Thanks so much, CiCi.. I dearly love that I found your channel - moved back from China to Europe and miss all the wonderful food and healthy/beauty options... Have been already afraid I couldn't stick to my routines and loose my wonderful skin... And now - finally I learn it to do on my own, thanks to you!
Tnx for ur informative video. Just like to ask: do u take it on empty stomach? Also after taking it, any foods to avoid? Also, can u take breakfast after taking it? Tnx, in advnced for ur reply! :-)
I'm from Colombia, I live now in Florida USA, I went to Costco and trying to buy ingredients to do a cleansing of the body and start a good diet, I came across a swallow nest beverage case of 6 bottles. I was expecting something like raw egg, when I was younger I used to drink raw egg with Malta drinks for energy and protein recharge. When I got home I opened the bottle, the smell went right into my nose and made me gag, I'm sorry, I tried taking two sips without smelling it but it was really hard to swallow them, anyways I did, now I'm looking for ways to prepare this beverage so it tastes better, do you have any advice?
Thanks so much for sharing. I didn't know any off this stuff. Wonderful presentation. Is this one of your secrets besides qigong that keeps you young and pretty?
Thank you for this interesting recipe CiCi - as always. I wonder how does it taste like? Does the nest have a taste or texture that could be compared with any American food? I've never seen anything like that before. To be honest I didn't know you could eat bird's saliva
Victoria Klishyna The taste is very mild, almost no taste on its own. The texture is unique. It almost feels like tiny pieces of jello, but also has some chewiness to it. It’s a great delicacy indeed. :)
Veritas, The bird’s nest that I used is a different type of product, which doesn't need to be soaked, and only requires 15 mins of cooking time. Normally, people soak it for hours to expand the bird’s nest and make it soft. I find it best to add the sugar later on in cooking. If you like, you can also add it in the beginning.
@@greaterbayareahero1401 Hi! The product I used is different than the conventional bird’s nest. It doesn't have to be soaked. All you need is 15 mins to completely cook it.
Sino po ba May alam ng buyer bumili ng birdsnest marami kasi kami dito .malapit kasi sabahay namin ang kweba.nahihirapan kac aku ng buyer.please paki tulong naman
This soup is usually consumed only by the affluent people. The ordinary people would substitute it for another kind of soup called snow fungus which is more affordable. Real Bird nest is very expensive because it is collected in caves. It is very risky and difficult to get but nowadays people build a building for the birds to come and build their nests inside the brick buildings. So it is easier to be collected n the price is not so steep.
Thank you for joining me everyone! I hope you all enjoy this episode. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.😊

Hi! Can I cook the goji berries with the birds nest or would the goji berries affect the nutritional benefits of the birds nest if cooked together? :)
You can cook them together. It just the goji berries might become too soft and squishy. That’s why we usually add that at the end. 😊
I'm having a hard time getting over the bird saliva part. The things done for beauty
Hi Cici li, where can I buy good bird nest? Which brand is good?
I tried this one before. They are pretty good. goldennest.com/pages/simply-swift-swallow-birds-nest
is there a need to soak the bird's nest for a few hours before double boiling it ? also can I put the rock sugar at the start rather than at the end ?

You also need to tell the people that after you soak it for 4 hours you need to pour the water away.

It doesn't look like it has much flavour, just sayin
The taste of bird’s nest soup is delicate and light. It doesn't have any strong flavors in it.
I don't see the appeal, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other foods with the same nutritional value.
