    Your videos helped me make the decision to get a Sienna for car camping! After an 18-month wait, I finally got a 2024 last December and love it! Thank you for your detailed information!

      We waited 18 months for our van too. Wasn't actually the one we ordered but one that someone else passed on. It's bonkers how long the wait is for these but it's worth getting in the end

    I've logged about one year of camping in my Prius. I wouldn't recommend setting the heat/ac to recirculate when sleeping overnight. I always set it to the fresh air option to avoid the build-up of CO2. In such a small space even one person breathing for 6 or more hours can increase CO2 to levels high enough to cause symptoms such as headache and grogginess..

    Thanks for your work. I am sold on the Sienna Hybrid. I drive an Avalon Hybrid and it is has been zero maintenance. Toyotas are bulletproof. I hope one day you build your Sienna out properly like "Eric Loves Earth" so you can have more organization and calm inside your little home. Godspeed brother.

    Just got my Grand Highlander hybrid, and I very much like it too. It's basically a very efficient generator on wheels giving you electricity and climate control on demand everywhere you go. I got 2 x 120v 1500w output inside of mine which is pretty nice.

    • @kevins-guitar-ukulele
      @kevins-guitar-ukulele  3 месяца назад

      Sounds great I do not have 120 V in my van other than a small inverter that I plug into the front cigarette lighter style plug. Having it built-in like you do would be great. 👍

      @@kevins-guitar-ukulele You still have the main feature of the hybrid system like climate control and I believe all the usb-c's outlet feeding off the hybrid battery. Plus amazing fuel consumption. That's better than any non-hybrid vehicle.

    • @edburck
      @edburck 4 дня назад

      @@olivierh-p8914the 1500 watt inverter is an option in all trim levels except the LE. I just submitted a build sheet at my local dealer for a new XSE AWD Premium with options that include it. Videos like this, and others which do have that factory feature, convinced me that for my use, this is literally THE perfect foundation for a RV to travel and camp in. Toyota reliability and quality combined with the ability to run that HVAC all day and night, and now the inclusion of the inverter, are game changers. The ONLY downside is not having standing room. The positives far outweigh the negatives for this use, to me anyway

    Great video! I’ve been in my 2017 Prius since 2020, the 24 hr climate control is awesome. I also have a simple bed platform in the back . I’m thinking about upgrading to a hybrid sienna a little bit more room. After locking doors from driver door side to prepare for sleep, does that message come on every time after 20 mins “ Do you want to keep car running.. yes or no” can disable this message in settings somewhere in the sienna ? Does this message come on every time when locking car and van is running?

    • @kevins-guitar-ukulele
      @kevins-guitar-ukulele  20 дней назад

      Hey thanks for checking it out! By default when you’re sitting inside in Ready Mode running the A/C or whatever the message will pop up that it will shut off after 1 hour, which it most definitely will. By locking all the doors using the lock button on the driver’s door this message goes away and the van will stay on all night.

    I have a 2022 Rav4 Hybrid and love it. Gets 44-45 mpg. Camp in it some. I just completed my free 2 year maintenance visits with the Toyota dealership where I purchased it. I asked them how much they charge for an oil change and they told me $190! That's crazy IMHO. I'll probably be doing oil changes myself or taking it somewhere else for that.

    Hey thank you for the great video! Just curious, how much gas is used for one night?

    • @kevins-guitar-ukulele
      @kevins-guitar-ukulele  2 месяца назад

      It depends on the difference in the temperature outside and what you set it to in the van, but I’d say around a gallon per night, maybe a bit less. Thanks for watching 👍

    There are two or three things that I would like to know. 1. How does the back bike rack work with the camera in the back? 2). I would like to have my Thule on top and a kayak mount. Any suggestions a top rack solution? 3). How difficult is it to take the seats out and then put back in as I would be wanting to using it for 3-6 months skiing and desert but then on ocasion I need all seven seats for going out with all my grandchildren.

    • @kevins-guitar-ukulele
      @kevins-guitar-ukulele  2 месяца назад +1

      The rear rack does block some of the rear camera view but it’s still workable for me. I would think if you got long enough top rack bars, you could put more than one thing on top no problem. Taking the seats in and out is doable, it would be a series of steps that you would follow not a problem really as long as you keep track of all the pieces and parts. Best of luck to you!
