I was there last week. It was my second time in Thailand and it was so awesome and fun. We did Skydiving and bunjee at Pattaya. Came in Bangkok just in time for Songkran and we had the time of our lives. Will definitely visit again. Thai people are so friendly and helpful and always smiling. Thank you for the experience.
The problem with staying out of a tourist area in Bangkok is if you go out for an evening in the tourist area you will be stuck with the wait time and the added expense of a taxi as there is no public transportation from midnight to 6 am.
Truly amazin, helpful and friendly people. The only thing I miss a bit of social aspect on the public transport (e.g. MRT, BTS and bus). It also has its charm though.
Hi! Now a days im watching you vlogs coz i will travel there in mid of august, thanks for all ur tips for travel around thailand hope i will meet u also 😊
Nice video, even I am not a friend of advising tourists to go to unspoiled places or areas. That will only attract hipsters with "bucket lists". And in the end places get destroyed.
Due to unforeseen complications (somebody breaking limbs), i've now been in Bangkok over 5 months instead of the 2 x 45 days originally planned... The invalid and I stopped being tourists but have plenty of time to observe the tourists and Arsen is right! Some have left their volume control box back home or they've gone deaf in the plane. Maybe they feel safety in numbers by shouting conversations at each other? I don't know what it is. However one thing is obvious : in the sky strain nobody can hear you scream!... Because the Thai are all plugged into their smart phones and they're oblivious to you.
Your videos are very helpful. I hope one day you can give me advice if I will travel there. Where to go, where to stay, where to discover the best places, where you can find the best Italian food too.
Try Rawai. Lived there for 4 1/2 years. Nice street to walk. Restaurants. But you'll need to take taxi to get to Patong. Be careful, don't get ripped off.
@@brucesnyder690 There is nowadays also a coach service running from the airport to Rawai via Hat Patong. I think every hour or so, but not late at night. That helps a little bit to avoid the taxi mafia.
If you love beaches, to travel to beaches from the old town are quite daunting as Phuket is HUGE! Patong is too much party, may be SURIN BEACH . It is nearest to the airport, save the taxi fare.
I tried as much as possible to travel like the locals such as the buses. I also hiked Bank Krachao from one to the other end and took a ferry and bus back to my apartment. I tried to be as friendly as possible, but not many Thais seemed that friendly. I was there for 3 months. I probably will make another trip, but I don't know.
I love travellers who discover places on their own, not adviced by RUclipsrs, Instagrammers or other Social media addicts. Yes, Bang Khrachao is not so easy to discover independentely. Especially when coming from the Eastern side via Khlong Toei it is advendures.
I use the bus 🚌 a lot , sometimes taxi 🚕 & walk , I mingle in as best I can. I avoid tourist areas 90% of the time . Where I live in northern Bangkok, not many farangs .. I like it here

i think i have major advice to every tourists. The legal rules in Thailand is the shop ,restaurant "must" show the price of the items. its good if u avoid the shop that u have to ask "how much is this?" and even the shop that shown the prices u could ask for more bargain, dont b shy its good for u to have a conversation too :) got bargain= thats good no more bargain = think that u practice Thai language its ok anyway.
If you watched Arsen’s previous vlogs he strongly disagrees with your advice of bargaining for meals. Its an insult to the hard working Thai people to do that
According to leaked hospital records,Burmese terrorist army leader Min Aung Hlaing mental illness (psychopath) is already very hard. He had been suffering from this disease since childhood.
Great attitude of gratitude! Thank you!

Thanks Arsen. Great video. We'll be there next weekend and staying for 3 weeks.last visit was 2019. We miss Thailand so much.
Thanks Arsen for the great tips and recommendations. When I visit I might do a bit of both touristic destinations and maybe some not so much.
Last month I was in Na Klua Area (north Pattaya) The beach is lovely and it's a bit quieter. Then we used a lot of the skytrain in Bkk

Carry on good luck .
You use the word "unless" wrong you should say "or otherwise" in place of "unless". I love your content. I have been to Thailand a few times.

What area do you recommend in Bangkok? Thanks

Go there. May surprise you that you can talk to a woman without her father/ husband/ partner being there
@@argonaut816 Aehhh.....5555 I am living in Bangkok....
Taxis are very good value too
The first time tourists may feel difficult to insist on meter or don’t know the right price.

So where can we shop without bargaining? You did not make a suggestion. Thank you

Do you really think it's better to stay in Old Phuket Town compared to Patong? I haven't booked my hotel for Phuket yet.

I would start be removing the blue backpac in town...😂😂
