    19:36 I've been in a game where there was a Mei denying access to this flank and we could not break through. Even if we sent 2 dps she would wall us in half and duel us one at a time. If things went south she would freeze herself and get backup from a Tracer she was queued with.

      Also, I've noticed Widow can be a real pain on defense last phase. Little cover, and she can get on the chandelier to kill supports over the top of Rein's shield.

    Did you know you can also press Win + (1, 2, 3, 4, ...) to select particular tabs in the task bar? I figure that will be helpful for you if you need to swap between, say, a vod, your drawing thing, and Overwatch. For example it could be Win + 1 for the vod, Win + 2 for the drawing thingy, and Win + 3 for Overwatch.
    Hopefully that's helpful.

    My super secret strat on Eichenwalde, on defence, on the last area, is to sit up on that balcony that you can't get to without movement abilities (usually as Mercy). It's such a safe spot to hide before rezzing, and you can reach a bit around the corner to heal people with jumping off then gliding back onto it.

    The mine/trap combo is very effective with all the narrow passages and doorways to keep cheeky flankers out of my blind spots

  • @isaiahb8079
    @isaiahb8079 7 лет назад +21

    in the future could you sometimes say where the rein stands, because as a rein main you show positioning that is far back and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be at the choke but maybe I'm a scrub and don't know anything

    • @shavedata5436
      @shavedata5436 7 лет назад +2

      Isaiah B you shouldn't really be right at the choke, try to stand at a good angle where they need to commit to wreck your shield

    • @avva4090
      @avva4090 7 лет назад +1

      yup. If you get too close to the choke, the other Rein can take a wide angle and pin you up against the side-wall of the choke even before you lose your barrier and he will probably live.

    • @daardarkness4230
      @daardarkness4230 7 лет назад

      Isaiah B I play alot of rein myself and i feel like its a bit of a dynamic choice. If the team is flank heavy I like to hold the choke as your team should win the shiels battle. Only thing about this is you need to have one or two anti-flankers that can watch your back. Just like above tho, you need to position in a way to allow you to charge a short distance and not be charged. If they are death bally and not very flank like holding back farther can be the way to go unless you have a mei or second shield like orisa to help you hold. For me if I fall to far back with the shield it gives the enemies confidence and your team less.

    Alt + Esc.... wow why did I never know about this XD

  • @TheLun4tic
    @TheLun4tic 7 лет назад

    well not quite. the dark souls reference area is a good TP spot xD
    Sneaky attack Symm works great if you just Rightclick Ball the first point then get your ass up that stair and put up a TP there and also destroy the enemy one if there is one. Because Eichenwalde has so much high ground advantage a TP on attack is more viable than the shieldgen but I always tend to make that decision depending on how good my team is. If they do not take advantage of high ground I tend to force them onto the high ground with my TP. If the team is pretty decent i give them the shield.

  • @tdmclaug3508

    You know. The problem now with 2 cp is, at least in the lower ranks, it is extremely good to defend on the point on the high ground. Not in hanamura or temple of Anubis, but in volskaya. As you may know, pros usually don't defend the choke because the high ground around the point is so good. Because of this, when teams now defend on the high ground, it is obviously a good place to defend and nobody knows how to deal with it. I also don't like people asking for likes. Like if you agree

    On first point, you said defenders are defending left or right. What I usually see is defenders standing directly on the choke, with DPS raining into the choke. That makes it a bit difficult to just push left or right. How can we break that?

    • @Clumaex
      @Clumaex 7 лет назад

      Soul-Burn Maybe use a flank as he has mentioned. I like to fly over the building as D.Va and contest the point to give my team the possibility to push through.

    • @Hudson0033
      @Hudson0033 7 лет назад +1

      Shave Data Have a tank or two on the payload with one DPS and the supports, and have one or two (ik I mentioned note that 6 peeps) DPS flank and contest the high ground (lucio can help here as he can knock people off as well as heal) this is my idea, (and how I do it) but I might be wrong.

    • @Skyline_OW

      I consider the in-game announcer voice canon.

    • @tawlney
      @tawlney 7 лет назад +1

      It is likely that that Eichen might also be pronounced I-Kh-en-Vald-eh (think how Reich is pronouced). But as far as I'm aware there are no silent e's in german. I am no expert here though.
      As a side note, the announcer is probably not pronouncing any of the non-english sounding maps the way they'd be pronounced in the native language (think Hanamura (different stress on "a" sound) or Dorado (obvious one being the "R" sound)).

    • @noirox4891
      @noirox4891 7 лет назад +1

      Tawlney
      The Solution is simple: In English is no sound for the "ch", while in german is for example no "th" sound. They just dont exist. The pronounciation in the example is perfectly right.
