      is dropshipping ethical?

    • @georgiaanimated
      @georgiaanimated  4 года назад +2

      I’ve honestly never looked into it, I’d rather make money using my own products or services so it’s up to you, drop shipping doesn’t really sit right with me 😅

      I am considering a youtube channel in the future (got to finish my PhD before jumping in). Is it bad algorithm-wise to have a lot of different areas for videos? So, some speed paints, some tutorials, some about education (Im an art teacher), some working with glass, some painting etc etc. I don't think I could focus on one specific area for long.... Do you have to have separate channels for the different themes?

    I do commissioned artworks and used to use the money I earned to buy art materials for traditional art but now I’m trying to save up for an ipad 8th gen and a appel pencil! I’m tooooo far from my goal this year but I’m dedicated to achieve it❤️

    Similar to commissions is having a small catalog of available to purchase items you can push on social media. Along with optional add-ons, like fancy mats or framing. Make sure your art fits standard frames in advance, many artists don’t consider customer convenience when starting their creative fugue.
    I used to work convention art shows back in the day, and hand-colored prints were very big. That is, black and white base prints finished off in color with paint, pencils etc.. Some of these were customizable in terms of effort and materials. I can think of some artists who made many in advance of shows, and these prints just flew out of their portfolios. Another artist made generic (but not boring) space paintings with nebulas, planets (lots of lens airbrush lens flares, bokeh) etc. as backgrounds against which he would finish off at a table to your desire with characters, spaceships and the like. Such Airbrush detail can be very quick, cheap, and effective, artist considered that his secret weapon. People loved the combination of customization of a known product quality, like a print or finished background with choosing colors and other details for themselves.
    Another artist I know wore her gallery of tiny paintings (with brooch pins on the back ) and dolls and sold them off her shirt. She had business cards and qr code brochures for the idly curious to access later.
    Just some ideas for you.

      You’re welcome, I’ve seen a million ideas since the early 80s, maybe I should start a RUclips channel, lol. But having some finished items to sell is easier than commissions in some ways, you don’t have to wait to make them, you can use spare time. And it can be smart to figure out some aspect of your commission, whether a pose, color combination, lighting effect or whatever, that you can use again in your work going forward. That gives you more motivation to finish than just money. Best wishes!

    Thank yoy for the info! I did all of those at timrs, none worked for me to be honest. Sometimes people buy a couple of stickers from my redbubble and that's all. What helped when I was a student most was streaming on Twitch. People would come and go, subscribe, give some bits etc. and at one point I paid my rent with that money! Helped me survive. I just streamed my homeworks (I attended art school) Probably, streaming on RUclips is similar too. I'm still struggling to get my RUclips started. Maybe one day I can :)

    How should one go about promoting and selling commissions?

  • @JustFrugalMe
    @JustFrugalMe 4 года назад +2

    I am a fan of dropshipping. Because of it business model that allows you to sell and ship products you don’t own and don’t stock.

    Hey,I came across your channel.I also do arts using Procreate.I have a Instagram handle and RUclips channel too.I have found commissions through fb group and still it’s a hard world for an artist.It’s never ever taught anywhere and yet you have to be brave and solve it.Glad you are posting and letting the world know,artist exist and they can earn too.I hope in future there’s something far more visible and comfortable earning streams even to artist.Mark Zuckerberg added in meta streams today about reels monetisation.Let’s see what’s store in future for creators around the globe.
