Lol I went downstairs looked at that dryer and thought to myself "Danielle you took it too far, you must be stopped" 😆🤣 I took the DIYing too far this time LMBO The dryer is outta here. 🤣🥰🥰
Working on my basement too, craft/sewing area, home office, laundry area and utility room with totes of holiday decorations, Christmas trees, etc. My brain just goes nuts looking at it, trash, recycle, donate and keep plugging away at it. You’re doing a great job but lots younger than I am. I used to think I was an organized minimalist….nope guessing I’m a maximalist 😂
Trash the dryer. No more diy. I'm in the process of getting rid of Christmas stuff I haven't used in 10 years. Feels so good to have empty bins. Good job on your basement. Keep up the good work.
Funniest shop w me of all time 😂😂 have u considered painting the basement sink? Maybe the stuff ppl use to paint a bathtub? Or just paint? Ditch the dryer! Please!😂😂
Oh wow....too funny..your 1st picture of your example of your basement remodel was the pic I had decided to go on for our basement transformation. Just have the lights to hang to complete it. Get rid of the dryer....your future self will Thank you 😉 Everything is looking great. Such a relief and feel so much more relaxed too I'm sure. It's always so satisfying. Plus, looking back over the before and afters to remind yourself how far you've come and your accomplishments. Wonderful!🎉👏👏👏🥰🥳
YOU get rid of that dryer today!! Don’t you dare make a table out of it. Omg I’m losing control just thinking you might make a table out of it. Hugs from Southwest Florida! 🌴🌴🌴
😆🤣🤣 I went too far with the dryer...I went downstairs looked at it and thought "Danielle you must be stopped 😆" I promise I won't make a table out of it LMBO my sides hurt from laughing. It's gonna find a nice home in the scrap yard 😉😁 lots of love from MN 🥰😘
Scrap the dryer. If you don't have a truck, borrow one and take the dryer to the recycling or scrap yard. If your utility sink is concrete, try using original Pinesol and a stiff brush to clean it.. Great start in the basement, you worked it, girl!
Hi, Danni! Great job on the basement! Looking good! No, don’t keep the old dryer. You are never going to use it! I have to finish my basement next. Still have more stuff to declutter. I had an old clothing rod from the car that I put up over my folding table near my washer and I love it. After my clothes are dry I have hangers on the rod waiting. I fold everything else that doesn’t need to be hung. I have everything ready to be put away when I take them upstairs. Saves lots of walking up and down stairs. Love your shopping video!😂 Hugs to all! Your friend🥰👍💜
😭 seriously you're pulling at my heartstrings here! I can't tell you enough how much that means to me. Thank you friend. I'm so grateful you're here with me. Hugs 🥰
Fantasy projects!!!! Love it. I have quite a few that I will never do, except in my dreams. 😊 Perfect phrase. As a suggestion, you can donate socks and similar items to a homeless shelter if you wish. Loved your video, as always and how you make me laugh and smile a lot. Blessings!!! ❤❤❤❤
Hey Danielle! You should probably put a sealant on your basement floor first. It will keep the dust and dirt down. My dr said I don’t chemo because the tumour was so early. Yay!!’ “Tuck and roll” , “Hide and Seek”! 😂 Hilarious! You always make my day! “Mission Aborted”! 🤪 You’re the only utuber I don’t skim through and I’ve never unsubscribed and I never will! You’re my favourite! Let the dryer go. Lol Great job once more!
Hugs back from MN 🥰 And you are so sweet, thank you so much friend, i'm so happy your here with me & I really hop eyou like the basement series! And ya, I think I went a little overboard with the wanting to DIY the dryer...I took it too far LMBO 🤣🤣 I think its time to let that go HA! Thanks for watching ❤
I absolutely love vinegar, especially for laundry, I dont use fabric softener, I never really did, but when I would use it I noticed that the vinegar did a much better job getting rid of odors and making the clothes/towels/blankets softer. Vinegar is actually one of my favorite/top cleaners. But I didnt know it gets rid of lint, thats so cool. Always so happy to see you here with me Vivian. Hugs 🥰
I'm on the fence regarding vinegar added to a wash cycle, since I had read that vinegar wears away on certain clothing items. I still add it for sheets, towels, handtowels. Does anyone know if there's any truth to it deteriorating clothing over time?🤔
@@onimendez7735 I don't know but it rinses the soap completely out of the clothes which is why towels are much more absorbent, so over time soap can ruin some clothes.
Fantasy projects!! Boom! I totally get the concept of fantasy self, but when a creative person is ACTUALLY creative, there are things that are an excellent, do-able idea, but in reality will never happen. It just requires being really honest and realistic with ourselves. Thank you.
I seriously dont know what I was thinking, like what would i actually do with it 😂🤣🤣 I must be stopped, I went to far with the DIYing this time LOL I agree 1000% thank you for watching & being here with me friend 🥰🥰
So excited.. I feel like the basement makeover is going to be everything we hoped! Get rid of everything that isn't useful, beautiful or extremely sentimental and think how happy Ian will be to have a man cave. Also try neat vinegar on the bottom of the sink (you might need to let it sit overnight but it's worth a try) ❤
In the late 70’s I took my nieces to church to drop off for Sunday school. My car died. It was a standard shift I could usually pop the clutch & start it. Not this time. This is before cell phone’s. I was in my pajamas with fuzzy slippers and my old brown coat on. I had to go inside to use the phone. I’m on the phone with my sister cussing under my breath. Come get me!!! So embarrassing. I learned my lesson. Basement looks great.
Omg Im not Laughing 🤣 but omg that story just reminds me sooo much of me. Seriously that is something I would do and something that would happen to me, but I'm so sorry that happened, I'm sure that was just awful. I literally could write a book of the embarrassing things that I've done and things that have happened to me lol I'm considering sleeping in my actual clothes just so I don't look like that again 😆🤣 always so happy to see you here with me friend. Hugs 🥰🥰
I agree 💯 I went too far this time with the wanting to DIY everything 🤣 it's best that the dryer finds a nice home at the scrap yard lol always so happy to see you here with me friend. Lots of love 😘
girl get rid of the dryer! haha I would consider myself a moderate minimalist as well but mixed with the boho minimalist. That was an interesting article.
You are the absolute SWEETEST Rochelle, this made my holiday season! I am so happy you're here with me friend & I really hope you enjoy the basement series, its gonna be a lot, but it's sure to be a good time HA Happy Hanukah to you & your family, sending you lots of love this holiday season. 🥰🥰❤️
🤣 Same LMBO!!! I may even sleep in my actual clothes to make sure that never happens again (just kidding...maybe😆) because it'll definitely happen again HA! That unmatching outfit was an eye sore LOL. I really hope you like the basement series, thank you so much for watching & being here with me! 🥰
You can buy metal/appliance paint for the top of the working dryer. Basements are easy ti think there is alot of space. Clear out items that no longer serve you. Ie the old non-working dryer. Looks Great!!! Such an inspiration.
Ya I went too far this time with the dryer LMBO I took it too far with the wanting to DIY everything, like seriously what would I do with it 🤣 Yes its definitely time to say goodbye to the dryer. Thanks for watching & being here with me friend 🥰
The basement looks amazing! Awesome job clearing out the things you don't need. Including the old dryer. Let that go. You'll hate yourself if you keep it 😉
I have get rid of the old dryer! 😁 And the panel.. 😝 Just paint it all in fresh colours, the walls and the floor! It´s gonna be so great! 😘 With a nice rug and fabrics. Maybe you can paint the zink/ bucket too? With special paint for this purpose? The shelf was very nice with the new boxes! You did a great job! 🙂👍❤
YAY 🥳🥳🥳 I am so excited for you to check out this series, I really hope you like it! This is going to be my most challenging makeover yet, so we're really going to stretch the imagination on this one, should be a good time LOL always so HAPPY to see you here with me friend, thanks for watching 🥰🥰
Oh my girl, i know about the fantasy self so well!!! Nice job on decluttering the basement. I can't to see yoy through this journey. You've made amazing progress!!!!
Wow, the after is great! It will be so nice to get a couple of men together and get all of those things out that you want out once and for all. I'm happy for you.
Hi Danni your basement looks so much better well done! Get rid of the dryer don’t keep it.Looking forward to part 2 of your basement series have a great week ❤
Hi Danni! I've been watching your channel fier a while now, and I just wanted to say that I truly adore you. I have found so much incentive and inspiration from you. You get me, you know? Sometimes, even without formally meeting each other, we just clicked. Day by day, I'm getting stuff done.❤
This comment pulled at my heartstrings! You are so SWEET, thank you, I am so grateful you're here with me friend! I'm so happy we're on this journey together...we got this!!! Thanks for watching, sending lots of love 🥰🥰😘
Danni you are so funny. I love your videos and personality. The basement is looking so mu better already. Get rid of the dryer. When you paint the floor, maybe you can paint your utility sinks too, that would look so much nicer. I put essential oils in baking soda too. Keep up the great work. Love from Canada.
You are so dang sweet! Thank you, this seriously made my week! Ya I have no idea what I was thinking, seriously what would I actually do with that dryer, I took it too far this time with the DIYing, you all have knocked some sense into me 🤣I needed that! I think sometimes I just want to DIY stuff for a challenge HA! The dryer is outta here YAY! And I would love to paint the sink, those Utility sinks arent cheap so if I can pull of painting it that would be awesome. Im excited to paint the floor good gravy is it bad, I wish I could do more to the floors, but...one day. And good to know on the baking soda, im 'll be adding essential oils to mine. Thank you for watching & being here with me friend, I appreciate ya so much! Lots of love from your neighbor in MN 🥰🥰
You really need to check out drylok concrete floor paint. It paints and seals the cement at the same time, be sure to ask the paint store which is the proper roller. They also have one that can also be used on block walls. Of course you need to let the floor dry extra well before using. You won't be sorry.
I love your ideas for the basement, Danni. You did a great job decluttering because you made the space so much clearer just with this one clearing session. Personally, I would do yourself a favour and get rid of that broken drier and the fake panels from behind the wood burning fire. I think maybe you should paint the fake bricks on that fire surround a neutral colour and repaint the walls in an off white and your floor a dark colour that hides any dirt. If you have the funds I would also suggest dry walling the crawl space and add a door to make it into a proper decor specific storage closet.
Danni!! You already made so much progress. I loved all the before/after shots. I do not see why you cannot paint your utility sink.Just get the paint for cement and that will bring new life to it. It is amazing what a can/gallon of paint can do to something to freshen things up!! So excited for this basement series.😀😀
I used to have a double sink just like that in my first house I had in MN. I have never had one since 😢-those are so nice to rinse the icky off after a project-then your kitchen sink stays clean-they are near impossible to keep looking though.
The wood panel might fit under the stairs attached to the frame (on the inside of the wood) to hide the boxes from the lounge. It looks amazing so far 😊
I have been decluttering my grandmother's house since my grandfather passed away back in october. I definitely started two months before he passed but I have gotten easily 70 bags of donations out of their house and over 110 bags of trash/recycling out of their house. I am still not done either. they have so much stuff that my brain wanted to declutter and normally my grandfather would've stopped me but at the time I started, he was bed bound due to a broken hip and his muscles deteriorating making bed sores no matter how often we moved him. it has been hard since his passing, but the areas i have tackled are slowly coming together. i listen to ur video while i clean my grandmother's house.
Thank you for sharing and being real and relatable.🤗 I'm so encouraged to continue my decluttering when I see others on the same journey with the same issues. Years ago, I started buying totes by in the colors of the season to store my seasonal items. It doesn't matter how the bins are stacked, I know what's in them by the color of the tote (my Valentine/Mardi Gras/St. Patrick's/Easter tote has a mismatched lid 😆). I've started getting rid of Christmas decor that's been gifted to me that I don't like and NOT feeling guilty! 💯
If that sink is metal you might try using a fine grade sandpaper to remove the staining and get it back to it original finish. Then paint the outside in black to go with the shelves next to it. I actually do this with my kitchen sink about twice a year and it looks like new. Loved the video!
The utility sink looks like a normal utility sink that is old. Better than mine.... it is a 5 gal bucket strapped to the wall 😂 that is gooped up cause it started to leak. And in my old house, we had to have a dehumidifier in basement as well and the paint peeled up from floor as well.
Danni, what a wonderful video. You are so very creative and such a down to earth person. You really transformed your basement. Looking forward to your next video. Take care. Cookie in Mandeville Louisiana
My partner was watching over my shoulder and said, "Tell that broad no," to turning the old dryer into furniture. 😂 I say yes to adding essential oils to the baking soda you use for laundry. I've been doing that for years with no issue.
Remove and Paint the paneling and put it on the ceiling. Or put the one piece under the stairs where you store your stuff. If you sand and paint the paneling first. Ditch the dryer.
Yes I'm interested in basement makeover ever since you showed it before and cleared out some things. As others have said put the paneling on the stairs to hide your bins. Your washer isn't embarrassing, mine is terrible I use spray n wash and it has eaten away my paint, I'm going to get appliance paint and wire brush it and repaint it, it on the inside lid mostly. I use that affresh for washer about every 3 months. Does the dryer work? If so put it by the road and put free I guarantee someone will take it, even if it doesn't work many ppl like to tinker to get things working. Yes you can use essential oil in baking soda, I've tried it but couldn't really smell it in the done laundry? When you do your diy put open shelves above washer and dryer it's so convenient!
You did great! All the decor limited, labeled, and contained is a great moderate minimalist move. You are my favorite RUclipsr. The shop with me was amazing my favorite ever 😂😂😂🎉. It was so realistic to how Id feel trying to do that 😊keep being awesome!
I would love to hear about the different kinds of minimalists...I am one,...but I accumulate things around me that I actually need - it looks messy but I don't have anything I don't need....so that would be helpful!
Great video! 👍Bra AND shoes = success!😆 👍Dehumidifier tip, run the drain hose to your slop sink so you don’t have to dump the collection tank. 👍I use colored duct tape in a single stripe on my bins for the season… no painting, super cheap. 👍 👍 have your dad take the dryer or a scrap metal guy will take it for free to recycle it (meh on the repurpose 🙏sorry)
I kept all my school and university stuff until my mum died this year and I had to go through her stuff (I’d left it there!) I’m 38 now but I felt so bad letting all that work go - I think because I’d worked so hard on it. Never looked at it though 😂 xx
Just wanted to say hello and tell you that I literally LOL at your videos 😂😂. Also, very inspiring for my own decluttering. Thanks for sharing your experience ❤️
You are so adorable, I love the realist first outfit then the fully made up. 😂❤ I would love to see you try white eyeliner! It would be stunning on you!
🤣🤣🤣 the unmatching outfit LOL It took me an hour to fix myself 😆 I've never worn white eyeliner before but that sounds so pretty. To be honest I personally think I wear too much eyeliner/eye makeup, it doesnt look that much in person but on camera it looks like a ton. But i'm definitely gonna have to try white eyeliner now. Thank you so much for watching & being here with me friend, I appreciate ya so much! 🥰🥰
Loved the video! Just started watching and I have binged almost all the content. It’s so nice having someone talk at me while I clean and declutter! I was always a black eye liner millennial girly lol. Now it’s the white eye liner trend. I love it! Makes me feel younger. 😂 Excited to see more basement content!
I would NOT keep the old dryer. It is big and bulky. You do have that bench ( I think, beside your shelves with cleaning supplies) Get those cubes for it. Then you will have additional seating and storage. But I would not keep that big ol dryer, especially if you are trying to make things look more minimal or decluttered. It is just big. But the transformation so far is awesome. I can't wait to see when you get all the things hauled away.
I cannot get over the fact that you dropped your kids off wearing your pyjamas and make up free. Yet you got home and dressed up and put full make up to clean your basement. 🙈😀Great video as always Danni. Thank you for the laughs and motivation. Keep being you because you are one of a kind. ❤️
Your basement would be considered semi finish. Since all that needed is Floors and ceilings. And maybe some walls to divide the areas. Look forward to see how it turns out:). Also consider outdoor white paint for the sink.
That's super cool, I didn't know it was semi finished, I would love to put sheet rock up and finish the walls and floors. Its gonna take awhile for us to get there, but one day. But I'm excited to do a make over on it, I feel like the basement currently is wasted space. And yes that's a GREAT idea, I'm doing exactly that, paint the sink and paint it white. Love that. Thanks so much for watching and being here 🥰
I am so excited for you to check out this series Rae, I really hope you like it! Its gonna be a lot, a ton of work, but I will be so excited when its done! I feel like this basement is such wasted space currently, I would really love to do something cool with it! We're really going to stretch the imagination on this one. HA! Always so HAPPY to see you here with me friend! hugs xo
Hi Danni, have you thought of cleaning the sink with easy off bubble cleaner. I personally haven't tried it but according to the advert, it removes everything!
I havent but I need to try this! Ive never even heard of it, thank yo for sharing this with me, I might use this as a new product to try in the series. I hope it works that sink is awful, although I am thinking of painting too, if I can pull that off LOL 🥰🥰
Let go of the dryer...my parents kept an old freezer "for storage"..a big hulking upright. Don't do that!!! Especially since you have guys with muscles a available to you!
Hi in the uk you can buy re- enamel paint kits for sinks and bath tubs so you may be able to get something similar for your sink …. Just make sure you buy something that is suitable for submersion in water . Maybe hammerite metal paint if it’s a metal sink ❤
BIG thank you for letting me know this, because I have no idea how to paint that sink & im really hoping to paint it vs buying a new one. I wasn't sure you could, so this is awesome! I wrote this down so I know what to look for/get. Its a concrete sink so i'm hoping its easier to paint, although I dont know what im doing so it may be harder to paint lol. Thanks for sharing this with me I really appreciate it and thanks for watching & being here with me! Hi from MN 🥰
You are so real, relatable and wow, you are so beautiful! Oh and to top it off you are super entertaining!!😂 I’m excited for this series because I need the motivation. Your basement looks incredible. You’re making huge strides.👏 Oh and btw the old dryer… just like the song says… …let it go🙌 I can’t wait to see what else you do. Looking forward to future videos.😃
Okay this comment pulled at my heartstrings, you are so dang sweet and I appreciate you so much, I'm so grateful you're here with me friend 🥰 and ya I think I took it too far this time with the DIYing, yep I definitely took it too far like seriously what was I planning to do with it 🤣 it's outta here lol and now I have the frozen song stuck in my head which is a good thing...ha...let it go is right 😆I'm so excited for you to check out the rest of the series. Thanks for watching and being here with me. Hugs 🥰🥰

Well done funny one!
Absolutely fabulous!!! Your take the children to school outfits! Love the < Winter is coming
You really need to check out drylok concrete floor paint. It paints and seals the cement at the same time, be sure to ask the paint store which is the proper roller. They also have one that can also be used on block walls. Of course you need to let the floor dry extra well before using. You won't be sorry.
I painted my basement floor brilliant white. Amazing reviews from my friends!
Danni, You are delightful! I love your sense of humor, and I so look forward to your videos! :)
Looks great. You crack me up at the store. 😂 Another awesome video. Also, love the mommy outfit for driving the kids to school. I do that alot.
You did an amazing job!!! Wow!! That was a lot of work!! So proud of you!!! So glad the sock tip worked for you!!
I have gotten rid off so many things and honestly i don´t miss it at all!! I love the open spaces and the calmness of my home
Danni, you always motivate me! Thanks for being you!
Danni!! You already made so much progress. I loved all the before/after shots. I do not see why you cannot paint your utility sink.Just get the paint for cement and that will bring new life to it. It is amazing what a can/gallon of paint can do to something to freshen things up!! So excited for this basement series.😀😀
You can buy white appliance spray paint for your washer lid.
I’m love your basement really enjoyed it be glad when you get all the big stuff out of the house
I use my nonused dryer to store things ..I use the top of it for my basement "kitchenette". Double burner hot plate..water jug..
Find some used sinks to replace the sinks you have down there
I prefer the clear latch totes that are about 10 by 13 and 13 inches deep They stack really well.
Put the boxes under the stairs maybe? Also you did great!!!!
Basement looks so good
enjoying this series Danni, you did a great job, the basement looks so much better!🤩
Great work! It’s all looking great!
Danni, what a wonderful video. You are so very creative and such a down to earth person. You really transformed your basement. Looking forward to your next video. Take care.
Cookie in Mandeville Louisiana
Yah!! So good 👏👏👏!! I’m excited for this series. You did such a great job 👏. Haha … let it go… ( ps… dryer ) 🤍 love the new bins
My partner was watching over my shoulder and said, "Tell that broad no," to turning the old dryer into furniture. 😂
I say yes to adding essential oils to the baking soda you use for laundry. I've been doing that for years with no issue.
Remove and Paint the paneling and put it on the ceiling. Or put the one piece under the stairs where you store your stuff. If you sand and paint the paneling first. Ditch the dryer.
You know that is a great idea. She could use the paneling to cover up the storage area under the stairs and just paint it white.
There was a few times in University I went with PJ pants or top. Not a morning person so cold winter mornings were tough 😂
😆🤣🤣 you and I, we get each other lol 🥰
Faux brick behind the stove would be nice 😊
Awesome job! Thank you for taking us through your thinking process ❤
Would you be able to tack that wood panel up by the stairs to cover the cubby under the stairs temporarily?
Great job!!
You did great! All the decor limited, labeled, and contained is a great moderate minimalist move. You are my favorite RUclipsr. The shop with me was amazing my favorite ever 😂😂😂🎉. It was so realistic to how Id feel trying to do that 😊keep being awesome!
Great job!!! Danni !👍👍👍
Great job!
I would love to hear about the different kinds of minimalists...I am one,...but I accumulate things around me that I actually need - it looks messy but I don't have anything I don't need....so that would be helpful!
You did so good on the first part of the basement declutter. Can’t wait to see how the whole project turns out. I’ll be here for the whole thing.
I haven’t finished watching yet. You could use the sheet of paneling to close off the side of your stairs to hide your bin storage. Maybe paint it 😊
Great video!
👍Bra AND shoes = success!😆
👍Dehumidifier tip, run the drain hose to your slop sink so you don’t have to dump the collection tank.
👍I use colored duct tape in a single stripe on my bins for the season… no painting, super cheap. 👍
👍 have your dad take the dryer or a scrap metal guy will take it for free to recycle it (meh on the repurpose 🙏sorry)
Have you considered an area rug for down there? Maybe even one of those foam block puzzle thingys that stick together? Hope that makes sense! Haha
Hey my favorit happy girl!!!
Nooooooo I’m late to tell you that you’re fabulous 😂❤❤❤ yay!!! Another video and you put the Cherry on my evening! lol Love ya girl!!!!!!
Great idea of painting the sink. I think that'd make a big difference
Love that. Thanks so much for watching and being here 🥰
@@danniraearranged just make sure it's outdoor paint or it will start to chip not long after you paint it.
Hey Danielle…I’m so excited for this series! I think you will feel a weight lifted getting the basement under control! Ditch the dryer girl 😂
Can’t wait to see this. You have so much more room than I do. Enjoy the day.
I am so excited for you to check out this series Rae, I really hope you like it! Its gonna be a lot, a ton of work, but I will be so excited when its done! I feel like this basement is such wasted space currently, I would really love to do something cool with it! We're really going to stretch the imagination on this one. HA! Always so HAPPY to see you here with me friend! hugs xo
You are a such a hoot. Thanks for making me smile. ❤
That is everything, Im so glad I could make you smile! Thanks for watching & being here with me friend! Hugs 🥰🥰
Especially since you have guys with muscles a available to you!
another great vid- love the shopping trip- I have a friend that you remnded me of
Hi in the uk you can buy re- enamel paint kits for sinks and bath tubs so you may be able to get something similar for your sink ….
@@danniraearranged the other option if it’s concrete would be swimming pool paint
You are so real, relatable and wow, you are so beautiful!
Oh and to top it off you are super entertaining!!😂
I’m excited for this series because I need the motivation.
Your basement looks incredible. You’re making huge strides.👏
Oh and btw the old dryer… just like the song says…
…let it go🙌
I can’t wait to see what else you do.
Hugs 🥰🥰
