Wow. That was a pretty mean rat or hardy ants that nibbled your door seal away. My wife's 1965 Mustang's seal plate had ten screw, five on top and five on the inside. I checked our 1968 Cougar and discovered it doesn't have any. 😮. Another part to buy from WCCC. Thanks for another superb instructional video.
It is so much easier to rebuild door hinges on an early 70s Ford without front quarters on the car. Found that out the hard way. The bottom hinge was easy. The top one is a PITA as that back plate can fall down into the A pillar. Almost had to remove the dash pad to fish it out.
I have always done the inside of the car first. Meaning, take the sill and kick panel off first. Then you can duct tape the hinge plate in place so it don't fall after you take the hinge bolts out. And you can put the new hinge on while the door is shut. You can do that to all 4 hinges. Eliminates needing the 2nd person for the most part.
My doors are all out of whack from previous owner but always thought it was cosmetic and cosmetic takes a back seat to reliable. I have hinges for both doors and will replace this gives me hope that I can do it on my 65 Coupe. Thanks for tips and tricks.
The inner pillar should have a sheet metal hook the holds the threaded hinge plate in situ. while still allowing adjustment. For the sill scuff plate i have a shortened "stumpy" screwdriver that fits between the seat and screw head. I snap the hinge to the closed position in a vice (if i am doing it the way you are). Normally i have the door off the vehicle and the hinge is fully open. Nice as i have a door jack that fits on my floor jack 😊
Similar yes, same thickness and same 5/16"UNC threads, but a different outer shape. As each body shape was introduced, the backing plates changed shape (think 65/6 - 67/8 - 69/70)

They put the hinge onto the door first, then put the entire door in place.
Well done

I’ve ridden that struggle bus before too.
One of the sounds I dread is a Phillips bit spinning in the screw.
Are the replacement hinges you used any better than the original in terms of operation? Such as door opening positions
I need to do hinges and door alignment on my '65 Mustang. Does the '65 have similar hinge plates to this '67?

Use a rubber band to hold it in place.
