Good Morning Curtis, I have been listening to your RUclips vid's and it sounds allot like you are talking about folks with businesses and or providers of services and or products. A little history on me, I worked for a financial institution for 25 years as a project manager. I was laid off last may and due to lack of education I cannot get back into the space. More so because my niche was security project management. I saw some videos on government contracting and saw an opportunity to put my experience to work for me in this space. I would like to become an "offerer" on contracts and hiring subs to complete them. Does your course/s help me to do this or are you more geared towards existing subs to become "offerers"?

How do you sell products to the government if you don't have the physical products what if you just can order from the manufacturer? What if the government cannot go to a big business because the solicitation is for small business so they choose you to get the products that they want from the big business oh, but you don't have those products so you're ordering from the big businesses and adding your price. How can you get the payment from the government to pay for the products that you have to order from the big business?

You submit a price based on your real costs (labor, overhead, general & administrative, fringe, & profit). Account for your direct & indirect expenses when bidding any contract.
Do you only offer advice to government contractors who sell products? I know you believe products, not services are the way to go, but the federal government spends BILLIONS on services. Technology and cybersecurity consulting, risk management (especially now), audit, financial reporting, PMO, etc. are all services. Agencies where I've consulted have paid a lot of money and continues to for these services. Thoughts?
No, I help both product and service-based companies. However, I personally specialize in service-based businesses. I have made millions with receipts to prove it within the services market. In one of my videos, I discussed that if I could go back in time that I would have created a product company, but I actually have a service-based business that provides cyber, IT, and intelligence operations support to DoD and the Intelligence Community (IC). I am a services guy, but got pulled into products during the pandemic. The money that was available during the pandemic gave me a different perspective, but I am a service-based company primarily. I do products when it makes sense. I hope that helps.

It depends. There are strategies to increase profits especially in the services space if you know what you are doing.
Question.. as a newbie, will there additional costs to be operational? Can I start with little to no money to get it off the ground or will I need additional funds to fulfill contracts for unknown reasons? I’m asking because I’m one of the broke subscribers 😂
It really depends on what you are trying to do. You might need $1K to get started. You should incorporate the business, and you will need to make a few small purchases. You don't even need the $1K all at once. Do what you can as the money becomes available. As you start putting things in place, the money will come. However, you may have to reprioritize some things at first. Money always follows an actionable plan. If you make entrepreneurship a real priority, the money will materialize. Never let money be a limiting factor in achieving your goals. As an entrepreneur, you must learn to be resourceful.

@@DrCurtisJr one more question sir. Would you suggest someone to focus a niche on what they have work experience in or something that they may not have experience in but has significant interest? I have a lot of work experience in the mental/behavioral health industry but I’ve always had a major interest in IT
@@dorian1689 I always recommend entrepreneurs cultivate their niches and differentiators. However, you are not limited to one service offering. I recommend that my students focus on 2-3 core competencies. For example, you could focus on IT and mental health. That is a completely acceptable strategy. You need to perform market research to determine who buys what you plan to sell.
