. Plus, they seem to fall down your nose a little when you put them on. I wonder what could be done about that. The shot of the jacket made me think, here's a situation where "one in, one out" would come into play. When you bought that green *thing* you could've asked, okay, which jacket am I going to give away in exchange for this one? If the answer is NONE, then think twice!! Of course I need to follow my own advice, I am similarly hopeless, lol.
If I had $40,000, I would buy 100 bags on kislux instead of designer luxury items. The money can be a down payment on a house, but it can't just be a package.
Definitely get your glasses adjusted at the optometrist for free! My glasses also used to hurt my head and the optometrist will make them the perfect fit for your head for free!
I think Target optical (and probably other places) will adjust the width/tightness of your glasses for free, regardless of where you bought them! Getting those chunky frames adjusted could definitely help with the comfort

My god, you just cracked the code for me. Will try this out.
I relate to your struggles with uncomfortable clothes, itchy or weird fabric, or anything pulling on my hair. Let it go! Love your hair color and it looks so healthy! So glad you are feeling better.
That hair caught in the bag strap is so stupid. That's not the bag's fault. It's just the strap and the hair just exist at tge samr position.
I was thinking same thing 😂. Anything will touch if they both rest on same area. I can’t even take this seriously….i regret this bag bc the strap touches my hair when they both sit on my shoulder 😂

Me neither. Too much of a fight, and I’m going to miss the bus so I just go for slip ons.
Hope you’re recovering nicely! Thanks for another great video about something I struggle with too!
I’m neurodivergent. The whole bit about the boot fit and the cat mom shirt…..I got secondhand twitch from it. So relatable.
Those bag straps also tug at my hair, just a few pieces and it drives me nuts. I even have a backpack with the same straps and it does happen.
