It was one of those 2), but either time constraints or something else prevented them from adding it in. With clear hints at a rework of the BeNeLux region, however, it COULD be finally added in. Also it will be interesting when it come out because for truckers MP the Calais to Duisburg road will no longer be there and will be replaced by the motorway E40 in Belgium and it will make it more interesting on truckers MP where it will be all motorway
And also the important routes connecting from France to Germany from the A16 connecting with E40 in Belgium and then connecting E17 in Antwerp then the E34 that runs through Netherlands into western Germany
Also the german A3 motorway extension to the border of the netherlands would be an important extra connection for poeple from Southeastern Europe/Austria/Germany to Rotterdam(NL), to Europoort port. The connection is already secret for a bit, between Duisburg(GER) and Dortmund(GER) there is a motorway extending the A3 Motorway in a hidden direction to the Netherlands, but you can't access it currently like in real life.

But if they love this route so much they can make a server with a map mod where there is still the old (boring and default looking) country road if they wish. I would rather see an additional city in that area. What about Bruges with the Zeebrügge Terminal? And since SCS can build the Cologne-Dusseldorf-Duisburg Corridor, they can also add Antwerp in between Brussels and Rotterdam. These cities are also not that close to each other compared to the Ruhr region.

I think SCS can dedicate a few people to add som "additional" roads into those "empty" spaces, it was already done in Spain in the past, it should not cost that much resourcewise as rewamp of countries or cities and it will add lot of fun! Especially "Andorra" with Pyrenees could be a nice xmas present for all the fans!
Same, but Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia can be reworked very late if they do this in 3 reworks. They also need much more details and more interesting landscapes. Then this would almost be: "The end" of old 2014 ets2. 🛠⏩, only UK left...🧐🚌 But the interesting part is, Ireland, Iceland, Northern Scandinavia, Greece, Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland all in multiple DLCs would also make the game much more fun to play with in the future.
@@jonny2954 they are not from ETS1. ETS1 was very diffrent had only London, Manchester and Newcastle with M1 & M6. UK from ETS2 is from UK Truck Simulator (2010) and the already overwritten Germany und Austria were from German Truck Simulator (2010).
To be honest, I would rather wait a bit longer to have for example the Munich part done in a same way as the Ruhrgebiet, Kassel or Alps. If there will be Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig ready for Christmas, I would be more than happy. Its quite a lot of work on those 5 cities and I dont want to see another Zagreb, Belgrade or Madrid ... (especially the first one is a big disappointenemt in otherwise excelent DLC).

This is really bad tbh, even on high end PC's the game will work like crap Edit: Today I tested the latest ver of the game again, with no dlc's, just the base game and I'm gonna say that something has been changed with this version. I got an stable 55-60 fps on public roads and highways, on cities like Dijon (keep in mind that this city is reworked) I got 30-40 fps due to the traffic. I no longer have big stutters, microstutters happens sometimes but they are just in urban areas. To mention that I'm playing in 900p and 100% scale, all post processing activated, no smaa or taa, ambient lights are on medium, low shadows, pedestrians on, and also 60 hz with vsync on. Anisotropic filtering is 3× btw I'm literraly happy tbh 😅

In order of release probably. Benelux and the UK since they are still from ETS1. And then they will start reworking the DLCs, Going East, Scandinavia and so on.
@@CurryBeatZ They are probably doint it like with the France DLC. Parts of France were already in the Game when the DLC released so they were reworked on release. They're going to rework Going East and at the same time rework the parts of Czechia and Poland that were in the base game.
They reworked Switzerland and Austria, they aren't only doing Germany. It's also about focus and team organisation. It's better to focus on one area at a time, besides Serbia has just came out in west Balkans that doesn't need reworking?
Its more to do with the usage rights, they'd have to pay the promods team for the work they've done as well. Some of the promods reworked areas are also looking a bit dated too. There's probably lots of reasons why they couldn't do something like that
